Why a website

A builder or DIY customer checks stock and terms before picking up the phone.

A trade account holder booking machines for a site, or a homeowner hiring a tool for a weekend job, is usually working to a task, a date and a budget, and a site that answers stock, terms and deposits plainly wins the enquiry over one built on atmosphere photography alone.

01

They check what you actually stock

Diggers, dumpers, breakers, access platforms, generators or hand tools, named clearly, is the first thing a customer working to a job looks for.

02

They check the machine sizes

Whether you genuinely have the size or capacity their job needs matters directly to whether they can shortlist you.

03

They check deposit and ID terms

Delivery windows, collection arrangements, deposits and any ID or licence you require are practical questions a customer wants answered before they commit.

04

They want a fast way to check availability

A form or an existing route that starts the conversation efficiently, so the next step is a booking rather than an unanswered call.

Getting found

Nobody searches for plant hire until the job's confirmed and a start date is on the calendar.

"Mini digger hire near me", "breaker hire for the weekend", "access platform hire" — searches a builder or DIY customer makes once the job is planned. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of being visible when they do.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your company — say, "plant hire Swindon", "digger hire" and "tool hire near me" — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so you appear on the map with your stock, coverage and a way to reach you.
  • Reviews handled carefully. A simple way to gather genuine reviews from customers you've worked with, shown as written and never used to imply a result we can't confirm.
  • Content that answers real questions. What a delivery window actually covers, what deposit or ID a hire requires, and how far ahead to book for a busy weekend, written accurately for a customer planning a job.
  • A monthly report you can read. What moved and what we're doing about it — in your Client Platform, without the analytics jargon.

We never promise rankings or a number of new bookings. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

A customer with a job starting Monday wants your stock and deposit terms named — the machinery photos can wait.

A job starting Monday doesn't leave time to browse — stock and the deposit figure have to be the first thing on the page.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your logo dropped in. It's built around what a comparing customer needs to decide quickly: your stock, your terms, and how to reach you.

"A customer with a job starting Monday doesn't need mood-board photography. They need to know, clearly, whether you can supply the machine and what the deposit is."

Can the site show our HAE membership or Safe Hire status?
Yes, if you hold it. HAE (Hire Association Europe), the UK's trade association for the plant, tool and equipment hire sector, runs the SafeHire certification scheme; we show your membership or certification exactly as held, never assumed on your behalf.
How much does a website for a plant and tool hire company cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £99.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £899.91 paid upfront for the year (save 25%). Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £3,149.91 paid upfront for 12 months of Website and SEO. For new agreements, after the first 12 months the website continues automatically at £49.99 a month for hosting and aftercare, with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice; Website + SEO continues at £299.99 a month while SEO is still running. Existing customers keep the pricing in their own agreement.
Can the site take hire bookings or check availability online?
The site is not an online hire or availability platform. PrimeStart sites do not include a cart or automated booking system as part of the standard plan; the enquiry form, or your existing phone or trade account route, starts a conversation about the job and dates instead.
Can the site show different information for trade accounts and DIY customers?
Yes, and we recommend it where the two genuinely differ. A trade account holder booking repeat machines and a DIY customer hiring for one weekend often need different information, and the site can speak to both clearly.
Can the site name our past clients or projects?
Only where you give us permission to use a genuine client's name, and only for real work. We never invent a client, a review or a case study.
Do we own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
