Bowes Park
A short, small-unit parade with an unusually organised trader community either side of a footbridge halt.
Myddleton Road is the whole commercial spine of Bowes Park: barbers, delis and bakeries, cafes, hairdressers, takeaways, and Renaissance, the piano shop with a recording studio and coffee shop attached. It is a residential Edwardian-era grid running down to the railway rather than a shopping centre, and Bowes Park railway station itself, a two-platform halt on the Hertford Loop reached by a footbridge between two quiet cul-de-sacs, has never functioned as a commercial anchor the way a real interchange does. The London Borough boundary between Haringey and Enfield runs straight through the area, so a business here may have neighbours answering to a different council on the very same street.
What sets Myddleton Road apart from every other small parade nearby is who paid for its recovery. We Love Myddleton Road has run as a volunteer campaign since 2013, working with residents, traders, the police and the council, and Historic England has put forward funding to restore shopfronts on Myddleton Road in their original timber-framed style, part of the Myddleton Road Market's own first-Sunday-of-the-month tradition of the street promoting itself. There is no BID here and no levy, unlike the levy-funded and grant-funded improvement schemes running on some neighbouring high streets; on Myddleton Road, the improvement has been earned by people giving their own time. That gives the street something rare, a shared story people are actively telling each other, and it makes the website's job unusually specific: turn the attention the street has already won into a booking, an order or a visit, rather than let a weak page quietly waste it.
- Myddleton Road
- Bowes Park railway station
- Whittington Road
- the New River path
- the Haringey / Enfield boundary streets
If you trade directly on Myddleton Road, the site says that. If you also cover the residential streets either side of the Enfield boundary, it says that instead.
Myddleton Road searches are specific, because the street has a name people already know.
"Cafe Myddleton Road", "hairdresser Bowes Park", "bakery N22": people who already know the street's reputation search for it by name, often deciding to come before they've decided who to give the money to. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these, so more of those visits convert into your door rather than the one next to it.
- 01“cafe Myddleton Road”
Someone has already decided to visit the street, often because of the market or word of mouth, and is choosing between a handful of small units on the strength of photographs and how recently the hours were updated.
- 02“hairdresser Bowes Park”
Chosen visually and locally, usually on a phone, with Myddleton Road short enough that a customer can compare two or three options within a few doors of each other before they book.
- 03“bakery N22”
A specific, plannable trip rather than a passing one, often timed around the first Sunday market, so opening hours that are actually kept up to date decide more than they would on a busier high street.
Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people looking for Myddleton Road actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

The trade decides the shape of the site. Myddleton Road's own reputation decides who else you're compared to.
A cafe and a hairdresser on the same stretch of Myddleton Road need different websites, but both are competing for someone who chose the street before they chose the shop.
Eighteen months, then the website is yours.
Myddleton Road's recovery has been paid for in volunteers' time, not levy money. A website you never own works against that kind of effort. Complete the minimum term and this one belongs to you, whether you stay with PrimeStart or not.
