The search says "Fitzrovia". It can still be won by naming Charlotte Street.

"Restaurant Fitzrovia", "agency Charlotte Street", "post-production Goodge Street": most searches for the district don't specify a borough, so results mix Camden and Westminster together. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these, so more of that comparison lands on your street specifically.

  1. 01
    “restaurant Fitzrovia

Made by someone comparing restaurants across the whole district name without knowing it spans two boroughs, so a Camden-side business needs its own street named to be found as specifically theirs.

  2. 02
    “agency Charlotte Street

A more specific search from someone who already knows Charlotte Street's reputation and is choosing between businesses actually on it, rather than discovering the district.

  3. 03
    “post-production Goodge Street

Searched by someone in the media trade who works nearby and wants a supplier close enough to walk to, on a street rather than a general district.

Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people actually type near Fitzrovia. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

Fitzrovia

Split down the middle by a borough boundary, with the Camden side running Charlotte Street to Whitfield Street.

Fitzrovia's core sits in the south-western part of Camden's St Pancras district, with the remainder across the boundary in Westminster's St Marylebone. The Camden side is the eastern strip: Charlotte Street, Fitzroy Square, Goodge Street and Whitfield Street, inside the Charlotte Street Conservation Area first designated in 1973. Charlotte Street was for many years the home of the British advertising industry and is now known for its many and diverse restaurants, alongside the offices, agencies and post-production houses that remain nearby.

That split matters commercially, not just administratively. A search for "Fitzrovia" doesn't distinguish Camden's Charlotte Street from Westminster's streets towards Great Portland Street, so a business relying on the district name alone is competing for attention with a borough it isn't in. What separates a Camden-side business from that noise is naming its own street: Charlotte Street, Fitzroy Square, Goodge Street or Whitfield Street, rather than "Fitzrovia" on its own.

The Fitzrovia Partnership has run as a formal business improvement district since August 2012, covering both sides of the boundary, which is one more reason the area's shared branding doesn't tell a customer which borough — or which street — they're actually looking at. A website that is precise about its own address does that work instead.

Eighteen months, then the website is yours.

The Fitzrovia Partnership's business improvement district runs across both boroughs and won't disappear at the end of a monthly rolling contract. Complete the minimum term here and the website is a business asset that belongs to you outright, whether you stay with PrimeStart or not.

Fitzrovia industries

The trade decides the shape of the site. The street name decides which borough a search actually finds you in.

A restaurant on Charlotte Street and a production company off Fitzroy Square need different websites, but both need their street named to be read as Camden-side rather than Westminster's.

Questions from Fitzrovia businesses

Is Fitzrovia in Camden or Westminster?
Both. The eastern part — Charlotte Street, Fitzroy Square, Goodge Street and Whitfield Street — is in the London Borough of Camden. The western part towards Great Portland Street is in the City of Westminster. This page is written for the Camden side.
Do you work with businesses on the Camden side of Fitzrovia?
Yes, on Charlotte Street, Fitzroy Square, Goodge Street, Whitfield Street and the surrounding streets. Everything is designed, built and managed remotely, so there is no office to visit.
Is Charlotte Street still the centre of the advertising industry?
It was for many years, but that's history rather than a claim about today. Charlotte Street is now known mainly for its restaurants, alongside the offices, agencies and post-production companies still nearby.
We already have a website we like. Can you just do the SEO?
No. SEO is not sold on its own any more — it is only available as part of Website + SEO, £349.99 a month in total, and that means building you a new PrimeStart website rather than adding search work onto the one you have now. A business on Charlotte Street or elsewhere on the Camden side would be starting from the same place as everyone else here: a new site built around the trade, with the SEO work running from day one rather than retrofitted onto what already exists. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
What does a Fitzrovia business website cost?
Website is £49.99 a month with a £0 upfront design fee, and it costs the same on Charlotte Street as it does anywhere else. The first £49.99 is taken at signup, and there is an 18-month minimum term, £899.82 in total. Once that term is complete, the website is yours.
How does ongoing SEO work?
Website + SEO is £349.99 a month total, with the website included rather than charged on top. Each month we work on three agreed local searches, for example "restaurant Charlotte Street" or "agency Fitzrovia", alongside your Google Business Profile and the website itself. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
