Web design for podiatrists and chiropodists
Feet are the thing people put off longest.
An ingrowing toenail that has been getting worse for four months, or nails somebody can no longer reach to cut, or a verruca they are embarrassed about. By the time anyone searches for a podiatrist they have usually tried to sort it themselves and would quite like not to explain it on the phone. A site with the treatments named, the prices shown and an appointment requestable in silence does very well. We build it that way, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

Treatments
Name the problem, because that is what people type.
Almost nobody searches for podiatry. They search for the thing that is bothering them, often having already looked at photographs online and worried themselves considerably. A page per problem finds people that a services list never will.
The appointments that make up most of a clinic's diary, and the ones people are least likely to think of as healthcare.
Nail cutting and thickened nails
For people who cannot reach, cannot see well enough, or whose nails have become too thick to manage. Extremely common and rarely written about with any dignity.
Corns and callus
What causes them, what a treatment involves, and why they return if the cause is not addressed.
Cracked heels and hard skin
Routine, satisfying to treat and frequently searched for, particularly in summer.
The urgent, uncomfortable searches, usually made by somebody who has left it too long.
Ingrowing toenails
One of the highest-intent searches in the profession. What conservative treatment involves, and when a nail surgery under local anaesthetic is the answer.
Verrucae
Written matter-of-factly, because embarrassment is the main reason people delay. What the options are and how long treatment usually takes.
Fungal nail infections
Common, slow to resolve, and full of misleading claims elsewhere. Honest wording about timescales does you nothing but good.
The higher-value work, and the reason many patients are referred to you.
Biomechanical assessment
Gait and foot function assessed, with orthoses supplied where appropriate. Explained properly, this is the work that distinguishes a podiatrist from a foot care service.
Diabetic foot assessment
Described factually, as an assessment carried out alongside a patient's wider care rather than as a treatment for diabetes.
Nail surgery
Under local anaesthetic, what it involves, healing time and follow-up. Patients want to know exactly what they are agreeing to.
Anything you do not offer comes off the site. If you do not carry out nail surgery or supply orthoses, nobody books you for them.
Careful wording
Assessment and care, described without claims.
Podiatry sits close enough to medicine that the same care is needed as in any clinical field. Describing what you do, rather than what it will achieve, keeps the site the right side of advertising standards and reads as more competent.
- Describe the treatment, not the outcome
What an appointment involves, how long it takes, how many might be needed. Not a promise that a condition will be resolved.
- Be honest about timescales
Fungal nail infections and verrucae are slow, and pretending otherwise creates disappointed patients. Saying so plainly makes you the credible clinic.
- Diabetes and long-term conditions
Described as assessment and care carried out alongside the patient's medical team, never as treatment of the underlying condition.
- Refer where appropriate
Saying that you will refer to a GP or a specialist where something needs it is both good practice and reassuring.
- No before-and-after imagery without consent
Clinical photographs need documented patient consent, and in this field they need using sparingly and tastefully or not at all.
We write your treatments factually from what you supply, and you approve every word before publication. Protected titles are used exactly as your registration permits.

Prices
Publish the prices, including the home visit.
A large share of podiatry patients are older, on a fixed income and quietly anxious about cost. Publishing the fees, and being clear what a home visit adds, is both kind and commercially sensible: it stops people ringing round and it stops them going without.
- Say what a first appointment includes
It usually takes longer and includes an assessment. Explaining that prevents somebody feeling they were charged more for the same thing.
- Home visits deserve prominence
For a large part of your potential patient list, a home visit is the only realistic option. It should not be a line on a contact page.
- Be clear about courses of treatment
Where something needs several appointments, say so up front with an honest range. It is the single most common source of disappointment in this field.
Prices shown are the example clinic's illustrative rates. Yours are your own, and we change them whenever you want.
Registration
Podiatrist and chiropodist are both protected titles.
Only registered professionals may use them, and there are foot care services operating alongside you that legally cannot. Displaying your registration is the clearest way of showing a patient the difference, and many of them do not know there is one.
We display exactly what you and your clinicians hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed credentials, no implied specialisms, no invented experience.
Things we'll display if they apply to you
- Each clinician's statutory registration and registration number
- Professional body membership
- Additional qualifications, including prescribing or surgical training where held
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Whether you accept self-referral, and whether you take referrals from GPs
- Home visit coverage and the areas included
- Clinic accessibility, parking and ground-floor access
- Reviews wherever they already live, handled within your professional standards
Titles such as podiatrist and chiropodist are protected in law and their use is governed by the statutory regulator. You tell us exactly what each clinician is registered and qualified to do, and we present precisely that.
Where patients come from
Routine care is a standing appointment, not a one-off.
The economics of podiatry are unusually kind: a patient who comes for routine nail and skin care every eight or ten weeks stays for years, often for the rest of their life. That means a small number of new patients found locally each month compounds into a very stable practice, and it makes the unglamorous routine-care page the most valuable one on the site.
It also means the home visit round is worth naming village by village. A patient who cannot easily travel is exactly the patient who most needs you and is least likely to find you, and the areas you cover for home visits deserve stating properly rather than being left implied.

Your site plan
Five pages, named after the problems people have.
Structure the site the way somebody would describe their own feet and you are found by people whose search never contains the word podiatry.
What you treat, the prices, whether you do home visits, and how to request an appointment.

- Send documents and photographs straight from your phone
- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft on a phone before anybody else sees it

- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
There is nothing technical to learn and no WordPress to open. One login, and the rest is us.

SEO
Three searches, and none of them says podiatry.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. This profession has an unusually large gap between what it calls itself and what patients type, which is an opportunity rather than a problem.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
This is an illustration of a results page, not a promise of a position. Nobody can guarantee where a website appears on Google, and we do not.
Three example searches
- ingrowing toenail York
- chiropodist York
- verruca treatment York
"Chiropodist" is still searched far more than "podiatrist" by older patients, which is worth knowing when choosing targets. We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
The plans
The same podiatry website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A podiatry website organised around the problems patients actually have, with prices and registration in the open.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.
Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed local searches, including the words patients use rather than the ones the profession does. How SEO works

How it works
Your part is one evening and a price list.
Choose a plan, send us your treatments and your registrations, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us the clinic details
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: your treatments and prices, your registrations, your home visit areas, your hours, and where enquiries should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a price or a clinical description needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a laptop and a phone, for you to review clinically before anything is published.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
