Web design for body shops and accident repair centres

Nobody planned their visit to you this morning.

Every customer arrives after something has gone wrong, usually shaken, usually unsure whether to claim, and usually convinced their insurer has already decided where the car is going. Two paragraphs on your website can fix all three: you can choose your own repairer, here is what a repair looks like, and you can send us photographs tonight. We build it around that, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

The proof

Damage on the left, finished panel on the right.

This is the most persuasive thing a body shop owns and the most commonly wasted. A customer cannot judge your jig or your paint booth. They can judge whether the repaired wing looks like it was never touched, and one slider does that better than a page of accreditation logos.

Repaired and refinishedRepaired and refinished

Front-end damage: panel work, primer, colour matched to the original paint code and blended into the adjacent panels.

  • Photograph the same angle, twice

Before it goes in the booth and after it comes out, same position, same light. Two pictures from the same spot are worth twenty of a clean workshop.

  • Show the colour match close up

The thing customers worry about most is whether the new panel will look slightly different in daylight. A close shot across the join answers it.

  • Include the small jobs

Scuffs and alloys are what people search for and what they pay for privately. A gallery of write-off rebuilds does not reach them.

Photographs here are illustrative and get replaced by your own pairs. You send them through your Client Platform as jobs leave.

What happens

From the phone call to the car back on the drive.

Customers have no idea how long a repair takes or what happens in between, and the not knowing is what makes them ring three times a week. Setting it out removes their anxiety and takes the calls off your office.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Estimate

From photographs or an in-person look, with an honest note that hidden damage is sometimes found once panels come off.

  2. 2

    Booking in and courtesy car

How long the wait is for a slot, and whether a courtesy car is available. The two questions asked on every single call.

  3. 3

    Strip and assess

Where the estimate becomes a firm figure. Explaining that this is normal, rather than a surprise, prevents the conversation everybody dreads.

  4. 4

    Repair, paint and bake

Panel work, primer, colour matching to the paint code, and the blending into adjacent panels that makes a repair invisible.

  5. 5

    Quality check and handover

Refit, polish, wash and a final inspection, with whatever guarantee you give on the paintwork stated plainly.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

The estimate

Four photographs beat a phone call every time.

Describing damage over the phone is hopeless for both of you. A form that asks for pictures gets you a real look at the job, gets them a figure without taking a morning off, and quietly wins the work from the shop that made them drive over.

  1. 1
    Wide, then close

One picture showing the whole panel and where it sits on the car, then close ups of the damage. The form says exactly that, because most people send one blurry photo otherwise.

  2. 2
Let them say they have not decided about insurance

"Not sure yet" has to be an option. Plenty of drivers are weighing a claim against paying privately, and the shop that helps them think it through is the one they use.

  3. 3
    Ask if it is driveable

It decides whether this is a booking or a recovery, and it is the one thing that changes what you say next.

  4. 4
One message, answered from the office

Vehicle, damage, photographs and a contact number, all in one place, so an estimate goes back the same day.

If you would rather people rang, your number stays the biggest thing on every page. The form is for the ones who never will.

Credentials

The sentence most drivers have never been told.

You are entitled to choose who repairs your car. Insurers steer people towards their own approved networks and most drivers assume they have no say. Saying it clearly, and explaining how to ask for you by name, is the single highest-value paragraph a body shop can publish.

We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no implied manufacturer approvals.

Things we'll display if you hold them

  • Industry standards and certifications your shop works to
  • Manufacturer approvals for the marques you are approved on
  • Technician qualifications in panel, paint and MET
  • Your insurance approvals and the insurers you work with
  • The guarantee you give on repairs and paintwork
  • Public liability and motor trade insurance
  • Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Trustpilot, Facebook

Approval schemes and standards are illustrative here. You tell us exactly what you hold during onboarding, and that is exactly what appears. We word the choice-of-repairer point factually and suggest customers check their own policy.

Where the work comes from

Recovery drivers and garages send more work than any advert.

Most private accident repair arrives on a recommendation made in the ten minutes after a bump: a recovery driver, a local garage, a fleet manager, sometimes the other party's insurer. What the driver does next is look you up, and a website with real repairs on it turns a name mentioned in passing into a booking. Without one, they carry on down the list.

The geography matters more than in most trades, because a car has to physically get to you and often has to be left for several days. Naming the towns you cover, and being clear about recovery and courtesy cars, is what makes somebody twenty minutes away decide you are worth the inconvenience.

Your site plan

Five pages, split between the claim and the cash job.

An insurance repair and a kerbed alloy are the same skill and completely different customers. Separating them means the person paying privately does not assume you only do big claims.

The logic of SEO

Insurer networks bring volume. Search brings margin.

Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Work that arrives through an insurer's network comes at the insurer's rates. Work that arrives through Google does not.

The kind of searches SEO works on

  1. car body repair Coventry
  2. bumper repair Coventry
  3. alloy wheel refurbishment Coventry

£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

  1. 1

A website that shows finished panels

Somebody choosing where to spend eight hundred pounds of their own money looks at repairs, not at a workshop. Before-and-afters do the whole job.

  2. 2

Found by the people already looking

SEO is monthly work on the local searches, your Google Business Profile and the listings that decide who appears when somebody near you types bumper repair near me.

  3. 3

    Private work pays better

Scuffs, alloys and small dents are searched constantly, paid for directly and priced by you rather than by a schedule. That is the work worth being visible for.

  4. 4

A site that takes an estimate overnight

Photographs arriving at eleven at night, answered at eight the next morning. The shop that does this wins jobs from the one that asks people to drive over.

We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts.

Your Client Platform

One place to watch it being built, and to send the next repair.

Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives: the stage it has reached, what we are waiting on, the draft to look through, and the button that says you are happy with it.

  • Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
  • Send before-and-after pairs straight from your phone
  • Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
  • Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and mark up changes
  • Approve the website before anything goes live
  • Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
  • See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)

There is nothing technical to learn. One login to your Client Platform, and you never have to open WordPress.

The plans

The same body shop website, with or without the monthly SEO work.

The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.

A body shop website built around before-and-afters, photo estimates and the right to choose your own repairer.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed local searches, aimed at the private work rather than the network work. How SEO works

Questions body shops ask us

How much does a website for a body shop cost?
£49.99 a month. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first £49.99 payment is taken at signup. The Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 monthly payments of £49.99, or £899.82 in total. That covers the design and build, managed hosting, your domain name, SSL, security, backups, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry forms, basic Google foundations, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, and your Client Platform.
What happens at the end of the 18 months?
The website is yours. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, you can stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the relevant third-party licences, which we explain at the time.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is included in the Website and managed by PrimeStart alongside the hosting and the SSL certificate. If you already own one, we work with the domain you have.
Can we really tell people they can choose their own repairer?
We state it factually and carefully: that policies commonly allow a driver to nominate a repairer, that using a non-approved shop can affect things like courtesy car provision, and that they should check their own policy or ask their insurer. Put that way it is accurate, genuinely useful, and it wins work without overstating anything.
Should we publish prices for scuff and alloy repairs?
For the small standard jobs, a from price works well - it is what people search for and it stops the calls that were never going to book. Accident repair is better left to an estimate, because the same dent on two cars is not the same job.
Can we show the insurers we work with?
We list the insurers and approval schemes you tell us you actually work with, and we do not imply approval you do not hold. Manufacturer approvals in particular are tightly controlled, so we show only the marques you are genuinely approved on.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment and onboarding alone do not start that period. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
SEO is optional ongoing work on your visibility for three agreed local searches, at £349.99 a month in total with the Website included: the £49.99 is not charged on top. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it also counts towards the 18-month Website term. It suits body shops because the private work it brings is priced by you rather than by an insurer. Nobody can promise a position on Google or a number of enquiries, and we do not.
