Web design for kitchen fitters
The fitter who explains the three weeks gets the kitchen.
Somebody has been saving for four years and looking at doors for eight months. They have three prices and one question keeping them awake, and it is not the handles: it is how long they will be washing up in the bath. The fitter who answers that plainly, and shows a job halfway through, gets the deposit. We build your website around that answer, then host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

The middle of the job
Nobody is nervous about the finished kitchen.
They are nervous about the fortnight before it. Where the kettle goes, which day the water is off, whether the worktop really takes another week once the units are in. Put the stages on the website, in order, and the question every kitchen customer has is answered before they ask.
It filters, too. The one who wanted a kitchen fitted a fortnight on Tuesday finds out now, not on your driveway.
- 01
The survey, weeks before anything is ordered
An hour with a tape and a torch: where the stopcock, the waste and the consumer unit really are, which walls are solid, how far out the floor is. Surprises are cheapest on survey day.
- 02
Ordering, and the lead time nobody expects
Units, doors and appliances arrive when they arrive, so the fit date follows the delivery. Saying so stops people assuming they can ring on Monday and cook on Friday.
- 03
Strip-out and first fix
Old kitchen out, walls made good, then pipework and circuits moved before a carcass goes in. This is the week the room is unusable, and it deserves a photograph.
- 04
Units in, then the wait for the worktop
Carcasses levelled, doors hung, fillers scribed to walls that were never straight. Stone and composite worktops are templated on the fitted units and come back days later, so there is a stretch with no surface. Explained in advance it is a stage; unexplained it is a complaint.
- 05
Second fix, handover and the last few things
Sink and taps connected, appliances tested, hob or cooker signed off by the right trade, then silicone, plinths and a walk-round. Anything outstanding is written down with a date, which is usually when a customer decides to recommend you.
Timings vary with the room and the trades involved. We write yours in your words, so nobody arrives with a date you never gave.
Three routes
Three ways a kitchen gets bought. Your website has to pick.
The enquiries that waste an evening are the wrong kind: a design service you do not offer, or a price for a kitchen you were never going to supply.
Design, supply and fit
You survey, draw the layout, order the units, worktops and appliances, and fit the lot. One person carries it from the tape measure to the handover, which is what the customer is paying for.
- Finished rooms, and the planning behind them, first
- A survey request rather than a price list
- Worktops and appliances explained without a showroom lecture
Fitting only
The kitchen is already bought and stacked in the garage, flat-packed, from a national retailer. These customers want a fitter and nothing else, and they are ready now.
- A page that says plainly you fit kitchens other people supply
- What has to be true first: delivered, checked, room clear
- A form that asks for the plan and the delivery date
Showrooms and builders
Some fitters get half their week from independent showrooms, developers and builders who want a reliable pair of hands on a programme.
- A short trade page, away from the homeowner pages
- How you work to a programme, and how far you travel
- A direct route that skips the survey form
Most fitters do two of the three and want more of one. The website is where you say which.
The work
Finished rooms persuade. Half-built ones reassure.
A finished kitchen shows what somebody could have. A photograph from day four, floor protected and first fix done, shows how it gets there.

Photographs here are illustrative. Your gallery is your own kitchens.
The enquiry
A survey request that filters, without feeling like a sales form.
Kitchens are decided over weeks. People look, save, measure, argue about islands, and then one evening they get in touch. What arrives should tell you whether it is a survey worth an evening.
- 1The room, and roughly how big
A galley refresh and a knock-through with an island are different months of your life. One line and a photograph tells them apart.
- 2Where they have got to
Still looking, holding a showroom drawing, or a kitchen already in the garage. Three conversations, and you know which before you ring back.
- 3A budget band, if they will give one
Optional, and bands rather than figures, because a range feels less exposing. It saves an evening when the money and the room do not meet.
- 4You answer with a date or a call
It lands in your inbox as one message with the photographs attached, so you see the room before the diary.
Your number stays the biggest thing on every screen. The form is for the ones planning a kitchen at eleven at night.
Where the work comes from
Three weeks in one house makes the radius matter.
A boiler service is half a morning and forty miles is nothing. A kitchen is a fortnight of vans, deliveries, a worktop template and a trip back for the last handle, so most fitters draw a tighter circle and want more work inside it. The towns you cover belong in the header and at the foot of every page: half the people reading are only working out whether you come to them. It is also how you get found, because somebody in Ely types kitchen fitters near me while the old units are in.
Your site plan
Five pages, in the order a kitchen is decided.
What do you fit, how does a fit work, what have you finished, who is coming into my house, how do I get you here. Nothing else is needed.

About & survey
Who is in the house for three weeks, what you hold, which trades come with you, and the survey form.
- Who fits it
- Insurance
- Survey form
Generally up to five pages on Website, planned around how your customers choose.
Need something extra later? No problem. PrimeStart customers can order additional services such as extra pages, branding and one-off optimisation through their client dashboard whenever they need them.
Credentials
A stranger, a five-figure job and a key to the back door.
A kitchen is one of the biggest things most people ever have done to a house, and they are handing it to somebody they met once. What you hold belongs on the home page and beside the survey form.
We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it. No borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no claims about years.
Things we'll display if you hold them
- Public liability insurance, with the level you carry
- The Gas Safe registered engineer who connects a gas hob or cooker
- The Part P registered electrician who signs off the circuits
- BiKBBI membership
- Approved installer status where a supplier has given it
- TrustMark or Which? Trusted Trader registration
- Reviews wherever they live: Google, Checkatrade, Houzz
Scheme names here are illustrative. You tell us what you hold and which trades come with you, and that is what appears.
The logic of SEO
Kitchens are searched for months before they are ordered.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. For a kitchen fitter those usually split between the trade word, the town and the job you want more of.
The kind of searches SEO works on
- kitchen fitters Cambridge
- kitchen installation Cambridge
- kitchen fitters near me Cambridge
£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
- 1
A website that looks like your standard
Three fitters get compared on a phone in a kitchen that is still standing. The one whose photographs are large and captioned tends to get the survey.
- 2
Found while they are still deciding
Monthly work on the local searches, your Google Business Profile and the listings that decide who appears nearby. Kitchen customers look for months, so being there early matters.
- 3
More of the work you actually want
A fitting-only search brings kitchens somebody else has sold; design and fit brings the longer jobs. Choosing the searches is choosing what turns up.
- 4
A site built to turn looking into asking
Photographs at the top, the stages explained, the towns in the header and a form that asks four sensible questions.

The price
You itemise a kitchen quote. Here is ours.
For kitchen fitters who need a professional site that shows the work and brings in surveys.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: whether you supply as well as fit, the towns you cover, the trades who come with you.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have everything. If a kitchen has no photographs or a service needs a decision, we say which and carry on.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a laptop and a phone: the gallery, the stages of a fit and the survey form, with your own kitchens in it.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
