Web design in Freezywater

Web design for Freezywater, named after a farm pond liable to freeze - still a small stretch, right on the county line.

A farming hamlet until St George's Church completed in 1906, Freezywater runs along Hertford Road to the Hertfordshire border with Waltham Cross, next door to Enfield Wash. We build the website for the business you actually run here, for £99.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

A small stretch on the county line. The website has to say exactly where you are.

Freezywater has no centre or station of its own, straddling Hertford Road right up to the Hertfordshire border. A search here is usually someone checking a name against a short list, or unsure whether they mean Freezywater or Enfield Wash next door.

01

Customers may not be sure which name to search

Freezywater and Enfield Wash sit right next to each other along the same road, so the website needs to be clear about which stretch you cover.

02

You may be competing across the county line too

With Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire right next door, a Freezywater business is sometimes compared against names just over the border as well.

03

They want to see real, local work

Photographs of jobs finished along Hertford Road or near Cunningham Park do more to win trust than a general claim to cover "Enfield".

04

They want to get in touch on their own terms

An enquiry form that reaches your phone catches the evening decision — someone comparing a couple of local names after work.

Freezywater

A farm pond that gave the area its name. A church, completed in 1906, that gave it a centre.

Freezywater was farmed by three main holdings for centuries, the largest called Freezywater Farm, and stayed little more than a hamlet until the twentieth century. The name itself is older still, first recorded in 1768 for a fishpond or duck pond that was liable to freeze over. See Enfield Council's own page on Commercial Opportunities.

The name is first recorded

Freezywater appears under that name, and again as Freezy Water in 1819 — both describing the farm pond the area took its identity from.

18th–19th century

Three farms hold the land

Freezywater Farm, Totteridge House and Freezywater House are the area's main holdings, tenanted from the manor for generations.

1906

St George's Church is completed

The large red-brick gothic church, replacing a temporary iron building, gives Freezywater a settled centre for the first time — the area becomes more than a hamlet around this point.

Today

A stretch on the county line

Freezywater still has no railway station of its own — the nearest are Enfield Lock, Waltham Cross and Turkey Street — and borders Hertfordshire directly to the north.

What it means for a business trading here today

A small area, honestly sized.

Freezywater is a farming hamlet that only grew a real centre in 1906 — the website should say so, not stretch the area's scale.

Right on the border.

Bordering Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire, a Freezywater business can genuinely draw custom from both sides of the county line.

Close neighbours worth naming.

Enfield Wash sits immediately to the south, so the site should say plainly which stretch a business actually serves.

Getting found locally

A Freezywater search can mean either side of the county line. Being specific matters.

"Electrician freezywater", "plumber hertford road en3", "gardener waltham cross border" — a small area where the search can cross into Hertfordshire. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of making sure the right search finds you.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, "electrician freezywater", "plumber hertford road en3" and "gardener waltham cross border" — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current so you appear on the map for Freezywater, with your hours, your work and a way to reach you.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask satisfied customers for a Google review once a job completes.
  • Pages for the stretch you actually trade on. Freezywater, Hertford Road or the wider corridor toward Enfield Wash, written properly rather than one page for the whole area.
  • A monthly report you can read. A straightforward account each month of what changed and what's next, in your Client Platform.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found locally — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

A small area on the county line needs a website that says exactly where you are.

A business in Freezywater is easy to mistake for one in Enfield Wash, or even Waltham Cross across the border, unless the website is specific. A template can't make that distinction. We can.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in.

Do you work with businesses based in Freezywater?
Yes, along Hertford Road, around Bullsmoor Lane and Cunningham Park, as well as businesses that trade from here but work further afield, including just over the Hertfordshire border. Everything is designed, built and managed remotely, so there is no office to visit.
We're closer to Enfield Wash. Does the website need to say Freezywater specifically?
Only if that's genuinely how customers find you. Freezywater and Enfield Wash sit right next to each other along Hertford Road, so tell us honestly which name people search and the site uses that.
We actually work into Hertfordshire too, not just Enfield. Is that a problem?
No — being right on the county border, plenty of Freezywater businesses genuinely serve both sides. Tell us honestly where your customers are and the website reflects that.
We already have a website we like. Can you just do the SEO?
No. SEO is not sold on its own any more — it is only available as part of Website + SEO, £349.99 a month in total, and that means building you a new PrimeStart website rather than adding search work onto the one you have now. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
How much does a website cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £99.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £899.91 paid upfront for the year (save 25%). Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £3,149.91 paid upfront for 12 months of Website and SEO. For new agreements, after the first 12 months the website continues automatically at £49.99 a month for hosting and aftercare, with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice; Website + SEO continues at £299.99 a month while SEO is still running. Existing customers keep the pricing in their own agreement.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
