Websites for cobblers and leather repair shops

One pair of boots needs new heels before the weekend. One handbag has sentimental value and a stitch that's come apart.

PrimeStart designs a website around your shoe or leather repair business, then hosts it, updates it and looks after it for you. Built to serve the quick while-you-wait job and the considered repair alike — from £99.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

One customer wants speed. One wants honesty about what can be saved.

Worn heels are a quick, priced job. A treasured handbag is a trust decision. A website that only speaks to one loses the other.

01

A quick job wants a straight answer, fast

Opening hours, typical pricing and whether it can be done while they wait, so a customer doesn't make a wasted trip.

02

A sentimental item wants an honest assessment first

What can genuinely be saved, stated plainly, so someone trusting a valued item to a stranger knows where they stand.

03

Real work on the bench does the persuading

Before-and-after photographs of real repairs tell a customer more about the standard of work than any description could.

04

They want to describe the item, not fill in a generic form

A repair enquiry that asks for the item, its condition and photos gets an honest assessment started without a wasted visit.

Getting customers

Somebody with worn heels, or a handbag that means something, is searching right now.

“Cobbler near me”, “shoe repair cost”, “can this handbag be fixed” — different searches, different items. SEO is the ongoing work of being found for each one.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, “cobbler Norwich”, “shoe repair Norfolk” and “leather repair near me” — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so you appear on the map with your services, your areas and a way to reach you.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask satisfied customers for a Google review after a repair is finished, because reviews are what someone checks before trusting a sentimental item to a shop.
  • Content that answers real questions. What a heel repair actually costs, and how a leather item is assessed — the things people search for before they are ready to walk in.
  • A monthly report you can read. What we did, what moved, and what's next — in your Client Platform, in clear, straightforward language.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

Opening hours for a quick job and an honest assessment for a considered one need different treatment.

A customer with worn heels and a customer with a sentimental handbag are both making a real decision, but not the same one, and a template can't tell the difference. We build the counter's quick services and the workshop's considered repairs as two clear paths through the same site.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in. It's built around while-you-wait pricing shown plainly, an honest assessment process for considered repairs, and real work photographed on the bench.

“One customer wants their heels back before the weekend. One wants an honest answer about a handbag that means something. Neither wants a promise the shop can't keep.”

    Opening hours and typical pricing

The while-you-wait repairs listed clearly, so a quick job stays quick.

  • 2

    Honest, before anything is promised

What can and cannot be saved, stated plainly, rather than a promise made to win the job.

  • 3

    Not a brochure render

Repairs photographed before and after on the bench, so a customer can judge the standard before trusting a valued item to it.

  • 4

Key cutting and the small jobs

The everyday services many shops also run, set out alongside the repair work rather than left off the site.

Most of our customers are passing footfall who already know us. Do we need a website?
Passing footfall keeps the counter busy on a good day. A website is what a new customer checks before carrying a valued item across town — and it works on the days footfall doesn't.
How much does a website for a cobbler or leather repair shop cost with PrimeStart?
The managed website is £99.99 a month for up to 7 pages, with a 12-month initial term, or £1,019.90 paid upfront for the year (a 15% saving). SEO is optional: +£99.99 a month for Essential or +£249.99 a month for Growth, and prepaying the website and SEO together for the first year saves 25%. After the first 12 months the managed website continues at £49.99 a month, with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice. Existing customers keep the pricing in their own agreement.
Can the site show which repairs are while-you-wait?
Yes. The quick, counter repairs you can do on the spot are listed separately from the considered repairs that need longer, so a customer knows what to expect before they walk in.
Will the site promise that any item can be repaired?
No. The site sets out an honest assessment process instead, so a customer understands what genuinely can and cannot be saved before they leave the item, rather than being promised a result that isn't realistic.
Can we show real before-and-after photos of repairs?
Yes. Real repairs shown honestly, on the bench, do more to earn trust than any description of the craft.
What happens if a repair goes wrong?
Your own guarantee or returns policy is set out plainly on the site. Gov.uk's own consumer rights guidance sets out what a customer is entitled to more generally.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
Can the site handle a considered repair that needs more than a while-you-wait visit?
Yes, as a separate repair enquiry that asks for the item, its condition and photos, so an honest assessment can be given before it's dropped off.
