Why a website

A camper who found your site on an aggregator is one honest reason away from booking direct instead.

Nobody books direct with a site whose own website looks less current than the Pitchup or club listing they just left. A website that hides its pitch types and facilities behind a bare contact form loses that booking every time.

01

A camper wants to compare pitch types properly

Tent, touring, seasonal and static pitches, and which have electric hook-ups, set out clearly enough to compare against the aggregator listing.

02

Dogs and facilities are checked before booking, not after

Dog-friendly pitches and shower or laundry facilities, stated honestly rather than a single blanket claim.

03

Seasonal opening and site licence matter as much as the pitch itself

Your opening dates and — where you hold one — your local authority site licence, shown in one place rather than assumed.

04

The route to book direct is obvious, not hidden

A clear, honest link to your existing booking route, so the case for booking direct actually converts.

Getting customers

Somebody planning a camping trip in your area is searching right now, and not every search starts on an aggregator.

"Campsites Exmoor", "touring pitch near me", "dog friendly campsite" — different searches, different campers. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of being found for each one, so you win the direct booking before an aggregator does.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your site — say, "campsites Exmoor", "touring pitch near me" and "dog friendly campsite" — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so your site and location show up correctly on the map when a camper searches nearby.
  • Reviews from genuine campers. A simple way to ask satisfied campers for a Google review, because a review is what someone checks before trusting a direct booking.
  • Content that answers real questions. Whether you have electric hook-ups, and if dogs are welcome — the things people search for before they're ready to book.
  • A monthly report you can read. What we did, what moved, and what's next — in your Client Platform, in clear, straightforward language.

We never promise rankings or a number of bookings. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

Your pitch types and facilities need to sit where a camper actually looks before they choose to book direct.

A camper comparing aggregator listings and a returning camper booking direct both deserve your pitch types and facilities stated plainly rather than buried behind a bare contact form. A template can't put the right facts in the right place. We can.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in. It's built around pitch types shown the way aggregator listings show them, hook-ups and dog policies stated honestly, and a clean, honest link through to your existing booking route.

"A camper comparing aggregator listings and a returning camper booking out of loyalty both want the same thing: to know exactly what pitch they're getting before they commit."

  • 1

Straight through to your existing system

A clean, honest link to the booking route or office you already run — never a promise of a new pitch-booking engine.

  • 2

Set out the way aggregator listings show them

Tent, touring, seasonal and static pitches and their hook-ups, so a camper can compare your site directly against the listing they just left.

  • 3

    Dog policy, facilities, site licence

Stated exactly as they apply, so a camper knows what to expect before they arrive, not after.

  • 4

    Set out alongside the pitches

Getting-here information and seasonal opening dates, so the site helps a camper plan the trip, not just book it.

We're listed on Pitchup and the Camping and Caravanning Club already. Will a website really bring us more direct bookings?
Yes — the website's job is to win the direct booking from a camper who has already found your site on an aggregator listing, with honest pitch types, facilities and arrival information. GOV.UK's caravan site licence guidance sets out what a local authority licence covers, which we display plainly where you hold one.
How much does a website for a campsite or caravan park cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £99.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £899.91 paid upfront for the year (save 25%). Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £3,149.91 paid upfront for 12 months of Website and SEO. For new agreements, after the first 12 months the website continues automatically at £49.99 a month for hosting and aftercare, with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice; Website + SEO continues at £299.99 a month while SEO is still running. Existing customers keep the pricing in their own agreement.
Can campers check pitch availability and book online through the site?
The site links campers through to the pitch-booking route or office you already use, and can send an enquiry for anything outside that. It doesn't include a new pitch-booking engine as part of the standard plan.
Can the site show our pitch types and hook-ups clearly?
Yes, exactly as you set them. Tent, touring, seasonal and static pitches, and which have electric hook-ups, are stated plainly, so a camper knows before they book.
We only hold a site licence for part of the year. Does the site handle seasonal opening?
Yes. Your seasonal opening dates are stated exactly as they apply, rather than left vague, so nobody arrives expecting a pitch outside your season.
We take dogs on some pitches but not others. Does the site handle that?
Yes. Dog policies and accessibility information are stated exactly as they apply to each pitch type, rather than a single blanket claim.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
