Web design for electricians
The 9pm fault, the landlord’s EICR, the EV charger.
Three people search for an electrician in the same week and none of them wants the same thing. One has half a house with no power. One is a landlord with a tenancy starting and no certificate. One has a car arriving and a bare wall where the charger goes. We build the website that answers all three, then host it, update it and look after it.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

Who is ringing you
Four kinds of electrical business. The website leads with yours.
Almost every electrical business leans one way, and the website should lean with it: what sits in the first screen, what the buttons say, and which page a customer lands on from Google.
Homeowners, and the urgent ones will not wait.
Something has tripped, a socket has stopped working, or the fuse board is older than the kitchen. They are on a phone, standing in front of the problem, and they will ring whoever looks local, registered and awake.
What the site leads with
- Tap-to-call before anything else loads
- Fault finding, fuse boards, sockets and lighting
- The towns you will genuinely turn out to
- Your call-out fee or hourly rate, if you publish one
An EICR, a tenancy starting Friday, and no certificate.
Letting agents and landlords do not browse. They want to know you do EICRs, how quickly the report comes back, what happens if something fails, and whether you can handle more than one property without a separate conversation for each.
What the site leads with
- A section written for landlords and agents
- What the observation codes mean, in everyday terms
- What happens when remedial work is needed
- An enquiry form that takes several addresses
Offices, shops and units, priced from a specification.
A facilities manager or shopfitter is checking whether you are the right size of firm for the job. They are looking for the kind of work you have done, whether you can work out of hours, and the paperwork their own compliance file will need.
What the site leads with
- Project pages that describe real installations
- Testing, maintenance and emergency lighting
- Out-of-hours and shutdown working
- Insurance and scheme details, ready to be checked
A car arriving in three weeks and a bare wall.
Charge points, batteries and solar bring a different customer: planned, dated work with a clear scope, and a long list of questions before anyone books. The site answers the questions so the call is about the date, not the basics.
What the site leads with
- What a home charge point installation involves
- Why the supply, the earthing and the cable run matter
- Solar, battery and immersion diverters, if you fit them
- Approved-installer status, if you hold it
Most electrical businesses are two of these at once. The site can lead with one and still answer the others properly; what it should never do is bury the work you actually want.
Two languages, one page
You call it a consumer unit. They call it the fuse box.
The trade term and the words a customer types are rarely the same, and the customer is the one doing the typing. Every service on your site carries both, so the page that answers a question is the page a search engine can match to it.
- 01Consumer unit upgradeServices, with what an RCD actually does underneath it
- fuse box replacement
- old fuse board
- trip switch keeps going
- 02EICR and landlord certificatesIts own section, written for landlords and letting agents
- electrical safety certificate
- landlord electrical certificate
- EICR cost
- 03Fault finding and repairsHome page, beside your number
- no power upstairs
- sockets not working
- electrician near me
- 04Full and partial rewiresServices, with what a rewire actually involves and how long a house is disrupted
- house rewire
- old wiring
- do I need rewiring
- 05EV charge point installationIts own section if you fit them, with the survey questions answered first
- ev charger installer
- home car charger fitted
- 7kW charger installation
- 06Lighting, sockets, showers and cookersGrouped on Services, so a long list still reads quickly
- extra socket fitted
- downlights installed
- electric shower installation
Illustrative. During onboarding you tell us what you take on and what you would rather not, and we write every service twice over: the way you say it, and the way somebody asks for it at half past nine at night. Nothing is published until you have read it.

Registration and insurance
Registered, insured, and easy to check.
A careful customer can look an electrician up before they ring: the competent person scheme registers are public and anyone can search them. So the job of the website is to put your details where they are easy to find and easy to match.
We never add a badge, a scheme number or a review you have not given us. If you are not registered for a particular kind of work, nothing on the site suggests that you are.

- NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA or STROMA registration
- Your competent person scheme number, shown so a customer can look you up on the register
- Part P registration for domestic work in England and Wales
- 18th Edition, and the inspection and testing qualifications behind your certificates
- Public liability insurance
- TrustMark registration
- Reviews you have collected, shown as they were written
The part customers do not know to ask about
Notifiable work, and the certificate at the end of it.
Most people have never heard of Part P until a sale falls through or an insurer asks a question. A new circuit, a consumer unit change, work in a bathroom: some jobs have to be notified to Building Control, and an electrician registered with a competent person scheme can certify their own work and have the notification handled for the customer.
That is worth explaining on the website, because it is the difference between you and the lowest quote on the job. If you are registered, we set out what the customer actually receives at the end of the job, in language they understand, and why it is worth keeping.
If you are not registered for that kind of work, the site says nothing of the sort. It only ever states what you have told us you hold.

The site plan
Tick what you take on. Watch the plan change.
This is the same conversation we have at onboarding, with your real services and areas in place of these. Five pages covers most electrical businesses; the shape of them depends entirely on the work you want more of.
What do you offer?
Tick anything that applies. You can change your mind during onboarding.

Website + SEO
The searches that change what your week looks like.
SEO is ongoing monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Most electricians start on Website and add SEO when they want to change the mix: fewer late-night call-outs, more certification work, more planned installations.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
A position on Google, a number of calls or a number of jobs. Nobody honest can. What SEO does is put steady monthly work behind how local customers find you, and report exactly what was done.
- 01“emergency electrician Nottingham”
Typed at night, from a house with no power, by somebody who will ring the first business that looks local and registered. Unplanned work, at the rate you charge for it.
- 02“EICR Nottingham”
A landlord or letting agent with a tenancy starting and a certificate to produce. One property often turns into a portfolio, and portfolios come back around again.
- 03“EV charger installation Nottingham”
Someone who has ordered a car and wants a price for a charge point. Dated, planned work with a clear scope, booked weeks ahead of the van turning up.
Examples only. Your three searches are agreed with you, based on the work you want more of and what people near you actually type.

- 2
Tell us about the business
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the work you take on, your areas and hours, how you charge, your scheme registration and insurance, your logo and any photographs.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have everything we need. If something is missing we say exactly what, and work with what you have where we can.
- 4
First draft
You see a working draft on a laptop and a phone, and tell us what to change. Read it in the van, the way your customers will.
- 5

Reasonable in-scope revisions, then you approve it. Nothing goes live until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
