Web design for security companies
In security, the badge on the page is the argument.
Anybody can fit a camera bought online. What a customer is really buying is that the system was designed by somebody qualified, installed to a standard, and will be maintained by a company that still exists in three years. Accreditations, insurance and a proper survey process are not the small print on a security website. They are the product. We build the site around them, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

Credentials
This is the one trade where the accreditation comes first.
On most websites the badges go at the bottom. On a security website they belong near the top, because they are the whole reason a customer picks a company over the cheapest quote, and because insurers and police response schemes actually require them.
We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no implied approvals. If an accreditation is pending, we say pending or we leave it off.

- NSI or SSAIB approval, and the schemes you are approved under
- The standards you install to, such as the relevant alarm grading
- Public liability insurance, with the level you carry
- Employers' liability insurance for your engineers
- SIA licensing where your work requires it
- DBS checks on engineers entering homes and schools
- Manufacturer accreditations for the systems you install
- Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Checkatrade, Trustpilot
The systems
Three systems, three completely different conversations.
Somebody who has just been burgled wants an alarm today. Somebody building an office wants access control designed in. Somebody with a yard wants cameras they can actually see something on. Separating them means each gets an answer instead of a brochure.
The system people know they need, usually after something has happened or an insurer has asked.
Graded systems, explained
What the grades mean in practice, why an insurer may specify one, and what that changes about the install.
Monitored or audible
Bells-only against monitored with a keyholder or police response, with the ongoing cost of each stated honestly.
Wireless and wired
What suits an occupied house, a period property or a commercial unit, rather than one answer for everybody.
The most-searched and the most misunderstood. Most complaints are about footage nobody can use.
Cameras that identify, not just record
The difference between seeing that somebody was there and being able to say who. Resolution, placement and lighting decide it.
Remote viewing
Watching a yard from a phone, which is what most customers actually want and rarely ask for by name.
Data protection done properly
Cameras covering a neighbour's garden or a public footpath carry obligations. Saying so marks you out as a professional installer.
The commercial work, and the recurring revenue that makes the business worth something.
Door entry and access control
Fobs, keypads and intercoms for offices, blocks and schools, with fire and escape requirements respected.
Maintenance contracts
Annual servicing and callouts, which is the difference between a job and a customer.
Takeovers of existing systems
Adopting a system somebody else installed. A large, underserved search that most installers ignore.
Anything you do not install or maintain comes off the site. If you do not take on monitoring or takeovers, nobody rings you for them.
The first five seconds
Five questions, answered before anybody scrolls.
Security buyers are unusually cautious and unusually quick to leave. These are the questions in their head when the page loads, and answering them immediately is worth more than any amount of copy further down.
- 01
Are you approved?
The approval you hold Named at the top, not hidden in a footer strip
- 02
Do you cover me?
The towns you work in Written out, so a local search lands somewhere real
- 03
Do you do my kind of building?
Home, shop, office, yard Named separately, because they are different jobs
- 04
Will somebody come and look?
A free site survey The route to a proper specification rather than a guessed price
- 05
What happens after it is fitted?
Maintenance and callouts The question that decides who they choose, and nobody answers it
- 06
Are your engineers yours?
Employed and vetted Stated plainly where you can say it honestly
Where the work comes from
Half your enquiries arrive because a neighbour was burgled.
Security spreads down a street. One break-in on a road produces three or four enquiries within a fortnight, from people who have never thought about an alarm before and now cannot stop thinking about it. They search at eleven at night, from a phone, and they are looking for somebody local and credible rather than the cheapest quote.
The commercial side works the other way round. A unit being fitted out, a shop changing hands or an insurer asking questions produces a planned enquiry weeks ahead, with a specification and a budget. Naming the towns you cover matters for both, because a security company two counties away is not a company anybody wants attending a fault.

Your site plan
Five pages, split by system rather than by sector.
People search for the thing they want fitted. Organising the site around alarms, cameras and access control puts you in front of those searches while your competitors bury everything under "our services".

The logic of SEO
Security is bought after something happens, or before something opens.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. This trade has two entirely separate triggers, and the searches you choose decide which one you catch.
The kind of searches SEO works on
- burglar alarm installation Solihull
- CCTV installation Solihull
- access control Solihull
£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
- 1
A website that reads as a proper installer
Approvals near the top, systems explained rather than listed, and a survey process. Beside three sites selling camera kits, the difference is obvious in about four seconds.
- 2
Found by the people already looking
The SEO work is monthly work on the local searches, your Google Business Profile and the listings that decide who appears when somebody near you types alarm installer near me.
- 3
Two triggers, two kinds of job
Someone burgled last night wants an alarm this week. A business fitting out a unit is planning access control for next month. One is urgent and domestic, the other is planned and commercial, and the searches are different.
- 4
A site built to earn a survey
A specification needs a visit, and a visit needs trust. Everything on the page exists to make booking that survey feel like the obvious next step.
We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts.
Your Client Platform
One place to watch it being built, and to update an approval.
Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives: the stage it has reached, what we are waiting on, the draft to look through, and the button that says you are happy with it.
- Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
- Send certificates and photographs straight from your phone
- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and mark up changes
- Approve the website before anything goes live
- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
There is nothing technical to learn. One login to your Client Platform, and you never have to open WordPress.

The plans
The same security website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A security company's website built around your approvals, a page per system and a proper survey route.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works
Your part takes less time than one commissioning visit.
Choose a plan, tell us what you install and what you hold, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us your approvals
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the systems you install, your approvals and insurance levels, the areas you cover, photographs of your work, and where enquiries should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If an approval reference or a service needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a laptop and a phone: approvals up front, a page per system, and the survey form.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
