Web design for print companies: services and artwork guidelines

PrimeStart designs a business-to-business website around your print company, then hosts it, updates it and looks after it for you. Built to show a business what matters — your services, your artwork guidelines, and a fast way to start a job — from £79.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

A business checks your services and artwork requirements, not a features list.

A business comparing printers is usually checking what you produce, how to prepare artwork correctly and your genuine turnaround, and a site that shows this plainly wins the enquiry against one built entirely from generic press-room stock photography.

01

They check your services

Digital and litho printing, large format, stationery, brochures and packaging, told apart clearly, is the first thing a business comparing printers looks for.

02

They check your artwork guidelines

File formats, bleed and proofing requirements, stated plainly, save both sides a delay once a job is booked.

03

They check your genuine turnaround

Honest turnaround times, never overpromised, reassure a business working to a deadline.

04

They want a fast way to start a job

A form that captures job details efficiently, so the next step is a reply rather than an unanswered message.

Getting found

A business usually searches before shortlisting a printer.

"print company Sheffield", "business card printing near me", "large format printing" — searches a business makes once it's comparing printers. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of being visible when they do.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, "print company Sheffield", "business stationery printing" and "large format printing" — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so you appear on the map with your services and a way to reach you.
  • Reviews handled carefully. A simple way to gather genuine reviews from customers you've served, shown as written and never used to imply a result we can't confirm.
  • Content that answers real questions. How to prepare artwork correctly, what a typical order costs to estimate, and how you handle proofing, written accurately for a business comparing printers.
  • A monthly report you can read. What moved and what we're doing about it — in your Client Platform, without the analytics jargon.

We never promise rankings or a number of new enquiries. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

A business deciding on a printer needs your services and artwork guidelines fast, not a page of generic press photography.

The business is usually deciding, carefully and often comparing more than one printer, whether to trust its deadline to your company. A generic print-company template treats every one the same. We don't.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your logo dropped in. It's built around what a business needs to decide with confidence: your services, your artwork guidelines, and how to start a job.

"A business choosing a printer doesn't need a stock photo of a press mid-run. They need to see, clearly, what you produce and how to prepare their files."

  • 1

Digital and litho printing, large format, stationery, brochures and packaging told apart clearly

Never one generic "printing services" page that makes a business guess what you actually offer.

  • 2

File formats, bleed and proofing requirements stated exactly as you set them

Never invented or assumed - shown only as your own terms.

  • 3

Your genuine lead times described exactly as you offer them

Never overpromised or blurred into one generic "fast turnaround" claim.

  • 4

A fast way to start a job

Never a web-to-print system we haven't built — a print enquiry route that captures job details efficiently, and links to your own ordering system if you already have one.

Request a call
Can the site include online ordering?
Only through your own existing ordering system, if you already have one - we link to it rather than building a new web-to-print system. We never promise online ordering as part of the standard plan.
Will our artwork guidelines be shown clearly?
Yes. File formats, bleed, resolution and proofing requirements are set out exactly as you provide them, so a customer knows how to prepare artwork before they enquire.
Does PrimeStart do any of the printing shown on our site?
No. PrimeStart builds and runs your website; every service, capability and piece of work shown on it is entirely your own. We never claim any print production role in it.
Do you cover packaging print work?
We describe packaging printing exactly as you offer it. If your business produces packaging, GOV.UK's packaging producer responsibilities guidance sets out the obligations that may apply to a business like yours - we can link to it from your site if it's relevant.
How much does a website for a print company cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £79.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £815.90 paid once. Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £2,192.90 paid upfront. After the first 12 months, the service continues automatically at £49.99 a month with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is registered and managed as part of the plan, and if you already own one we will use it.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
