Websites for taxi and private hire firms

Someone needs a cab in ten minutes. Someone else is booking an airport run for next Tuesday. The same page has to answer both.

PrimeStart designs a website around your taxi or private hire business, then hosts it, updates it and looks after it for you. Built to show you're properly licensed and to make it obvious how to book — from £99.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

Two customers decide the same way: is this outfit properly licensed, and does it cover where they're going.

Someone who needs a car within the hour and someone booking an airport transfer weeks out are both, underneath, deciding whether to trust a stranger's car. A website that hides licensing and coverage behind a bare phone number loses both.

01

A customer with ten minutes wants proof, fast

Licensing shown plainly and a booking route in one tap, not a search through a contact page to work out whether you're legitimate.

02

A traveller books an airport transfer weeks ahead

They want to know the pricing basis, that the route is covered, and that the car will be there — long before the journey, not on the morning of it.

03

Licensing is checked, not assumed

Being clear about operator, driver and vehicle licensing, worded exactly as your authority issues it, is what turns a stranger's car into one someone will actually get into.

04

A business wants a proper account, not a one-off fare

A company or school with regular travel wants an account enquiry route that asks about volume and regularity, not the same form as a single journey.

Getting customers

Somebody who needs a car right now is searching for one.

“Taxi near me”, “private hire Preston”, “airport transfer cost” — different searches, different urgency. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of being found for each one.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, “taxi Preston”, “private hire near me” and “airport transfer Lancashire” — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so your coverage area, phone number and licensing show up correctly on the map, especially late at night when it matters most.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask satisfied customers for a Google review, because a review is what someone checks before getting into an unmarked car.
  • Content that answers real questions. What an airport transfer costs, and how a business account works — the things people search for before they're ready to book.
  • A monthly report you can read. What we did, what moved, and what's next — in your Client Platform, in clear, straightforward language.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

Licensing and coverage need to sit where a nervous customer actually looks first.

Someone checking whether to get into your car and someone booking a business account weeks ahead are both making a trust decision before a practical one, and both deserve licensing and coverage stated plainly rather than buried behind a bare phone number. A template can't put the right facts in the right place. We can.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in. It's built around your licensing shown clearly, your coverage area stated honestly, and a link straight through to the booking route you already use.

  • 1

Worded as your authority issues it

Operator, driver and vehicle licensing (or TfL licensing, in London) shown plainly, never softened or implied.

  • 2

    The routes you actually take

Towns and distances you genuinely cover, so a customer researching a longer journey knows before they call.

  • 3

    Not a new dispatch system

A clear link through to the phone line, app or form you already use to take bookings, made easy to find.

  • 4

A form built for regular travel

Volume and frequency asked up front, so a company or school's account is quoted properly, not as a one-off fare.

Most of our work comes from regulars and a rank we already stand on. Do we need a website?
A rank and regulars keep you busy until a licensing check or an insurance renewal comes up, or a customer wants to book ahead rather than flag you down. A website is where a new customer, or a business setting up an account, checks you're properly licensed before they call — the licensing rules for taxi and private hire drivers are exactly what they're looking to see reflected on your site.
How much does a website for a taxi or private hire firm cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £99.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £899.91 paid upfront for the year (save 25%). Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £3,149.91 paid upfront for 12 months of Website and SEO. For new agreements, after the first 12 months the website continues automatically at £49.99 a month for hosting and aftercare, with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice; Website + SEO continues at £299.99 a month while SEO is still running. Existing customers keep the pricing in their own agreement.
Will the site show that we're properly licensed?
Yes, and worded exactly as your licensing authority issues it — whether that's private hire operator, driver and vehicle licensing, hackney carriage licensing, or Transport for London licensing in London. You tell us what you hold; we never add a licence you haven't given us.
Can the site take bookings directly?
The site links to the booking route you already use — your phone line, your app or an online enquiry form that emails you — rather than building a new dispatch or booking system. Most firms find that's what customers actually expect to use.
We run both local jobs and airport transfers. Can the site show both properly?
Yes. Local, on-demand journeys and pre-booked airport or long-distance transfers are set out as the two different things they are, each with its own pricing basis and its own route to book.
Can we take enquiries from businesses wanting a regular account?
Yes, as a separate business enquiry route that asks about volume and regularity, rather than treating a corporate or school account the same as a single fare.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
