Web design for DJs and entertainment

The date is free or it is not. The rest is detail.

Every enquiry starts the same way, and most DJ websites make somebody scroll past a biography and a list of equipment before they can ask. Put the date first, say what a night costs, show the venues you have played and have the insurance and testing paperwork ready, and you win bookings from people who never even rang the next name on the list. We build that, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

Checking a date

One field decides the whole conversation. Put it first.

A DJ's diary is the product. Everything else on the site is persuasion, and persuasion is worthless if the date has gone. Ask for it at the top, ask four more useful things underneath, and the first reply can be an answer with a price rather than three days of messages.

  • Date, venue, times, type of event

Four fields and you can quote. Anything more and people abandon the form; anything less and you are back to email tennis before you know whether it is even worth it.

  • Ask about the venue by name

You may already know its curfew, its power, its noise limiter and whether the loading door is round the back. Knowing before you reply is what makes you sound like the professional you are.

  • Reply fast, and say you will

In this trade the first credible reply usually gets the booking. Saying "I answer every enquiry within 24 hours" on the page is a promise you can keep and most competitors will not.

PrimeStart sites do not take deposits or payments and do not include a live diary. The enquiry arrives as an email; your own contracts, deposits and calendar carry on exactly as they do now.

Packages

Three packages, so nobody has to ask what a night costs.

"Contact us for a quote" is the most expensive sentence on an entertainment website. People are comparing three or four names on a Sunday evening, and the ones who publish a figure get the enquiry from everybody who can afford it and none of the wasted time from those who cannot.

  • Say what a package includes physically

Hours, the rig, the lighting, a microphone, set-up and take-down. People are not comparing your taste in music at this stage; they are comparing what turns up.

  • Name what costs extra

Travel beyond a certain distance, an early set-up because the venue needs the room cleared, dancing on the clouds, extra lighting. Publish it and the first invoice never surprises anybody.

  • Deposits and cancellation in one line

What holds the date and what happens if plans change. It is the question people are most nervous about asking, and answering it plainly wins trust immediately.

Evening reception£495Five hours, full sound and dance floor lighting, wireless microphone for the speeches, set up before guests arrive and cleared afterwards.
All day wedding£795Ceremony sound, background music through the drinks and the meal, then the evening. One set-up, one team, no gap where the room goes quiet.
Sound and lighting only£295Delivered, set up and collected, for bands, ceilidhs and parties running their own playlist. Includes the microphone and a technician on call.

Prices shown are the example company's illustrative rates. Yours are your own, and we change them whenever you want.

What venues ask for

The paperwork that gets you through the door.

Wedding venues increasingly ask suppliers for documents before they will let them set up, and the DJ who has them ready is the one the coordinator recommends next time. Putting them on the website turns an administrative chore into a competitive advantage.

We display exactly what you hold, and nothing more. No invented awards, no fabricated reviews, no accreditation you cannot evidence.

Things we'll display if they apply to you

  • Public liability insurance, and the level of cover
  • PAT testing on your equipment, and when it was last done
  • Whether you carry backup equipment and what happens if something fails
  • The venues you regularly play, named
  • Experience with noise limiters, and how you work with them
  • Whether you take requests, and how you handle a "do not play" list
  • Genuine reviews from past clients, with their permission

Venue coordinators are a referral source, not just a gatekeeper. A page they can check in thirty seconds makes recommending you the easy option.

Where you play

Late-night travel is a real cost, so say where you go.

Finishing at midnight, packing down for an hour and then driving is the part of the job nobody sees. Being clear about the area you cover, and what a longer trip costs, means the enquiries that arrive already make sense.

  • Name the venues, not just the towns

People search for their venue and the word DJ. Listing the venues you have played is one of the highest-converting things an entertainment website can carry.

  • Say what travel costs beyond the area

A flat figure past a certain distance is simple and fair, and it turns "do you cover Cambridge?" into a booking rather than a conversation.

  • Overnight and multi-day events

Festivals, weekend weddings and corporate events away from home work differently. A line saying you do them, and what changes, opens up work most local DJs never see.

Your site plan

Five pages, and the date form is on every one of them.

The structure is simple because the decision is simple: is the date free, what does it cost, and can I trust this person with the most important evening of the year.

Your Client Platform

Update next season's prices on a Sunday afternoon.

Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives while it is being built, and where you ask for changes once it is live.

  • Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
  • Send new photographs from last night's wedding
  • Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
  • Preview the draft on a phone before anybody else sees it
  • Approve the website before it goes live
  • Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
  • See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)

New insurance certificate, a venue added to the list, a price change for next year. All of it is a message rather than a project.

More about the Client Platform

Website + SEO

Three searches, and one of them has a venue already booked.

Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Entertainment searches are made by people with a date in mind, which makes them unusually easy to convert once they arrive.

  • £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
  • 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
  • Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
  • 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
What we don’t promise

Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not. What we commit to is the agreed work every month, tracking what happens, and changing course when the evidence says to.

  1. wedding dj near me
  2. party dj near me
  3. mobile disco near me

The venue-plus-DJ searches are often the most valuable of all, because the person has already committed to the date and the place. We research your area and the venues near you first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

The plans

The same entertainment website, with or without the monthly SEO work.

The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.

An entertainment website that answers availability and price immediately, and has the paperwork venues ask for ready on the page.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works

Your part happens on a weekday, not a weekend.

Choose a plan, send us your packages and photographs, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

  2. 2

    Send us the detail

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: your packages and prices, what the rig includes, the venues you play, insurance and testing documents, photographs, travel rules, and where enquiries should land.

  3. 3

    Ready to Build

We check we have what we need. If a price or a travel rule needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.

  4. 4

    First draft

A working draft on a phone first, with the date enquiry in place so you can send yourself a test one.

  5. 5

    Approve and launch

Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions DJs and entertainers ask us

How much does a website for a DJ cost?
£49.99 a month. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first £49.99 payment is taken at signup. The Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 monthly payments of £49.99, or £899.82 in total. That covers the design and build, managed hosting, your domain name, SSL, security, backups, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry forms, basic Google foundations, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, and your Client Platform.
What happens at the end of the 18 months?
The website is yours. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, you can stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the relevant third-party licences, which we explain at the time.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is included in the Website and managed by PrimeStart alongside the hosting and the SSL certificate. If you already own one, we work with the domain you have.
Can the website show my live availability?
Not from your diary directly. PrimeStart sites do not include a booking engine or a calendar fed by your own system. What works is a date enquiry with the date at the top, answered quickly, and a note of the months that are filling up. If you already use booking software, we link straight into it.
Should I publish my prices?
Yes, as a starting figure for each package. People shortlist three or four names in an evening, and the ones who publish a price get the enquiry from everybody who can afford them. You are not committing to a fixed fee for every event: you are saying where you start and what changes it.
Can I take deposits through the site?
No. PrimeStart sites do not include payments. The site produces a detailed enquiry by email and your own contracts, deposits and invoicing carry on exactly as they do now. If you already use a system for that, we link to it.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment and onboarding alone do not start that period. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
SEO is optional ongoing work on your visibility for three agreed local searches, at £349.99 a month in total with the Website included: the £49.99 is not charged on top. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it also counts towards the 18-month Website term. For entertainment, the venue-related searches are often the most valuable. Nobody can promise a position on Google or a number of bookings, and we do not.
