Once it is live
The website stays finished. We keep working on it.
A PrimeStart website never needs you to maintain it. This is what happens after it goes live, and what changes when you ask for something.
- Approved and live
- Nothing is published until you have seen it and said yes.
- Backed up
- Regularly, by us, so a mistake is never the end of anything.
- Updated
- WordPress and every plugin, applied and checked by PrimeStart.
- Changes made
- A new service area or a changed price: ask, and it is done for you.
- Yours
- After month 18 the website is yours, on the terms of the Website agreement.
What you get
A professional website, and everything that keeps it working.
Most website quotes stop at the design. Ours starts there. The plan is the website, the hosting, the upkeep and the support, as one service with one point of contact.
We build it.
- Designed around your business and your industry, not a template
- Custom-built on WordPress, generally up to five pages
- Enquiry forms that reach your inbox and your phone
- Works properly on phones, tablets and desktops
- Basic Google foundations: structure, titles, descriptions
We host it.
- Managed hosting, included
- Your domain name, included
- SSL certificate, so the site shows as secure
- Security kept current
- Regular backups
- Monitoring, so problems are ours to notice
We look after it.
- WordPress and plugin updates, applied and checked by us
- Technical maintenance and fixes
- Reasonable small changes, subject to fair use
- Support by phone, email and your Client Platform
- Nothing technical for you to manage, ever
The standard
This is the kind of website you get.
Designed around one business at a time, with the trade’s own photographs, its services named the way customers search, and a way to get in touch on every page — on a desktop, and on the phone most of your customers are holding.
An example electrical business’s website, shown on a desktop browser and on a phone. Stonebridge Electrical is an example business rather than a named customer.
- Built for phones firstMost customers arrive on one, so the phone version is designed, not squeezed.
- Services named the way people searchNot what the trade calls them — what a customer types.
- A way to get in touch on every pageCall, message or request a quote, without hunting for it.
Stonebridge Electrical, Bristol & surrounding areas. An example business.
The website itself
Five pages, planned around how your customers choose.
A small business website has one job: help the right customer decide to get in touch. So we start with that decision, not with a layout. What do they need to see first? What convinces them? How quickly can they reach you?
Then we plan the pages around the answers. For most businesses that is five: a home page that says what you do and where, a services page that names the work the way customers search for it, a page about you, a page that shows the work, and a contact page that makes the next step obvious.
Need something extra later? No problem. PrimeStart customers can order additional services such as extra pages, branding and one-off optimisation through their client dashboard whenever they need them.
Built around the business
The same plan. A different website.
A plumber’s customers are often standing in water. An accountant’s are choosing someone to trust for years. Those are two different websites, so we do not build the same one twice with a different logo.
Plumbers
Leads with the call button and the emergency, because their customer is standing in water.
Accountants
Leads with calm trust and clear services, because their customer is choosing someone for years.
Gardeners
Leads with the work itself, because a garden is judged by eye before anyone reads a word.
84 kinds of small business, each with a website structure designed for how its customers choose. The plan and the price are the same for all of them.
You never log in to WordPress.
It is your website. The technical side of it is our job.
Fully managed
Your part is short. Ours is everything else.
PrimeStart websites are built on WordPress because it gives us proper control over design, structure and the foundations search engines read. You get the benefit of that platform without ever having to learn it.
Your part

- Tell us about it, once
- Send your logo and photographs
- Say when something needs changing
Our part

Before launch
You see it first. Nothing goes live until you say so.
The first-draft target is five working days from the moment your project is Ready to Build, which is when we have what we need from you, not the moment you pay. Then the Pre-Launch Design Promise: you review it on your phone and your desktop, ask for reasonable changes, and nothing goes live until you approve it.

Why managed web design
Three ways to get a website. Only one asks nothing of you technically, and nothing large up front.
Most business owners weigh up the same three routes. Here is where each one actually costs you time, money or risk.
A DIY website builder
- You write the pages, choose the template and keep it updated yourself
- Security, backups and technical problems are yours to notice and fix
- Cheap to start, but it costs your own time every month, indefinitely
A traditional agency, paid up front
- A large design invoice before the website exists, often with hosting and support as separate ongoing costs
- Once it is delivered, changes and maintenance are typically billed by the hour
- Can suit a business that wants to own the build outright from day one and has the upfront budget for it
PrimeStart, managed and monthly
- £0 upfront website design fee — the cost of the build is recovered through the monthly service instead
- Hosting, security, updates, backups and reasonable small changes included every month, not billed separately
- After 18 months the completed website is yours, on the terms of the Website agreement
There is no single right answer for every business. If a large upfront build with nothing monthly afterwards genuinely suits you better, say so on a call and we will tell you honestly.
The price
One monthly figure. No design invoice in front of it.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service instead, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.
Moving the website elsewhere is subject to the third-party licences any website relies on, such as WordPress, plugins, fonts and stock photography. The full wording is in the Website Subscription Terms.

When you are ready
Get online first. Add SEO when the business wants more.
The Website plan includes the technical Google foundations every site needs. If you later want PrimeStart working every month on how easily customers find you, that is Website + SEO: the same managed website, included, plus ongoing SEO work on three priority searches agreed with you.
£349.99/month total, website included. How SEO works
The kind of searches SEO works on
plumber leeds boiler repair headingley bathroom fitter leedsAn example for a plumber in Leeds. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.
Questions
The things people ask before they start.
If yours is not here, ask. We would rather explain it now than have you wondering.
Is there really no upfront website design fee?
Why is there a minimum term?
Do I own the website?
Do I need to write the wording?
Can I change things after launch?
Can you build an online shop?
Ready for a website you never have to think about?
Tell us about your business. We design it, build it, host it and look after it. You approve it before it goes live.
