Web design for barbershops
Can I just turn up? That is the whole question.
A barbershop website has one job and most of them fail it. Somebody is deciding, right now, whether to walk down or whether they need an appointment, and whether there will be a queue when they get there. Answer that in the first screen, with your prices and your hours beside it, and you have done more than any amount of design. We build it that way, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

Booking
Walk-in on a Tuesday. Booked on a Saturday.
Most shops run both and never explain it, so customers guess wrong in both directions: they book a slot they did not need, or they turn up at half past ten on a Saturday and wait forty minutes. Saying which days are which is genuinely useful, and almost nobody does it.
- Say which days take walk-ins
The most useful sentence you can publish. It stops the wasted journey and the forty-minute wait, and both of those become bad reviews.
- Let them ask for a barber
Men are loyal to the person who cut it last time and will wait for them. A field for who they usually see prevents the awkward reassignment.
- Thirty minutes, not an hour
Showing the length is what makes somebody realise they can fit it in at lunchtime, which is exactly when your quiet chairs are.
Prices
Three prices, and no scrolling to find them.
This is a simple, fixed-price trade and the website should feel like it. A short card of prices near the top does more for conversion than anything else on the page, because it is the second thing anybody wants after the walk-in question.
- Fixed prices, said plainly
Barbering is one of the few trades where the price genuinely does not vary. Publishing it costs nothing and removes the only real hesitation.
- Say the student and kids rates
If you do them, they are worth naming. They bring in the quiet hours and they are what a parent is searching for on a Saturday morning.
- Cash or card, and tipping
Small things, asked constantly. One line each saves your barbers being asked twenty times a week.
Prices shown are the example shop's illustrative rates. Yours are your own, and we change them whenever you want.
On a phone
He is standing outside deciding whether to come in.
Barbershop traffic is almost entirely mobile and almost entirely immediate. Somebody is on the high street with twenty minutes spare, or on the sofa deciding whether it is worth the walk. The site has to load instantly and answer in one screen.
- Opening hours in the first screen
The most-checked fact about any barbershop and the one most often buried on a contact page. It belongs above the fold, every day of the week listed.
- One tap to the map
"Kelham Island" means nothing to somebody new to the city. A tappable address that opens their maps app is worth more than a paragraph about the location.
- Fast on a high street signal
No sliders, no video, nothing that stalls. If it takes four seconds he has already walked past.
The work
Fades are chosen from photographs, like everything else.
Men who are particular about their hair are extremely particular, and they are looking for evidence that you can do the specific thing they want. A grid of your own cuts settles it far faster than a description of your experience.

Photographs here are illustrative. Your own cuts replace them, and we can pull your Instagram in so the grid keeps itself current.
Where customers come from
A barbershop's catchment is about a ten-minute walk.
Almost nobody drives across a city for a haircut they could get on their own street. That makes barbering one of the most tightly local trades there is, and it means the searches worth winning are not city-wide at all: they are the suburb, the district, the road with the tram stop on it. Naming those specifically puts you in front of the people who might actually come in.
It also means the Google Business Profile does an unusual share of the work. Hours, photographs and reviews decide the map result, and the map result is where most of this traffic sits. The website's job is to back that up with the things the map cannot say: whether you take walk-ins, what a cut costs, and what your barbers' work actually looks like.

Your site plan
Four pages is plenty, and the home page does most of it.
A barbershop does not need a large website. It needs a fast one that answers three questions before anybody scrolls, and a gallery that proves the cuts.

- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft on a phone before anybody else sees it
- Approve the website before it goes live
- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
There is nothing technical to learn and no WordPress to open. One login, and the rest is us.

SEO
Three searches, and one customer comes back every four weeks.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Barbering has the shortest repeat cycle of almost any trade, which makes each new customer worth far more than one cut.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not. What we commit to is the agreed work every month, tracking what happens, and changing course when the evidence says to.
- 01“barbers near me Sheffield”
The big one, almost entirely mobile, and usually acted on within the hour. Whoever shows up with clear hours and a walk-in answer gets the visit.
- 02“barbershop open now Sheffield”
Time-sensitive and enormously valuable. If your hours are correct everywhere, you catch the person whose usual shop has just shut.
- 03“skin fade near me Sheffield”
Specific and quality-led. Somebody searching for a particular cut is choosing on skill rather than convenience, and they tend to stay once they find someone good.
For a barbershop, the Google Business Profile matters as much as the website: hours, photographs and reviews decide the map result, and the map result is where most of this traffic actually is. We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
The plans
The same barbershop website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A barbershop website that answers walk-in, price and hours before anybody scrolls.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.
Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed local searches and the Business Profile that carries most barbershop traffic. How SEO works

How it works
Your part takes about as long as two cuts.
Choose a plan, tell us your prices, hours and walk-in days, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Tell us the basics
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: your prices, your opening hours, which days take walk-ins, your barbers, photographs of your cuts, and where bookings should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a price or your walk-in policy needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a phone first: walk-ins, prices and hours in the opening screen, gallery below.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
