Web design for scaffolding companies
Most scaffold is booked by another trade, not a homeowner.
A roofer with a re-roof starting Monday. A builder whose usual firm cannot make the date. Before anyone asks a price they ask the same three things: can you cover the week, can you design it, and who applies for the pavement licence. PrimeStart builds websites for scaffolding companies that answer all three before the phone rings, then hosts and manages the site.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

Three callers. Only one has never bought scaffold before.
Most access work comes from other trades, booking around a programme of their own, who ring the next firm if you cannot help. Homeowners arrive with completely different questions. The site gives all three their own route in the first screen.
The trade with a date already in the diary
A re-roof, a solar install or a chimney rebuild booked for Monday morning. Their crew gets paid whether the scaffold is there or not, so availability beats price every time. They want a number that gets answered and a straight account of what you cover.
- A direct trade line at the top of every page, not a general contact form
- What you can put up: independents, birdcages, temporary roofs, chimney stacks, edge protection, loading bays
- Your usual lead time in your own words, never a response time we invented for you
- How hire, alterations and striking work
Main contractors filling a site file
A builder is buying access for weeks, sometimes months, and has to put your paperwork on file before you set foot on site. They read for capability and compliance, and would rather find it in one place than ask over three emails.
- CISRS cards, SSIP status and insurance shown once, where a site manager will look
- Design handled honestly: what your compliance sheets cover, what goes to a designer
- Inspection and tagging described the way you run it
- An upload for drawings, scopes and programmes
Homeowners sorting access for a roofer
Their roofer has told them to arrange their own scaffold. They have never bought it, they are picturing the flowerbeds, and they want to know how long a tower of steel stands outside the bedroom window.
- A price request that asks for photographs and what the work is
- Straight answers on hire periods and what happens if the roofer overruns
- Who applies to the council when a scaffold stands on the pavement
- What happens to the lawn, the drive, the gate and the neighbour's side
All three routes land on the same phone and inbox. What changes is the first question, so a roofer never fills in a homeowner's form.
Be the scaffolder saved in the roofer's phone.
Scaffolding is repeat business dressed up as a one-off purchase. A homeowner buys it once in twenty years. A roofing firm needs it forty times a year, and a solar installer on every job they sell.
That gives a scaffolding website a job most trade sites never have: it has to convince another professional. A roofer is not after a friendly introduction. He is checking whether you can cover the week, whether your paperwork passes a site file, and whether you strike when he rings. Your pages answer those three in that order.
It works the other way round too. When a homeowner is told to arrange their own access, the roofer hands over a name. If your website makes that recommendation look sound, they ring you instead of searching.

The page a site manager opens before they book you.
Access is bought on competence before price. A main contractor has their own client to satisfy, and a homeowner is about to have a steel structure bolted to the front of the house. Your standards belong on the home page and beside the price request.
We display exactly what you tell us you hold and nothing beyond it. If you are not an NASC member the site never hints that you are.

- CISRS cards held by your scaffolders and supervisors
- NASC membership, if you are a member
- CHAS, SMAS Worksafe, SafeContractor or another SSIP-recognised accreditation
- Public and employer's liability insurance, with the cover level if you want it shown
- TG20 compliance sheets, and design drawings where a scaffold falls outside them
- Your inspection routine and scaffold tagging, written the way you run it
An enquiry that tells you whether you can make the date.
Most scaffolding enquiries arrive as four words and a mobile number, so the first call goes on working out what the job even is. The form asks what you would ask anyway: where it is, what it is for, how high, when they need it and for how long.
- 1It arrives with enough to price
Address, what the scaffold is for, height, start date and hire period land together. A standard domestic lift can be priced from that and two photographs without leaving the yard.
- 2You answer with a date, not a maybe
Trade callers want the week before the figure, so the date sits at the top of the message. Say yes, offer a different one, or pass on it inside a minute.
- 3Designed work goes down the other route
Temporary roofs, pavement gantries, loading bays and anything outside a standard compliance sheet get the upload instead, marked as trade.
Prefer the phone? Your number sits at the top of every page. The form is for the homeowner comparing three names at ten at night, and the contractor sending a scope from site.
The radius your wagon actually covers.
A scaffolding firm's map is drawn by the yard, the load and the traffic, not by ambition. The site names the towns and postcodes you genuinely work in, so nobody two counties away books your afternoon.
- Pavement and highway licences, explained once
When a scaffold stands on a public footpath or a road, somebody applies to the council. The page says whether that is you or the customer, how much notice it needs and what the licence covers.
- A page for the towns worth having
If one town keeps sending you work, its page is written with real streets, real housing stock and the jobs you have done there.
- Travel and minimum hires stated, not hinted
If the outer towns carry a travel charge or a minimum hire, say so. Clear beats vague.
- Maidstone
- Medway
- Sittingbourne
- Tonbridge
- Ashford
- Sevenoaks
- Faversham
Further into Kent and south-east London for commercial contracts, by arrangement.
Five pages: one for the site file, one for the street.
Trade and domestic want different things, so each gets a page of its own and the safety information sits where both of them look. Built from your real capability, your towns and your photographs.

Website + SEO
When you want more of one kind of work, we go after it.
Website + SEO is optional ongoing work on how easily people find you, built around three agreed searches. For a scaffolding firm the useful question is not how many search, but who: someone buying once, or a contractor who could book you every month.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
Rankings, a number of leads or a number of jobs. Nobody honest can. What SEO does is create more opportunities for suitable local customers to discover your business, and for enquiries and jobs to follow over time.
- 01“scaffolding companies Maidstone”
Usually trade. A roofer or builder whose regular firm cannot cover the date, looking for a second name worth keeping. The most valuable search here, and the one most scaffolding sites answer badly.
- 02“scaffold hire Maidstone”
Usually a homeowner just told to arrange their own access. Buying it for the first time, and after a figure, a hire period and reassurance about the garden.
- 03“temporary roof scaffolding Maidstone”
A planned, longer job: a re-roof through the winter, a listed building, water getting into a commercial unit. Fewer searches, longer hires.
Examples only. The three searches are agreed around the work you want more of, commercial or domestic.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
The price
One monthly figure, and no design invoice before the first job.
Most scaffolding firms start on the Website: both routes working, the standards on the page, the technical side handled. Move to Website + SEO when you want monthly work on how your towns find you.
A scaffolding website with a trade route, a domestic route and a price request that asks for the date.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.
Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on how easily local trade and homeowners find it. How SEO works
