Web design for garages and mechanics
The dealer said £680. You would have done it for £340.
Independent garages lose work every day to main dealers who are more expensive and less careful, because the dealer's website makes booking easy and yours makes people ring during working hours. The fix is not clever marketing. It is a site that says what you charge, proves you can service a car without voiding its warranty, and lets somebody book an MOT at nine at night. We build it, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

The work
Three reasons a car comes in, and only one is planned.
An MOT is a date in the diary. A service is a decision. A breakdown is an emergency. They arrive through completely different searches and they need completely different pages, which is why one "services" list does so badly.

MOT
The most searched thing you do, the easiest to book, and the best route to everything else.
- MOT testing
- Free retest window
- MOT and service together

Servicing
Where the relationship is won, and where the dealer myth costs you most.
- Interim, full and major
- Manufacturer schedules
- Warranty, kept intact

Repairs & diagnostics
The unplanned work, usually urgent, usually preceded by a warning light and a worried search.
- Brakes, clutches and suspension
- Diagnostics
- Air conditioning and cambelts
Anything you do not take on comes off the site. If you do not do bodywork or hybrids, nobody rings you for them.
The first five seconds
Five questions, answered before anybody scrolls.
Somebody with a warning light on the dash and three garage websites open is not reading your history. They want five things, fast, and the garage that answers them gets the car.
- 01
Can you take it this week?
Availability, honestly Even "next available Thursday" beats saying nothing
- 02
What will it cost?
Prices from MOT, service levels and the common repairs
- 03
Will it affect my warranty?
No, and here is why Servicing to schedule with the right parts keeps it intact
- 04
Do you know my car?
The makes you work on Named, including anything you specialise in
- 05
Where are you?
Address and parking With whether you can collect, or lend a car
- 06
How do I book?
One tap A request form that works at nine at night
Booking
Half your bookings want to happen after you have gone home.
The phone is fine between eight and six. The person whose MOT runs out on Friday remembers at half past nine on a Tuesday evening, and if the only option is ringing tomorrow they book somewhere that let them do it there and then.
- A request, not a live diary
You keep control of the schedule. The customer gets the feeling of having booked, and you confirm it when you have looked at the ramp.
- Ask for the registration
One field that tells you the model, the engine and often the service history, so you can price properly before they arrive.
- Show what a slot costs
Prices beside the times remove the reason people ring, which is that they are afraid of what it will come to.
Credentials
The dealer myth is costing you more than any competitor.
Most drivers genuinely believe that a car under warranty has to be serviced by the main dealer. It does not, provided the work follows the maker's schedule and uses parts of the right standard, and saying so plainly on your website is worth more than any advertising you could buy.
We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no claims about how long you have been trading.
Things we'll display if you hold them
- Your MOT testing station approval
- Trade body or garage scheme membership
- Technician qualifications, and any manufacturer training
- Public liability and motor trade insurance
- The guarantee you give on parts and labour
- Diagnostic equipment and the makes it covers
- Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Trustpilot, Facebook
Scheme names here are illustrative. You tell us what you hold during onboarding, and that is exactly what appears. We word the warranty point factually rather than as a legal guarantee.
Where your customers come from
A garage's catchment is smaller than you think.
People will drive twenty minutes for a garage they trust and about four for one they do not know yet. That means the first job is being findable in the towns immediately around you, not across the county.
- Name the villages
"South Buckinghamshire" is not what anybody types. Flackwell Heath and Cookham are, and those are searches you can actually win.
- Say if you collect
Collection and delivery, or a courtesy car, widens the catchment more than any amount of marketing. If you offer it, it belongs near the top.
- Being walkable matters
People choose a garage they can drop a car at and walk home from. Saying where you are and what is nearby is genuinely useful information.
- Marlow
- High Wycombe
- Bourne End
- Ripley
- Flackwell Heath
- Lane End
- Cookham
- Hazlemere
- Stokenchurch
- Wooburn Green
- Little Marlow
- Loudwater
Towns and villages listed the way customers say them, not as a county.
Your site plan
Five pages, led by MOT because that is what people type.
MOT is the biggest search a garage has and the cheapest way to meet a customer you then keep for ten years. It deserves its own page rather than a line on a list.

Your Client Platform
Change your MOT price the day it changes.
Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives while it is being built, and where you ask for changes once it is live.
- Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
- Send photographs straight from your phone
- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft on a phone before anybody else sees it
- Approve the website before it goes live
- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
There is nothing technical to learn and no WordPress to open. One login, and the rest is us.

SEO
Three searches, and one of them repeats every twelve months.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. A garage has an unusual advantage: the main search comes round again every year for every customer in the country.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not. What we commit to is the agreed work every month, tracking what happens, and changing course when the evidence says to.
- 01“MOT near me Marlow”
Annual, universal and non-negotiable. Every car needs one, everyone leaves it late, and the garage that is visible and bookable that week gets it. The cheapest way to acquire a customer you keep for years.
- 02“car service Marlow”
Higher value and more considered. This is where the warranty question decides it, and where an independent takes work straight off a main dealer.
- 03“brake repair Marlow”
Urgent, specific and price-sensitive. People search for the exact fault, so a page naming the repair with a from price catches enquiries a generic services page never would.
We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
The plans
The same garage website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A garage website built around MOT, honest prices and a booking request that works at nine at night.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

Your part takes less time than an interim service.
Choose a plan, send us your prices and what you work on, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.

Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us your prices
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: your MOT and service prices, the work you take on, your approvals and guarantee, your hours, and where bookings should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a price or a service needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a phone and a laptop: the MOT page, the prices and the booking request.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
