Web design for plumbers
Web design for plumbers, built for the call that can't wait.
Plumbing is searched for in a hurry, on a phone, by somebody standing over the problem. They want three answers before they dial: do you cover my street, do you do this job, can I reach you now. The same website then has to hold up on a Saturday morning, when a family is comparing plumbers before anyone prices a new bathroom. We design and build for both, then host it and look after it for £49.99 a month.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

Two customers, one site
Two phone calls. One website.
Plumbing is bought in two moods: water coming through a ceiling right now, or a bathroom planned over a coffee. Most plumbers' websites serve one and lose the other.
A joint has let go under the bath and the kitchen light is dripping. They are searching one-handed, bucket in the other, and they'll ring the first plumber who looks local, real and awake.
- A tap-to-call button in the first screen, before anything else loads
- The areas you cover in the opening line, not buried on a contact page
- Your call-out hours, stated honestly
- Insurance and any registration you hold, visible without scrolling
The old suite is going and a walk-in shower is going in. They'll read two or three plumbers over a coffee, look hard at finished bathrooms, and message whoever explained the job best. This is the work with the margin in it.
- Every service written in the words customers use, not catalogue names
- Photographs of your own finished rooms, where you have them
- A short enquiry form with a photo upload, straight to your inbox
- Your Google or Checkatrade reviews, if you have them
If you only take planned work, we won't invent an emergency service for you. If you do turn out at three in the morning, nobody will miss it.
Before they ring
A plumber is judged on a phone screen before anyone hears their voice.
When a customer has water coming through the ceiling they do not read three websites. They glance at three, and one of them looks like a real, local, awake business. That is the one they ring.
On the Saturday-morning bathroom quote the judgement is slower and harder: photographs of finished rooms, services explained without jargon, reviews, and a form that obviously works. The website is doing the first interview for you, before you know the enquiry exists.
The same business three ways: a listing on a directory, an out-of-date website, and a PrimeStart website with services, areas and a clear way to get in touch.
What we build
A plumber's website, designed around how plumbing is bought.
Bramley Plumbing & Heating is the example we build to: a fictional Leeds plumber, shown here on a laptop and on the phone most of its customers will actually use.
- Custom-designed for plumbingEmergency work first, planned work second, heating only if you do gas. The structure follows the two ways a plumber is chosen, not a template.
- Services in your customers' wordsLeaking tap, no hot water, blocked toilet, new bathroom. Named the way people search, with the jobs you want more of first.
- Your areas, on every pageThe towns, districts or postcodes you cover, written so a local customer recognises their own street.
- Two ways in, both one tapA call button that stays in reach as they scroll, and a short enquiry form with a photo upload, straight to your inbox.
- Generally five pages, all of them earningHome, services, areas covered, about and credentials, contact. Enough to answer every question a customer has, and nothing thin.
See what every Website includes
Bramley Plumbing & Heating is an example business, designed to show the standard we build to, which is why it names Horsforth and Pudsey rather than your streets. Not a named customer. Web design in Leeds has a page of its own.
Your work, your words
Built around the work you actually take on.
During onboarding you tick what you offer. We write each service the way a customer thinks about it, not the way a merchant's catalogue is ordered.
The work people search for in a panic, each with your number beside it.
Leaks and burst pipes
Under sinks, behind toilets, in the loft, through a ceiling. What you attend same day.
No hot water or heating
Cylinder, immersion and boiler faults, worded so a customer recognises their own problem.
Blocked sinks, baths and toilets
The blockages you clear, and where you'd bring in a drainage specialist.
Planned work, judged on photographs and clarity. Your finished jobs persuade here.
Full bathroom installation
Strip-out to finished room, with what you handle and where you bring in a tiler.
Showers and wet rooms
Electric, mixer and digital showers, plus tanking and falls where you fit a wet room.
Toilets, basins and taps
Straight swaps and upgrades, with fixed prices shown if that's how you work.
Kitchen plumbing
Sinks, dishwashers, washing machines and boiling-water taps.
Shown only if you do gas. Gas Safe registration sits beside every heating service, with your number if you want it displayed.
Boiler repair and servicing
Annual services, fault finding and landlord gas safety records where you carry them out.
Boiler replacement
The makes you fit, the warranties they carry and how you price a new one.
Central heating installation
New systems, extensions to an existing one, and underfloor heating if you fit it.
If you don't touch gas, the heating section simply doesn't exist on your site.
The first ten seconds
Five decisions a customer makes before your phone rings.
Nobody browses plumbers' websites. They check, and they leave the moment an answer is missing. Each answer sits where the question happens.
- 01
"Do they cover my street?"
Your towns, postcodes or a radius from your base, in the first screen and on every page after it. You choose the areas. We make them impossible to miss.
- 02
"Do they do the job I've got?"
Services named the way people search: leaking tap, no hot water, blocked toilet, new bathroom. No jargon, no padding.
- 03
"Can I get hold of them now?"
Your number is one tap from every screen, with a short enquiry form beside it. Two ways in, both simple.
- 04
"How do they charge?"
A call-out fee, an hourly rate or fixed prices: whichever you use, the site says so. A clear number beats a mystery.
- 05
"Is this a real business?"
A current, uncluttered design with your van, your work and your name on it. Professional, not pretending to be national.
Managed, not handed over
You run the plumbing. We run the website.
The monthly figure is not for a website file. It is for a website that stays built, hosted, secure, current and looked after, for as long as you are with us.
You never have to
- Learn WordPress, or ever log into it
- Buy hosting, a domain name or an SSL certificate
- Run updates, or restore a backup after something breaks
- Work out why the enquiry form stopped arriving
- Rebuild the site every few years because it looks dated
- Find a designer when you add a service or a new area
PrimeStart does
- Design and build the website around your plumbing business
- Host it, with your domain name and SSL included
- Keep it secure, backed up and updated every month
- Keep the forms and the call button reaching you
- Test it on the phones your customers actually use
- Make reasonable small changes when you ask, such as a new area, a new service or new photographs, subject to fair use
Phone first, properly
Read one-handed, in a room with water on the floor.
Most plumbing enquiries start on a mobile, often with the customer looking straight at the problem. The site is designed for that screen first, and the laptop version is laid out afterwards.
- Your number is the biggest thing on the screen
A tap-to-call button that stays in reach as they scroll, and a WhatsApp link if you prefer that.
- Areas before anything else
The opening line says where you work, so the wrong town leaves and the right one keeps reading.
- Quick on a poor signal
Photographs are compressed and loaded as needed, so the page opens on mobile data in a cellar or a loft.
- A form that asks the right questions
Where is the problem, is water still running, can you send a photograph. Enquiries reach you with enough to price the job.
Credentials
Show what you've earned. Nothing you haven't.
Somebody letting a stranger into their home looks for a registration and insurance before anything else. Yours go on the home page, the about page and beside the enquiry form.
We never add a badge, a review or a line about years on the tools that you haven't given us. It's your name on the site and your reputation on the doorstep.
What we display, if you hold it
- Gas Safe registration, for any gas and heating work
- WaterSafe or WIAPS approved plumber status
- CIPHE or APHC membership
- Public liability insurance
- Manufacturer installer accreditation for the boilers you fit
- The G3 unvented cylinder qualification
- Your Google, Checkatrade or Trustpilot reviews
Scheme names illustrate what we display. You tell us what you hold during onboarding, and the site shows exactly that.
Website + SEO
When you want to change the mix of work coming in.
Website + SEO is ongoing monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you, with the website included rather than charged on top. Most plumbers start on the Website and add SEO when they want to shift the balance: fewer late-night call-outs, more bathrooms and boilers.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
A position on Google, a number of calls or a number of jobs. Nobody honest can. What SEO does is put steady monthly work behind how local customers find you, and report exactly what was done, which is a different thing from launching a website and forgetting about it.
- emergency plumber near me
- boiler repair near me
- bathroom fitting near me
Examples only. The three searches are agreed around the jobs you want more of and what people near you actually type: emergency plumber and your town, boiler repair and your town, leak repair and the estate you work most. Each month the work is research, page improvements, your Google Business Profile, local listings and a report of what was done. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
Your Client Platform
One place to see where your website is up to, from the van.
Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform from the day they sign up. It is where the project happens: no chasing by email, no wondering what stage you are at, and after launch, where you send the next set of bathroom photographs.
- Follow the build stage by stage, from onboarding to launch
- Message PrimeStart without digging out an email thread
- Send your logo, certificates and photographs of finished jobs
- Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and ask for changes page by page
- Approve the website before anything is published
- See your plan and payments, and ask for changes or support after launch
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
Most plumbers open it between jobs.
Need something extra later? No problem. PrimeStart customers can order additional services such as extra pages, branding and one-off optimisation through their client dashboard whenever they need them.

Safe to say yes to
Four things you can hold us to.
-
Nothing goes live until you approve it
You see the first draft on a phone and a laptop, ask for reasonable in-scope changes under the Pre-Launch Design Promise, and the website is published only when you say so.
-
No bill for the build
The upfront website design fee is £0. Your first monthly payment is taken at signup, and every figure is stated in full before you agree to anything.
-
The website is yours after the term
Complete the 18-month minimum term and the website belongs to you: stay on a rolling month, or take it elsewhere.
-
One place to see where things are
Your own Client Platform, from the day you sign up: the stage the project is at, what is needed from you, your messages, your files, your plan and your payments.
How it works
You're under a sink all day. Your part is short.
Choose a plan, tell us about the business, look at the draft. We do everything in between, including writing the words.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. Your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Tell us about the business
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the work you take on, your areas and hours, how you charge, any registration numbers, your logo and job photographs.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have everything we need. If something is missing we say exactly what.
- 4
First draft
You see a working draft on a laptop and a phone, and tell us what to change. Look at it from the van, not the kitchen table.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope revisions, then you approve it. Nothing goes live until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
