Web design for landscapers
Most of your work is buried before anyone sees it.
A garden that still looks right in five years is sub-base, falls and drainage. The customer sees none of it, compares your quote with one that is two thousand pounds cheaper, and has no way to tell the difference. A landscaper's website has one job: make the invisible half of the work visible. We build it around your projects stage by stage, then host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

How a garden is built
Four stages, in an order that cannot be swapped.
Every landscaping quote you lose to a cheaper number is lost on stage one, because that is the stage the customer cannot see and the other quote has skipped. Explaining the order is the most commercially useful thing your website can do.
This section is the difference between being a price and being a decision. It also puts off the customer who wants a patio laid on sand in a weekend.
- 01
1. Ground: dig, sub-base and falls
Excavate to depth, cart the spoil away, then a compacted sub-base built in layers. The falls are set here — away from the house, to where the water is actually going. Get this wrong and no amount of expensive stone saves the job.
- 02
2. Structure: walls, steps and edges
Retaining walls, footings, steps and the edge restraints that stop a patio spreading. This is the part that has to be right before anything decorative happens, and the part a customer never budgets for.
- 03
3. Surface: paving, turf and drainage
Porcelain, sandstone or block paving laid on a full wet bed with the joints filled properly, or topsoil graded and turf laid on prepared ground. Front gardens have drainage rules of their own, and permeable build-ups matter.
- 04
4. Planting, lighting and the finish
Beds prepared and planted, ducting run for lighting and irrigation before the surfaces close, and the site left clean. The last day is the one they photograph and show people.
Each project on your site is written this way: what was there, what we did at each stage, how long it took and where it is. Nobody has to guess what their own garden would involve.
The projects
One finished photograph sells the garden. Five sell the build.
A single glossy after shot looks like everybody else's website. A run of pictures from the same job — the dig, the base, the walls, the surface, the finish — looks like a company that knows what it is doing, and it is far harder for a cheaper quote to argue with.

Photographs here are illustrative. Your projects replace them, grouped by job and captioned by stage.
Three kinds of customer
A patio, a whole garden and a developer are three different businesses.
Somebody wanting a patio has a number in their head and wants it done before the summer. Somebody wanting the whole garden re-thought wants a designer as much as a builder, and will wait for the right company. A builder or developer wants a price, a programme and no hand-holding. All three search differently and all three worry about different things, so they get their own routes through the site rather than one page trying to please everyone.
It matters locally too. Somebody in Harrogate types landscapers near me, somebody in Knaresborough types garden design because they have been saving pictures for two years, and somebody in Wetherby types the thing they want built. Each should land on a page that already looks like the garden in their head, with the towns you build in written where they can see them.

The enquiry
A landscaping quote starts with a visit. The form's job is to earn one.
Nobody can price a garden from an email, and pretending otherwise wastes your evening and their time. So the form does not try to produce a number. It gathers exactly what you need to decide whether this is your kind of job and worth a Saturday morning.
- 1Size, slope and what is there now
Enough to picture the job. A garden that falls towards the house is a different quote from a flat one, and it is better said at the start than discovered on site.
- 2Access, honestly
The question that decides the price and everybody forgets. A 900mm side gate means barrowing every tonne by hand. The form asks it plainly so your day rate is not eaten by a surprise.
- 3A budget range, offered not demanded
Most people will give a range if you explain why you are asking. It stops you quoting £20,000 work to a £5,000 budget, and stops them waiting a week to find out.
- 4Photographs from the back door
Four pictures tell you more than four paragraphs. It arrives as one message with a postcode, and you decide which visits are worth the diary.
If you would rather people rang, your number stays the biggest thing on every page. The form is for the ones who never will.
Credentials
You are asking for a five-figure deposit from a stranger.
A landscaping job is the most expensive thing most people buy for their house after a kitchen, and it is paid for in stages to a company they found online. What you hold, how you are insured and how the money is staged are not small print. They are the reason somebody says yes.
We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no claims about how long you have been trading.
Things we'll display if you hold them
- Public liability insurance, with the level you carry
- Employers' liability insurance if you have a team
- Waste carrier registration with the Environment Agency
- BALI or APL membership
- RHS or City & Guilds horticulture qualifications
- CSCS cards, plant tickets and NPTC certificates
- Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Checkatrade, Houzz
Scheme names here are illustrative. You tell us what you hold during onboarding, and that is exactly what appears.
Your site plan
Five pages, organised the way a customer decides.
People do not arrive ready to buy a garden. They arrive wanting to know whether you build the kind of garden they have been imagining, and whether you work near enough to bother ringing.

The logic of SEO
Visibility for the job you want, not the job you get asked for.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. For a landscaper the searches are unusually powerful, because each one arrives with a different budget attached.
The kind of searches SEO works on
- garden design and build Harrogate
- landscapers Harrogate
- patios and paving Harrogate
£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
- 1
A website that matches the work
Somebody about to spend fifteen thousand pounds compares three companies on a phone. The one whose projects are shown stage by stage, with real timescales, is the one that reads as a business rather than a van.
- 2
Found by the people already looking
The SEO work is monthly work on the local searches, your Google Business Profile and the listings that decide who appears when somebody near you types landscapers near me.
- 3
The searches decide the budget
Visibility for garden design and build brings whole-garden projects. Visibility for patio brings a fortnight's work. Choosing the three searches is choosing the size of job that lands in your inbox.

A site built to earn the visit
Projects at the top, the ground work explained, and a form that asks about access and budget. Attention is no use unless the enquiry is worth a Saturday morning.
We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts.
Your Client Platform
One place to watch it being built, and to send the next project.
Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives: the stage it has reached, what we are waiting on, the draft to look through, and the button that says you are happy with it.
- Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
- Send project photographs straight from your phone as a job finishes
- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and mark up changes
- Approve the website before anything goes live
- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
There is nothing technical to learn. One login to your Client Platform, and you never have to open WordPress.

The plans
The same landscaping website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A landscaper's website built around projects shown stage by stage, and an enquiry worth a site visit.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.
Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed local searches, chosen for the size of job you want. How SEO works

How it works
Your part is one evening, not one of your programmes.
Choose a plan, send us the project photographs already on your phone and a few facts about how you work, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us three projects
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: what you build, the towns you cover, photographs of two or three finished jobs, your logo if you have one, and where enquiries should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a project is missing its during shots or a service needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a laptop and a phone: projects by stage, the ground work explained, and the site-visit form.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
You build the garden. We'll build the website.
