Web design across Bromley

London's largest borough is a suburban north and a rural south. Web design in Bromley has to say which one you trade in.

PrimeStart designs, hosts and looks after websites for tradespeople and small businesses across Bromley — from the 700-business town centre and Beckenham, Penge and Orpington, out to the Green Belt villages toward Biggin Hill. Built to name your actual patch of the borough, from £79.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

A 700-business town centre already runs its own five-year promotion programme. Web design in Bromley has to help you stand out inside that.

Your Bromley BID began its third five-year term on 1 April 2026, investing around £3 million in the town centre through to March 2031. A site that looks as considered as that programme is what keeps an individual business from being lost inside it.

01

They check a Bromley website looks properly established

Inside a well-promoted town centre, a proper website with your name, your area and your work says you're a serious business, not a name lost among a BID's collective marketing.

02

They want to know which part of Bromley you're in

Bromley town centre and the Green Belt villages toward Biggin Hill are worlds apart on the same borough. Saying plainly where you work saves everyone a wasted enquiry.

03

They want to see the finished work

Photographs of jobs finished on streets they recognise — Bromley High Street, Beckenham, a Green Belt lane near Orpington — do more to win trust than a general claim to cover the whole borough.

04

They want to enquire without a phone call

An enquiry form that reaches your phone catches the evening decision — someone comparing a few businesses after work, wherever in the borough they're based.

Bromley

Five old towns merged into one borough, and it still behaves like more than one place.

The modern London Borough of Bromley was created on 1 April 1965 under the London Government Act 1963, when the Municipal Boroughs of Bromley and Beckenham combined with Orpington, Penge and the Chislehurst area and were carried across from Kent into Greater London. It has behaved like several places stitched together ever since.

The modern borough is created

On 1 April 1965 the London Government Act 1963 merges the old Municipal Boroughs of Bromley and Beckenham with Orpington, Penge and Chislehurst, transferring the whole area from Kent into the newly formed Greater London.

Today

The largest of the 32 boroughs

At 57.97 square miles, Bromley is London's largest and southeasternmost borough, with a 2024 population estimate of 335,319, growing at around 1.6 per cent a year.

Now

Roughly a third still farmland

About 30 per cent of the borough remains farmland, the highest proportion of any London borough, held largely within the Metropolitan Green Belt across the south.

Ongoing

No Underground station in the borough

Bromley has no London Underground station anywhere within it; National Rail, London Overground, Tramlink and buses carry local transport instead.

2026–2031

Your Bromley BID's third term

The town centre's Business Improvement District begins a new five-year term on 1 April 2026, investing an estimated £3 million in Bromley town centre through to March 2031.

What that means for you, trading here today

One borough, two different economies.

The urban north — Bromley town centre, Beckenham, Penge, Orpington — is dense and commercial. The south is largely rural and Green Belt-protected. A site has to say which one it belongs to.

A town centre already promoting itself hard.

Your Bromley BID's current five-year, roughly £3 million programme means a business in the town centre is competing for attention inside professional, well-funded collective marketing.

No single "Bromley" customer.

A town-centre retailer, a Beckenham tradesperson and a Green Belt smallholding business all say "Bromley" on paper, and none of them are found the same way online.

Getting found locally

Searches here carry the town centre name — Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington, Penge — because the borough is really several markets.

"Accountant Bromley", "estate agent Orpington", "gardener Beckenham" — the same borough behaves like several different towns depending which centre someone is near. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of putting your business in front of those searches.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, "accountant bromley", "estate agent orpington" and "gardener beckenham" — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so you appear on the map for the part of Bromley you actually cover, with your hours, photos and a way to call you.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask happy customers for a Google review after the job, in a borough where the town centre already runs its own five-year promotion programme.
  • A page per town centre you serve. Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington, Penge — each written properly, not one page claiming the whole borough at once.
  • A monthly report you can read. How each area you've targeted moved that month, set out in your Client Platform.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found locally — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

An accountant near Bromley town centre and a gardener working the Green Belt need very different websites.

Bromley's north-south split means two businesses in the same borough can have almost nothing in common — different customers, different jobs, different ways of winning work. A template can't tell the difference. We can.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in. Built to hold its own next to a town centre that already runs its own five-year promotion programme.

“The Bromley town centre accountant needs a site built for footfall and comparison. The Green Belt gardener needs a service area stated honestly. Same borough, completely different website.”

Pages for the parts of Bromley you serve

Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington, Penge, or a named village further south — each written for how people there search, not one page for the whole borough.

  • 2

    Your services, structured for search

Each service on its own page, described the way people across Bromley look for it.

  • 3

Your reviews, where people look for them

Genuine Google reviews shown on the site, because in a town centre this well promoted, reviews are what separate one business from the BID's collective marketing.

  • 4

Area, the job, photos and timing — so you can rule out the far end of the borough before you pick up the phone.

Request a call
Which parts of Bromley do you cover?
All of it: Bromley town centre, Beckenham, Penge, Orpington, Chislehurst, Hayes and West Wickham, and the villages further south toward Biggin Hill, including Anerley and Aperfield. Everything is designed, built and managed remotely, so there is no office to visit.
I work in Bromley town centre and Orpington. Do I need a page for each?
If the work differs between them, yes. People search by the place they live in, so a page that names one town centre's streets and another that names the second does more than one page listing both. Extra area pages can be ordered through your Client Platform when you need them.
Bromley town centre already has a Business Improvement District. Do I still need my own website?
Yes, and arguably more so. Your Bromley BID promotes the town centre as a whole, not your individual business inside it. A site that looks as considered as that promotion is what keeps you from being lost inside it.
How much does a website cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £79.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £815.90 paid once. Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £2,192.90 paid upfront. After the first 12 months, the service continues automatically at £49.99 a month with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
We're out near Biggin Hill, not in a town centre at all. Do you still cover us?
Yes. Biggin Hill and the villages around it, including Aperfield, are still in the London Borough of Bromley, and we build the site around a rural or village trading address honestly rather than pretending it's a town-centre one.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
