Broadway Market fills a weekend. The rest of the week has to be sold separately.

"Brunch Broadway Market", "florist london fields", "cafe london fields": one is a Saturday crowd, the other is a much quieter weekday search. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these.

  1. 01
    “brunch Broadway Market

Decided in a Saturday queue between nine and five, while the street is closed to traffic, where a menu and today's specials on a phone settle it faster than reading a stall from further down the road.

  2. 02
    “florist Broadway Market

Bought by someone walking the market stalls at the weekend, chosen on what's in stock and photographed rather than passed by chance on a weekday.

  3. 03
    “cafe London Fields Lido

Searched by someone coming out of the 50-metre lido, wanting something close enough to reach in wet hair rather than a destination worth a special trip.

Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people around London Fields actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

London Fields

12.65 hectares of park, Broadway Market closed to traffic on its western edge, and a trading week that peaks on Saturday.

London Fields covers 12.65 hectares and was recorded as common pasture land adjoining Cambridge Heath as early as 1275, first named London Field in 1540 and used by drovers before market transport existed. A game of cricket here was recorded as early as 1802, and the cricket square still hosts competitive matches from late April to mid-September. A wide arc of plane trees on the park's northern and eastern edges marks land restored after Second World War bombing destroyed the houses that stood there, and a heated 50-metre lido with its own cafe sits inside the park.

Broadway Market has traded since 1883, when it had 35 stalls selling vegetables, fruit, flowers, eggs and meat. That trade dwindled by the early 2000s, and a Saturday food market relaunched on 8 May 2004; the street now closes to traffic at weekends between nine and five. Four of Hackney's thirty-five conservation areas sit on this ground - Broadway Market, Albion Square, Beck Road, and Graham Road and Mapledene - and a station sits on the park's eastern edge.

For nine hours - nine until five, weekends only - Broadway Market's traffic closure turns the street into the busiest ground in this part of Hackney, and the plane-tree edge of the park fills with people who came for the stalls and the lido rather than for you. That gives London Fields' businesses an extreme version of a problem every seasonal trader has: huge Saturday demand, a much quieter Monday-to-Friday either side of it, and a website written as though every day were market day. Being explicit about weekday hours, weekday offers and how to order or book from Broadway Market or the park midweek is the job the market's traffic closure can't do for you on its own.

  • Broadway Market
  • London Fields
  • London Fields Lido
  • Albion Square

If you trade on Broadway Market itself, the site says exactly that. If you're further round the park towards Albion Square, it says that instead.

Questions

Questions from London Fields businesses

Do you work with businesses on Broadway Market and around London Fields?
Yes - Broadway Market itself, London Fields, Albion Square and the streets around the park. Everything is designed, built and managed remotely, so there's no office to visit.
Broadway Market only really trades at the weekend. Does that matter for the website?
It's the main reason to have one. The market and the lido pull in a weekend crowd, but the businesses around them earn all week if the website makes weekday hours, offers and ordering just as clear as the Saturday queue does.
Can the website handle pre-orders or bookings?
Yes, we build that in where it's wanted - a menu with pre-order details for the nine-till-five traffic closure on Broadway Market, or a booking page for weekday trade, so you're not limited to whoever's walking past the market stalls on a Saturday.
We already have a website we like. Can you just do the SEO?
No. SEO is not sold on its own any more — it is only available as part of Website + SEO, £349.99 a month in total, and that means building you a new PrimeStart website rather than adding search work onto the one you have now. A business on Broadway Market or around the park would be starting from the same place as everyone else here: a new site built around the trade, with the SEO work running from day one rather than retrofitted onto what already exists. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
What does a London Fields business website cost?
Website is £49.99 a month with a £0 upfront design fee, and it costs the same here as anywhere else. The first £49.99 is taken at signup, and there's an 18-month minimum term, £899.82 in total. Once that term is complete, the website is yours.
How does ongoing SEO work?
Website + SEO is £349.99 a month total, with the website included rather than charged on top. Each month we work on three agreed local searches, for example "brunch broadway market", alongside your Google Business Profile and the website itself. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
Is there a PrimeStart office near London Fields?
No. We have no premises around London Fields or anywhere in Hackney. Design, build, hosting and support are all handled remotely.
