Web design in Hammersmith

Hammersmith web design for a 37.8-million-visit interchange and an office cluster naming L’Oreal and Disney.

The Broadway’s interchange, King Street’s shops and the Lyric Theatre, the Hammersmith Apollo, Riverside Studios, and a genuine corporate office cluster around the A4 all give Hammersmith real scale as a business district, not just a place people pass through. We build the website to match it — for £79.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

A 37.8-million-visit interchange still checks a business online before it walks in.

Hammersmith Broadway brings commuters, theatre-goers and office workers past the same shopfronts every day, and a genuine cluster of corporate tenants around the A4 means the businesses that serve them are judged on the same standard — which starts with how credible your website looks.

01

They’re changing lines through the Broadway

Hammersmith’s Underground interchange brings huge, recurring footfall — most of it people with somewhere else to be, deciding in seconds whether to stop.

02

They work at one of the offices nearby

A genuine corporate office cluster sits around Hammersmith Broadway and the A4, and the businesses that serve those workers are expected to look just as professional.

03

They’re heading to the Apollo, the Lyric or Riverside Studios

Theatre and event nights bring people searching for somewhere to eat or drink beforehand, on a schedule that doesn’t leave time to guess.

04

They want to enquire without a wasted first call

An enquiry or booking form that reaches your phone catches the right detail first time, instead of a call you have to chase up.

Hammersmith

From an independent parish in 1631 to a corporate office cluster on the A4.

Hammersmith split from Fulham parish in 1631 and has grown into one of west London’s major business centres — an interchange, a theatre district and a genuine office economy, all within walking distance of the river.

Becomes an independent parish

Hammersmith separates from the older Fulham parish, marking its own identity distinct from the district to its south.

An industrial and manufacturing past

The Osram lamp factory and the J. Lyons food factory, employing around 30,000 at its peak, both operated in Hammersmith; aircraft manufacturing also took place here during both World Wars.

1954–1975

Riverside Studios becomes a BBC production base

The BBC uses Riverside Studios for television production for over two decades, before it continues as a cinema and performance space.

1992

The Ark completes the office cluster

Ralph Erskine’s office building, The Ark, is completed south of the Hammersmith Flyover, part of a corporate office presence the council itself names as including L’Oreal and Disney.

2020

Hammersmith Bridge closes

The bridge closes to pedestrians, cyclists and road traffic in August 2020 over unsafe cast-iron pedestals; in July 2026 the council shelved plans to reopen it to motor traffic because of repair costs, with no reopening date confirmed.

What that means for you, trading here today

A genuinely major business district, not just a transport hub.

The council's own town centres page records 37.8 million visits a year to Hammersmith Broadway and names L'Oreal and Disney among the international brands with offices here.

Two shopping centres and a weekly market on the same street.

King Street carries the Livat centre (formerly King's Mall) and a weekly farmers' market in Lyric Square, alongside the Broadway's own shopping centre by the station.

Ravenscourt Park nearby for the quieter, residential side.

If your business sits closer to the park than to the Broadway, our Ravenscourt Park page is written for that area directly.

Getting found locally

A major interchange with a corporate office cluster is a genuinely competitive place to be found.

“Media consultant hammersmith broadway”, “near the apollo”, “king street shops”, “restaurant near riverside studios” — real searches from commuters, office workers and theatre-goers, with real competition in a dense business district. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of making sure you’re found first.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, “media consultant hammersmith broadway”, “near the apollo” and a King Street search — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current so you appear on the map for Hammersmith searches, with your hours and a way to reach you.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask satisfied customers for a Google review once a purchase, booking or visit completes.
  • A page that names Hammersmith properly. Written for Hammersmith and its own streets specifically, not a shared page for Fulham or Ravenscourt Park with the name swapped.
  • A monthly report you can read. A straightforward account each month of what changed and what’s next, in your Client Platform.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found locally — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

An office cluster that includes L’Oreal and Disney sets the standard your website is judged against.

Hammersmith’s corporate tenants and its interchange footfall set a high bar for professionalism. We build a site that says clearly what you do, matches that standard, and gives a first-time visitor a reason to choose you.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in.

“Hammersmith is a transport interchange, two theatres and an office cluster the council itself names L’Oreal and Disney in. A business here needs a website that can hold its own next to that.”

Is Hammersmith Bridge open?
No. Hammersmith Bridge has been closed to pedestrians, cyclists and road traffic since August 2020 because of unsafe cast-iron pedestals, and in July 2026 the council shelved plans to reopen it to motor traffic because of repair costs. We haven't seen a confirmed reopening date, so we won't invent one.
Is this the same as the Fulham or Ravenscourt Park pages?
No. Each has its own page — see Fulham and Ravenscourt Park. This page is specifically about Hammersmith Broadway and King Street.
We already have a website we like. Can you just do the SEO?
No. SEO is not sold on its own any more — it is only available as part of Website + SEO, £349.99 a month in total, and that means building you a new PrimeStart website rather than adding search work onto the one you have now. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don’t.
What does a Hammersmith business website cost?
Website is £79.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £815.90 paid once. Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £2,192.90 paid upfront. After the first 12 months, the service continues automatically at £49.99 a month with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days’ notice.
How does ongoing SEO work?
Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the website included rather than charged on top, then £319.99 a month afterwards. Each month we work on three agreed local searches, alongside your Google Business Profile and the website itself, then report on what was done. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don’t.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
