South London

Big, spread out, and fiercely local.

South of the river is the largest part of the city and the least joined up. Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth sit close to the centre; Lewisham, Greenwich, Bromley, Croydon, Merton and Sutton run out towards Kent and Surrey. There is no single high street and no single centre, which is exactly why a customer in Balham searches for Balham. Businesses that name their neighbourhoods get found by the people who live in them.

We build websites that do that properly. Your services, the neighbourhoods and postcodes you cover, the photographs of your work and the fastest route to reaching you, arranged so someone on a phone at a bus stop can decide quickly. Then we host it, keep it secure, keep it updated and make reasonable small changes as your business shifts, all inside one monthly price.

The work is there. Victorian terraces in Brixton and Peckham, the mansion flats of Clapham and Battersea, interwar semis in Bromley and Sutton and the new developments along the river all need plumbers, roofers, decorators and gardeners, and their owners all start with a search. A clear, professional website that states where you work is what makes yours the number they ring.

Areas we cover across South London

  • Southwark
  • Lewisham
  • Greenwich
  • Wandsworth
  • Croydon
  • Bromley
  • Merton
  • Sutton
  • Brixton
  • Clapham
  • Peckham
  • Balham
  • Tooting
  • Streatham
  • Dulwich

From the river down to the Surrey and Kent borders. If your round covers it, the site says it.

"Gardener Dulwich" is a search someone is typing right now.

South London searches carry the place name because the area is so large. A gardener in Dulwich, a physio in Clapham, a decorator in Bromley: each one is a customer deciding between three businesses on a phone. SEO is ongoing monthly work on three agreed searches like these, so more of them see yours.

An illustration of the kind of local results SEO works towards. The businesses, ratings and positions shown are examples, not a ranking or a result for any particular business.

  1. 01
    “gardener Dulwich

Long gardens, tall hedges and owners who want a regular round. Seasonal at first, then repeat business once the photographs show the standard.

  2. 02
    “physiotherapist Clapham

Runners from the Common, desk workers and new parents. Chosen on a calm first-appointment page and how simple it is to book.

  3. 03
    “painter and decorator Bromley

Interwar semis and regular redecorating. Customers look for photographs of finished rooms, then for whether you cover BR postcodes.

Examples only. Your three searches are agreed around the work you want more of and what people in your part of South London actually type. No position is promised, because nobody honest can promise one.

Eighteen months, then the website is yours.

You are paying for a website that ends up belonging to you, not for the right to keep using one. Complete the minimum term and it is yours to keep or to take elsewhere.

  1. Month 1 We design and build it

Your first £49.99 is taken at signup. We build the website around your business and you approve it before anything is published.

  2. Months 1 to 18 We host, manage and support it

Hosting, security, backups, updates and reasonable small changes, while you make the monthly payments. 18 payments of £49.99, £899.82 in total.

  3. After month 18 The website is yours

Complete the minimum term and the payments due under it, and the website belongs to you. It was built for your business, and it stays with your business.

  4. Your choice Stay, or move it

Stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website to hosting of your own.

Moving the website elsewhere is subject to the third-party licences any website relies on, such as WordPress, plugins, fonts and stock photography. The full wording lives in the Website Subscription Terms.

South London industries

Built around the trade first, then around the neighbourhood.

A roofer in Streatham and a café in Peckham sell in completely different ways. Each site starts from how its customers choose, then adds the areas it covers.

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions

Questions from South London businesses

Straight answers on price, the term, ownership and what SEO does and does not promise.

View all FAQs · All locations

Do you cover all of South London, including the outer boroughs?
Yes. Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich and Wandsworth near the centre, and Croydon, Bromley, Merton and Sutton further out, along with the rest of London and the UK. The website is designed, built and managed remotely, so where you are makes no difference to the service or the price.
How much is a South London business website with PrimeStart?
£49.99 a month on Website, with a £0 upfront website design fee. Your first £49.99 is taken at signup. The Website has an 18-month minimum term, which comes to £899.82 in total, and once that term and its payments are complete the website is yours.
I'm a sole trader working from a van. Do I really need a website?
If customers find you by searching, yes. A directory listing or a social page is somebody else's site with your details on it. Your own site states your services and the neighbourhoods you cover, shows your work and gives people a number to call, and it is the page Google sends people to when they search for what you do.
Is there a page for London as a whole?
There is. Our London web design page covers Website for the whole city, and our London SEO page explains the ongoing search work. This page is for businesses whose customers are mainly south of the river. The plans, prices and terms are the same wherever you are.
What does SEO involve for a South London business?
Website + SEO is £349.99 a month total, with the website included. Every month we work on three agreed local searches, such as "roofer Streatham", along with your Google Business Profile and the site itself, and send a clear report on what was done. It is designed to give more of the right local customers the chance to find you. We never promise rankings.
What are my options after month 18?
The website belongs to you. Stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month rolling, with no new minimum term, or move the website to hosting of your own. Moving it is subject to the third-party licences any website depends on, including WordPress, plugins, fonts and stock photography.
