Web design for exterior cleaning companies

In this trade, the photograph is the whole sale.

Half a driveway cleaned. Green render on the left, cream on the right. There is no other trade where the result is this obvious in a single picture, and no other trade that wastes it as badly. Most exterior cleaning websites show a man with a lance. Yours shows the difference, in pairs, with a price to start from. We build it, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

The proof

Stop halfway and photograph it.

The half-done shot is the most persuasive image in this trade and it costs nothing. Clean half the drive, stand back, take the picture. It proves the result and the effort in one frame, and no amount of copy does the same job.

Roofs and render: no high pressure anywhere near it. Scraped where needed, treated with a biocide, then left to weather back over the following weeks.

The work

Two methods, and knowing which is which is the expertise.

Pressure washing and soft washing are different trades that share a van. Explaining the difference is the single most useful thing on your website, because it is also the reason a customer should not let the cheapest quote near their render.

Pressure-washer lance blasting grime from patio slabs beside a clipped box hedge

Pressure washing: hard surfaces only

High pressure, a rotary surface cleaner, and a surface that can take it.

  • Driveways and block pavingCleaned in passes with a whirlaway rather than a lance, so there are no stripes, then re-sanded so the blocks stay locked together.
  • Patios, paths and stepsSlabs, porcelain and Indian sandstone, with the pointing checked afterwards because cleaning finds every failed joint.
  • Decking and garden wallsLower pressure, cleaned along the grain, and treated afterwards if the customer wants it to stay that colour.

Soft washing: everything that would be damaged

Low pressure and the right chemistry, left to do the work over days rather than minutes.

  • Render and painted wallsK-rend, silicone and monocouche render must never see a pressure washer — it drives water in and takes the finish off. Soft wash, treat, and let it weather back.
  • Roofs and moss removalScraped and treated rather than blasted. High pressure on a tiled roof strips the surface and pushes water under the laps, and it is where most horror stories start.
  • Conservatory roofs, fascias and soffitsCleaned by hand and by brush, including the bits people only notice once everything around them is clean.

Gutters and the rest of the house

The work that turns one visit into three, and it is almost always the customer's idea once they see the rest.

  • Gutter clearing and washingVacuumed from the ground with camera evidence, then the gutter faces washed so the front of the house matches.
  • Solar panel cleaningDeionised water and a pole, no detergent and nothing abrasive, for customers who have noticed their output drop.
  • Commercial and end-of-tenancyForecourts, communal paths and pre-sale cleans, usually with a deadline and an invoice to an agent rather than a homeowner.

Anything you do not take on comes off the site. If you do not go on roofs, nobody rings you for one.

Where you go

Water, power and parking decide the radius.

You need somewhere to put the van, a tap or a bowser and space for the reel. That is a tighter constraint than most trades have, and being honest about it on the page means the enquiries that arrive are ones you can actually service.

  • Access before anything

A terrace with no parking and no outside tap is a different job from a detached house with a drive. Saying so up front saves a wasted visit.

  • Bigger jobs travel

A full render clean or a commercial forecourt justifies a longer run than a small patio. The site can carry both radiuses without confusing anyone.

  • Neighbours book neighbours

This is the most visible trade there is. One clean drive on a street sells the next three, so the areas page is worth more here than almost anywhere.

Nearest first, then the towns you will travel to for a full day's work.

Prices from

A starting price stops the pointless calls.

This is one of the few trades where a from price genuinely works, because the jobs repeat and the variables are small. Publishing one filters out the enquiries that were never going to book, and makes the ones that do arrive much easier.

  • From, and what moves it

Size, how long it has been left, access and whether there is a tap. Say those four things beside the price and nobody feels misled at the quote.

  • Render and roofs stay on quote

Too variable and too risky to publish a number for. The page says so plainly, which reads as competence rather than evasion.

Patio or path clean£120Up to about 30m², cleaned and edges cut in. If the joints have gone, re-pointing is priced on its own.
Driveway clean and re-sand£180Block paving cleaned with a surface cleaner, weeds and moss removed, kiln-dried sand brushed back in.
Gutter clear£80Vacuumed from the ground with before-and-after camera footage. Add the fascia wash for a tidy front.

Prices shown are the example company's illustrative rates. Yours are your own, and we change them whenever you want.

Your site plan

Five pages, one per surface people search for.

Nobody searches for "exterior cleaning". They search for the thing that is annoying them: the green drive, the black roof, the streaky render, the gutter with a plant in it.

The logic of SEO

Every search here is somebody looking at something they hate.

Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Exterior cleaning has unusually pure intent: nobody researches this for months, they look out of the window and search.

The kind of searches SEO works on

  1. driveway cleaning Nailsea
  2. patio cleaning Nailsea
  3. render cleaning Nailsea

£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

  1. 1

A website that shows the difference

Three firms get compared on a phone in about two minutes. The one with real half-and-half photographs and a price to start from gets the message, and the other two never hear about it.

  2. 2

Found by the people already looking

SEO is monthly work on the local searches, your Google Business Profile and the listings that decide who appears when somebody near you types driveway cleaning near me.

  3. 3

The searches set the job size

Visibility for patio cleaning brings £120 jobs. Visibility for render cleaning brings four-figure ones. Choosing the three searches is choosing the size of van you need.

  4. 4

A site that turns a look into a photo

Pairs at the top, prices from, and a form that asks for one picture. In this trade a photograph is a quote, so the enquiry can be answered in a minute.

We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts.

Your Client Platform

One place to watch it being built, and to send the next pair.

Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives: the stage it has reached, what we are waiting on, the draft to look through, and the button that says you are happy with it.

  • Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
  • Send before-and-after pairs straight from your phone
  • Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
  • Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and mark up changes
  • Approve the website before anything goes live
  • Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
  • See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)

There is nothing technical to learn. One login to your Client Platform, and you never have to open WordPress.

The plans

The same exterior cleaning website, with or without the monthly SEO work.

The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.

An exterior cleaning website built around half-and-half pairs, a price to start from and a photo-first enquiry.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works

Your part is shorter than filling the bowser.

Choose a plan, send us the photographs already on your phone and a few facts about what you clean, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

  2. 2

    Send us your pairs

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: what you clean, your starting prices, the towns you cover, before-and-after photographs, and where enquiries should land.

  3. 3

    Ready to Build

We check we have what we need. If a service has no pair or a price needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.

  4. 4

    First draft

A working draft on a phone and a laptop: the pairs, the prices from, and the photo-first form.

  5. 5

    Approve and launch

Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions exterior cleaning firms ask us

How much does a website for an exterior cleaning company cost?
£49.99 a month. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first £49.99 payment is taken at signup. The Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 monthly payments of £49.99, or £899.82 in total. That covers the design and build, managed hosting, your domain name, SSL, security, backups, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry forms, basic Google foundations, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, and your Client Platform.
What happens at the end of the 18 months?
The website is yours. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, you can stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the relevant third-party licences, which we explain at the time.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is included in the Website and managed by PrimeStart alongside the hosting and the SSL certificate. If you already own one, we work with the domain you have.
Should I publish prices?
For driveways, patios and gutters, yes — the jobs repeat and a from price stops the calls that were never going to book. For render and roofs we would keep it on quote, because size, height, access and how far gone it is change the number too much to publish one honestly.
Can customers get a quote from a photograph?
That is exactly how we build the form. One picture, a rough size and whether there is an outside tap is usually enough for you to give a number or say it needs a look. It arrives in your inbox as one message, so you can answer between jobs.
How many before-and-after photos do I need to start?
Three good pairs is plenty for launch, and one of them should be a half-and-half. After that you send them as you finish jobs through your Client Platform and we add them as a small change under fair use, so the gallery grows without you doing anything.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment and onboarding alone do not start that period. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
SEO is optional ongoing work on your visibility for three agreed local searches, at £349.99 a month in total with the Website included: the £49.99 is not charged on top. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it also counts towards the 18-month Website term. You do not need it to start, and plenty of cleaning firms begin with the Website and take SEO up later. Nobody can promise a position on Google or a number of enquiries, and we do not.
