Web design for businesses in Stratford
Two shopping centres, one station name between them, and a far more famous Stratford in Warwickshire.
A Stratford site that says which side of the tracks you trade on, for £49.99 a month.
- Website: £49.99/month
- Website design fee: £0 upfront
- Minimum term, then it is yours: 18 months

A customer searching Stratford might mean Westfield Stratford City, which opened in September 2011 with 350 stores, or the older Stratford Centre and Stratford Broadway across the tracks, or they might not mean London at all. The two centres here serve genuinely different trade, and the station that connects them cannot tell a search engine which one you are in. Naming Stratford Broadway, Gerry Raffles Square or the Westfield side explicitly, and saying east London while you are at it, removes all three ambiguities at once. We design, build, host and manage that kind of site for £49.99 a month, and we can work on your Google visibility once it is live.

Stratford
The Broadway and Westfield are not the same shopping street.
Westfield Stratford City opened in September 2011 with 350 stores, and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, spanning 560 acres, opened permanently to the public in 2014. On the other side of the railway is a much older town centre: Stratford Broadway, with St John's Church, which opened in 1834, and the Stratford Centre, which occupies an island site created in the 1960s by a gyratory traffic system. Theatre Royal Stratford East and Gerry Raffles Square sit just off it.
Those two halves draw different customers and different trade. A small independent on the Broadway is not competing with a chain inside Westfield, and a customer heading for one will very often not cross to the other. The station serves both and settles neither, which means the single word Stratford is doing far less work in a search than most business owners expect it to.
The name itself is old and specific here: first recorded in 1067 as Straetforda, from Old English straet and ford, meaning a ford on a Roman road. Stratford Langthorne Abbey was founded in 1135 by the Cistercian Order and became one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in England, and Stratford Town Hall, designed by Lewis Angell and John Giles, opened in 1869 with a 100-foot domed tower. None of that stops the word being nationally associated with a town in Warwickshire, which is why east London belongs on the page too.
- Stratford Broadway
- Westfield Stratford City
- Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
- Gerry Raffles Square and Theatre Royal Stratford East
- St John's Church, Stratford Broadway
- Stratford Town Hall
The two retail centres face each other across the railway, so we name the Broadway side or the Westfield side rather than leaving the station name to cover both.
Two ways to start, on either side of the tracks.
A professional website, or that website with ongoing SEO from the start. Both say which Stratford centre you trade in, because the two are separate markets sharing one name.

One word, three possible destinations, only one of them yours.
Stratford Broadway, Westfield Stratford City and Stratford-upon-Avon all answer to some version of the same search. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these.
- 01“restaurant stratford broadway”
The older town centre, which is a different set of premises and a different customer from the ones inside Westfield Stratford City across the railway.
- 02“builder e15”
A postcode search covering the Broadway, Maryland and Stratford New Town, so the site has to say which part of E15 rather than relying on the number.
- 03“barber near queen elizabeth olympic park”
A landmark search using the 560-acre park that opened permanently in 2014, made by people who navigate from it rather than from the town centre.
Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people around the Broadway actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

Stratford industries
Independents on the Broadway, not tenants in a shopping centre.
A restaurant on Stratford Broadway and a builder working the E15 streets both compete for a name that Westfield Stratford City and a Warwickshire town also answer to.
