Homerton High Street was the medieval village core, redeveloped in the 1880s, and still carries Sutton House at 2 and 4 Homerton High Street - a Tudor merchant's house built in 1535, now owned and run by the National Trust and the oldest house in Hackney. Homerton Hospital grew out of the Eastern Fever Hospital, established in 1870, and opened on this site in 1986. A few streets north, Chatsworth Road carries its own independent shops and an established Sunday market, and Chats Palace, a Carnegie library from 1912-13, has been a community arts centre since the council closed it as a library in 1976. Patients, visitors and hospital staff pass through this street for reasons that have nothing to do with shopping, often at odd hours and without knowing the area at all. We design, build, host and manage a professional WordPress website for £49.99 a month built for exactly that kind of customer, and we can work on your Google visibility once it is live.

On Homerton High Street, the hospital decides who's searching and when.
"Florist Homerton Hospital", "cafe Homerton station", "restaurant Chatsworth Road": three different customers, three different reasons to be here. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these.
- 01“florist Homerton Hospital”
Bought by a visitor with limited visiting hours, who decides on opening times and distance from the hospital entrance before anything else.
- 02“cafe Homerton station”
Chosen by hospital staff on a short break, who need to know it's open and close enough to get back on time.
- 03“restaurant Chatsworth Road”
Searched by someone at the Sunday market deciding where to eat afterwards, judged on the menu and photographs rather than on walking past.
Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people around Homerton actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

Homerton
A medieval village core, a Tudor house, and a hospital that decides half the street's customers.
Sutton House, at 2 and 4 Homerton High Street, was built in 1535 by Sir Ralph Sadleir, an aide to Thomas Cromwell. It's the oldest house in Hackney, owned and run by the National Trust, and has served over the centuries as a Victorian school, a First World War church institute, a trade union office in the 1960s and 1970s, and a squat in the 1980s. Homerton High Street itself was the medieval village core, redeveloped in the 1880s. Homerton Hospital grew from the Eastern Fever Hospital, established in September 1870 with 200 beds for typhus, scarlet fever and enteric fever; its original buildings were demolished in 1982 and Homerton University Hospital opened on the site in 1986.
A few streets north, Chatsworth Road runs its own, different trade: independent shops and an established Sunday market, though no launch date for it is confirmed. Chats Palace, built as a Carnegie library in 1912-13, became a community arts centre after the council closed it in 1976. Homerton station reopened in 1985, having closed in 1944.
The hospital changes who's actually on Homerton High Street. Patients, visitors and staff are here for a reason that has nothing to do with shopping, often at odd hours, often without knowing the area at all, and what they search for is whatever is open, close and quick to understand. The businesses that win that search are specific about hours and walking distance from the hospital or the station, rather than assuming anyone here already knows them.

If you're on Homerton High Street by the hospital, the site says exactly that. If you're on Chatsworth Road instead, it says that.
Homerton industries
The hospital decides the hours. Chatsworth Road decides the day.
A florist by Homerton Hospital and a cafe on Chatsworth Road are chosen for opposite reasons - one for being open right now, the other for being worth the trip on a Sunday - and the website has to do both jobs.
