Web design for dog walkers and pet sitters

You are being given a key and a dog.

That is a bigger act of trust than almost any other local service, and it is done on the strength of a website, a few photographs and whatever a neighbour said. Insurance, DBS, how many dogs you walk at once and what happens if something goes wrong are not details. They are the whole decision, and most pet care websites leave every one of them unsaid. We build it properly, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

What you offer

Three different levels of trust, priced differently.

A group walk, a solo walk and staying overnight in somebody's house are wildly different propositions, and blending them into "pet services" undersells the ones that matter. Each deserves naming, pricing and explaining.

Walking

The regular work that fills the middle of every day and pays the bills.

  • Group walks
  • Solo walks
  • Puppy visits

Sitting and visits

Where the trust required steps up sharply and so does the rate.

  • Home visits
  • House sitting
  • Holiday cover

Extras

Small additions that make you the person they keep rather than one of several.

  • Vet trips
  • Medication
  • Key holding

Anything you do not offer comes off the site. If you do not take on reactive dogs or overnight sitting, nobody asks you for them.

Where you cover

A walking round is a route, not a radius.

Collections have to fit into a loop with a van, a set of keys and a fixed lunchtime window. Being precise about the streets and villages you cover means the enquiries you get slot into a round you already drive.

  • Say where the round already goes

An extra dog on a street you already collect from is nearly free. One three miles the wrong way is not, and being honest about that protects your day.

  • Say when you are full

A full round is good marketing. It also lets you build a waiting list for the autumn, when a few customers always drop away.

  • Name where you walk them

Owners genuinely want to know: which woods, which fields, whether they are off lead and how you decide. It is one of the most reassuring things you can publish.

The streets already on the round, then the ones you would take on.

Reassurance

Insurance, DBS, and what happens if something goes wrong.

The third one is the question nobody asks and everybody thinks about. A page that says plainly what you would do if a dog were injured, escaped or became ill will win you work from people who have been worrying about exactly that.

We describe your business exactly as it runs. Nothing invented, no fabricated reviews, and no qualifications or checks you do not hold.

Things we'll display if they apply to you

  • Your pet business insurance, including care, custody and control cover
  • Public liability insurance
  • Your DBS certificate
  • Canine first aid training
  • Any licence your local authority requires for the services you provide
  • How many dogs you walk at once, and how they are matched
  • Your emergency procedure, including which vet you would use
  • Key handling, and how your vehicle is set up for transporting pets

Some pet services in England require a licence from the local authority, and the rules differ across the UK nations. You tell us what licences, insurance and checks you hold, and we display precisely those.

Rates

Publish them. Owners are budgeting weekly.

A daily walk is a recurring household cost and people work it out per week and per month. Showing the rate, and what a block of five does, lets somebody decide without a message and means the enquiries you get already fit the budget.

  • Show the weekly figure too

"£16" and "£80 a week for daily walks" land completely differently, and only one of them is the actual decision being made.

  • Say what a walk includes

How long they are genuinely out, paws wiped, water topped up, and a photo sent. The small things owners repeat to friends.

  • Bank holidays and cancellations

Whether you charge extra, and what notice you need. Written kindly it prevents almost every awkward conversation.

Group walk£16One hour out, maximum four dogs, matched by size and temperament. Blocks of five weekly walks at a reduced rate.
Solo walk£24One hour, one dog. For reactive, elderly, recovering or nervous dogs who do not suit a group.
Home visit£14Thirty minutes: feeding, water, letting out and company. Cats and small pets, or dogs on a shorter day.

Rates shown are the example business's illustrative figures. Yours are your own, and we change them whenever you want.

Your site plan

Four pages, and the about page matters more than you think.

People are choosing a person, not a company. Who you are, why you do this and what your day looks like is doing as much work as the price list.

  • Send photographs from the walk straight from your phone
  • Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
  • Preview the draft on a phone before anybody else sees it

  • Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them

There is nothing technical to learn and no WordPress to open. One login, and the rest is us.

More about the Client Platform

Illustration of the Client Platform for a fictional dog walkers & pet sitters business. SEO reporting is included with Website + SEO.

SEO

One daily walker is four thousand pounds a year.

Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Pet care has extraordinary customer value: a dog walked every weekday is a recurring contract that lasts as long as the dog does.

  • £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
  • 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
  • Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
  • 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
What we don’t promise

Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not. What we commit to is the agreed work every month, tracking what happens, and changing course when the evidence says to.

  1. dog walker near me
  2. pet sitter near me
  3. cat sitting near me

Because the value per customer is so high and the searches are so local, even one or two new clients a year comfortably justifies the work. We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

The plans

The same pet care website, with or without the monthly SEO work.

The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.

A pet care website that answers insurance, group sizes and emergencies before anybody has to ask.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed local searches, where one daily client is a recurring contract for years. How SEO works

How it works

Your part takes less time than one round.

Choose a plan, tell us your services and rates, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

  2. 2

    Tell us about the round

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: your services and rates, your group sizes, the streets you cover, your insurance, DBS and any licence, and where enquiries should land.

  3. 3

    Ready to Build

We check we have what we need. If a rate or a policy needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.

  4. 4

    First draft

A working draft on a phone first: the services, the rates, the areas and the enquiry.

  5. 5

    Approve and launch

Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions pet care businesses ask us

How much does a website for a dog walking business cost?
£49.99 a month. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first £49.99 payment is taken at signup. The Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 monthly payments of £49.99, or £899.82 in total. That covers the design and build, managed hosting, your domain name, SSL, security, backups, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry forms, basic Google foundations, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, and your Client Platform.
What happens at the end of the 18 months?
The website is yours. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, you can stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the relevant third-party licences, which we explain at the time.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is included in the Website and managed by PrimeStart alongside the hosting and the SSL certificate. If you already own one, we work with the domain you have.
I am a one-person business. Will a website look overblown?
It should look like you, and that is an advantage here. Owners want one person who knows their dog, not a company where a different walker turns up each week. We write it in the first person, put your name and your face on it, and let the personal scale be the selling point.
Should I publish my rates?
Yes, and show the weekly figure alongside the per-walk one. Owners are working out a monthly household cost, and a business that publishes gets enquiries from people who have already accepted it rather than messages that end at the price.
Do I need a licence, and should the site mention it?
Some pet services in England require a local authority licence, and requirements differ across the UK nations. We are not able to advise you on whether yours does. What we will do is display whatever licence, insurance and checks you tell us you hold, which is genuinely reassuring to owners.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment and onboarding alone do not start that period. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
SEO is optional ongoing work on your visibility for three agreed local searches, at £349.99 a month in total with the Website included: the £49.99 is not charged on top. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it also counts towards the 18-month Website term. It suits pet care because one daily client recurs for years. Nobody can promise a position on Google or a number of clients, and we do not.
