Web design across Haringey

Wood Green is the borough's Metropolitan Centre. Muswell Hill and Tottenham are not shopping in the same place, or searching for the same thing.

A Haringey website built around the one catchment you actually trade in, for £49.99 a month.

  • Website: £49.99/month
  • Website design fee: £0 upfront

Haringey

One council, one planning authority, and no single market from Wood Green to Tottenham.

The borough's Local Plan names Wood Green as its only Metropolitan Centre and sets out five district centres around it: Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Green Lanes, West Green Road/Seven Sisters and Bruce Grove/Tottenham High Road. That hierarchy is not decoration. It describes two genuinely different consumer economies divided by the north-south railway line, with barely a handful of crossings between them. West of the line, Muswell Hill and Crouch End are affluent, conservation-controlled and largely without a station of their own; a shopfront there works within rules a planner has already set. East of the line, Bruce Grove, West Green Road and Tottenham High Road are denser, more price-sensitive, and carry most of the borough's industrial land and its regeneration programmes. A business on the Broadway and a business on Tottenham High Road do not compete for the same customer, and advertising to the whole borough at once mostly pays to reach people who were never going to buy.

Wood Green sits between the two halves and is treated differently by every institution that matters. It has the borough's only Business Improvement District, trading as Future Wood Green, which won its founding ballot in 2018 and has since been renewed for a second five-year term across an expanded area. It also sits inside the Wood Green/Haringey Heartlands Opportunity Area, designated by the Mayor of London in 2004 with an indicative capacity of 4,500 new homes and 2,500 new jobs by 2041. No other centre in the borough carries that combination of a levy-funded promotional body and a formal growth designation, which is exactly why a business trading from Wood Green needs a different website conversation than one trading from Crouch End or Tottenham.

The east side of the borough has its own institutional story rather than a lesser version of Wood Green's. The Tottenham Area Action Plan created an entirely new district centre at Tottenham Hale, built around the station interchange rather than around history, and the council runs its own business support: a free advice programme for firms in Tottenham, Wood Green, Turnpike Lane and Green Lanes, and a Business Growth Programme that took 25 selected high-growth businesses through consultancy between April 2024 and March 2025. None of this makes it one market. It makes the borough a council area containing several, each with its own institutions, and a website's first job is deciding which one it is arguing for.

Haringey industries

The trade decides the shape of the site. Which half of Haringey you're in decides the tone.

A dental practice in Wood Green and a gardener working the gardens around Muswell Hill and Alexandra Park need different websites before either of them needs a different postcode.

A Wood Green or Muswell Hill search carries a centre name, not the borough name.

Nobody searches "web design haringey" as a customer. They search "dentist wood green", "accountant muswell hill" or "restaurant green lanes", because that is the centre they actually use. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these, matched to the part of the borough you trade in, so more of those customers get the chance to find you.

  1. 01
    “dentist Wood Green

Wood Green is the borough's Metropolitan Centre and its largest catchment, so this is a high-volume registration search rather than a one-off job; people compare practices before they book, and a site that answers their questions clearly wins the appointment.

  2. 02
    “accountant Muswell Hill

The affluent, conservation-controlled west of the borough has a large home-working and consultant base who never visit an office. They choose on how clearly fees are explained and how quickly a query gets answered, not on whether the practice is nearer N10 or N8.

  3. 03
    “restaurant Green Lanes

Green Lanes runs its own long trading strip through Harringay with a strong Turkish, Kurdish and Cypriot commercial identity, built on food retail and hospitality rather than comparison shopping. A search here is decided on the menu and the photographs, and increasingly on whether a table can be booked online.

Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the part of the borough you trade in and what your customers actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

Questions from Haringey businesses

Do you cover the whole of Haringey?
Yes, from Muswell Hill and Highgate in the west through Wood Green to Tottenham and Seven Sisters in the east, and every business type in between. Because the borough splits into genuinely different catchments, we build the site around the one you actually trade in rather than writing generic copy for the whole borough at once. Everything is designed, built and managed remotely, so there is no office to visit.
Is Haringey really one market for local search?
No, and treating it as one is where borough-wide advertising wastes most of its budget. The Local Plan sets out one Metropolitan Centre, Wood Green, and five separate district centres, each serving its own catchment either side of the railway line that runs through the borough. A search for a dentist in Wood Green and a search for a dentist in Muswell Hill are two different searches with two different sets of competitors, and the website and any ongoing SEO work should reflect that.
We're based in Wood Green. Does the town centre's regeneration status matter to us?
It can. Wood Green sits inside the Wood Green/Haringey Heartlands Opportunity Area, designated by the Mayor of London in 2004 with an indicative capacity of 4,500 new homes and 2,500 new jobs by 2041, and it has the borough's only Business Improvement District, trading as Future Wood Green. That means more new customers arriving over time and more competition for the same searches. Getting found now, before that growth lands, is worth more here than in a centre with no growth designation at all.
We already have a website we like. Can you just do the SEO?
No. SEO is not sold on its own any more — it is only available as part of Website + SEO, £349.99 a month in total, and that means building you a new PrimeStart website rather than adding search work onto the one you have now. For a business around Wood Green or Crouch End that already looks right for its trade and simply isn't being found in its own part of the borough, that's exactly what Website + SEO is built for. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
What does a Haringey business website cost?
Website is £49.99 a month with a £0 upfront design fee, and it costs the same in N22 as it does in N10. The first £49.99 is taken at signup, and there's an 18-month minimum term, £899.82 in total. Once that term is complete, the website is yours.
How does ongoing SEO work here?
Website + SEO is £349.99 a month total, with the website included rather than charged on top. Each month we work on three agreed local searches, for example "accountant Crouch End" or "restaurant Green Lanes", chosen around the specific local catchment you trade in, alongside your Google Business Profile and the website itself. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
Our trade covers Tottenham and Wood Green, not the west of the borough. Does that change the site?
Yes, and it should. The east side of the borough is denser, more price-sensitive and the focus of the council's own regeneration work, including the Tottenham Area Action Plan's new district centre at Tottenham Hale. The site, the photography and the searches we agree with you are built around that side of the borough rather than around Muswell Hill's very different, conservation-controlled market.
