What PrimeStart provides, what we need from you, and how the service works.
Draft — legal review required. These terms have been prepared but not yet reviewed by a solicitor. They are published so they can be read and checked, and will be confirmed before PrimeStart accepts customers.
PrimeStart designs, builds, hosts and manages websites for small businesses in the United Kingdom, on a monthly subscription.
PrimeStart also provides ongoing SEO as an add-on to a website it manages. SEO is not sold on its own. A small number of earlier customers hold a standalone SEO arrangement made before that decision; where the terms below refer to it, they do so for those customers only.
These terms apply when you buy a PrimeStart subscription. Together with the Subscription Terms and the Privacy Policy they form the agreement between us.
Website — £79.99 per month for the first 12 months, which is the minimum term. We design and build your website (up to 5 pages as standard), host it, keep WordPress and its plugins updated, and make reasonable changes you ask for while your subscription is running. After the 12 months the website is yours, subject to these terms, and you may either move it elsewhere or continue PrimeStart hosting, management and support for £49.99 per month on a rolling basis.
SEO add-on — £270 per month on top of a PrimeStart Website, on its own minimum term of 6 months from the day SEO starts. Ongoing work to improve how your business appears in Google. SEO is not sold without a PrimeStart Website.
Website + SEO — £349.99 per month in total during the first 12 months of the Website (everything in the Website plan, plus SEO). After the Website's 12 months, if you continue PrimeStart management and keep SEO, the total is £319.99 per month (£49.99 management plus £270 SEO) at the prices in your agreement.
There is no upfront build fee. The monthly payment covers the design, the build and the ongoing service together. The prices you agree at the point of sale are the prices for your agreement; a change to our published prices does not change them.
A promotion applied to your order changes what you pay for the period it states. It does not change the minimum terms, when the website becomes yours, or your cancellation rights.
Paying the Website upfront — instead of 12 monthly payments you may pay the Website term in one payment of £815.90: the standard value of £959.88 less a 15% saving of £143.98. SEO is not discounted. An upfront customer chooses either to keep the website managed by PrimeStart for the 12 months (the recommended route, after which the website is theirs and management may continue at £49.99 per month), or to have the completed website handed over as soon as they have approved it, at which point PrimeStart's included hosting, maintenance, support and changes end. Choosing the handover does not reduce or refund the upfront payment.
GAP — AWAITING THE FINAL SOLICITOR-APPROVED WORDING: the upfront purchase, the early handover route, the end of included managed services on handover, the position on refunds after a voluntary early handover, what a handover contains, third-party licences and the treatment of the domain are summarised here only until the approved Website terms are supplied.
We need the information about your business that we ask for during onboarding, and any photographs, logos or written material you want used. We cannot build your website without it, and delays in providing it delay the work.
You confirm that anything you send us is yours to use, or that you have permission to use it. We rely on that, because we cannot check it for you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the facts on your website — your prices, your opening hours, your qualifications and your contact details. We will never invent any of them.
If you have bought SEO on a website we did not build, we also need access to that website and, where you have them, to your Google Business Profile and Google Search Console. We cannot audit, improve or measure a website we cannot reach, and until access is granted the work cannot start.
You confirm that you are entitled to grant that access. We will use it only for the work you have bought.
While your subscription is running you can ask for reasonable changes to a website PrimeStart built for you — updating text, swapping a photograph, changing your opening hours, adding a service. These are included.
On standalone SEO, changes to your own website are part of the SEO work rather than a separate request queue. We agree what will be changed with you as part of your plan, and we make only the changes you have agreed.
Work that goes beyond maintaining and improving your existing website — a second website, an online shop, a booking system, or a complete redesign to a different concept — is separate work that we will quote for before doing anything.
We will tell you which of the two something is before we start, not afterwards.
On the plans that include a website, your website is hosted by PrimeStart as part of the subscription. We manage the hosting, the security certificate and the software updates.
On standalone SEO we do not host your website and we are not responsible for it being available, backed up, updated or secure. Those remain matters between you and whoever provides your hosting. If your website goes offline, is changed by somebody else, or is rebuilt on a different platform, that may affect the SEO work and is outside our control.
GAP — NOT YET DECIDED: what happens to the website itself at the end of the minimum term, and whether it can be transferred to another host, has not been settled as PrimeStart policy. This must be decided and reviewed before launch rather than assumed.
Your website depends on services we do not own — hosting infrastructure, domain registration, email delivery, and where included Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Business Profile. We choose these carefully and manage them for you, but we cannot be responsible for their availability.
A Website runs for a minimum of 12 months. After that your original monthly commitment ends and the website is yours; PrimeStart management continues at £49.99 per month on a rolling basis unless you tell us to stop, or you ask us to hand the website over. The SEO add-on runs for a minimum of 6 months from the day it starts and may then be ended on 30 days' notice; ending SEO never ends the Website agreement.
