Web design at Chingford Green

Chingford Green is the old town centre. Not the station end, not Chingford Mount. The website should say so.

Chingford Green is the historic core of Chingford — the open green itself, the parish church of St Peter and St Paul built here in 1844, and the ivy-clad ruin of the old All Saints Church, rebuilt in 1928 after decades of dereliction. The King's Head, a coaching inn dating from at least the 1730s, still stands at the top of Kings Head Hill overlooking the green — well over a century before Chingford railway station and Station Road existed. We build the website that's specific about which Chingford you're actually in, for £79.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee, and we can work on your search visibility too.

Why a website

Chingford Green, Station Road and Chingford Mount are three different places. The website has to say which one.

The old town centre around the green predates the Victorian station by more than a century, and sits roughly a mile from the Chingford Mount crossroads. A site that just says "Chingford" is describing all three at once, which is another way of describing none of them properly.

01

A client near the green expects local knowledge of it

Someone searching "Chingford Green" specifically usually already knows it's the old town centre — they want a business that clearly knows the area too, not a generic Chingford page.

02

The two churches are genuine local landmarks

St Peter and St Paul's (1844) and the older All Saints (12th–13th century, restored 1928) are both well known locally — naming the right one, precisely, helps a search that includes either.

03

Kings Head Hill and The Ridgeway are real search terms

A search for a business "on Kings Head Hill" or "near the green" is specific enough that a vague "Chingford" answer loses the enquiry to a competitor who named the street.

04

It's not Chingford Mount, and shouldn't be confused with it

The Chingford Mount crossroads is roughly a mile south — a different commercial area entirely, and worth distinguishing clearly if your business could be mistaken for being there.

Chingford Green

A medieval church, its 1844 replacement, and a coaching inn that predates both the railway and the suburb.

Chingford Green carries more genuine history in one small area than most of the wider Chingford name — two churches and a working inn, all older than the Victorian development that grew up around the station.

The old parish church is built

What is now known as All Saints dates from this period, standing on a site probably used for worship since Norman times, and serves as Chingford's parish church for centuries.

At least the 1730s

The King's Head is already trading

The coaching inn at the top of Kings Head Hill, overlooking the green, is recorded from this period — well over a century before the railway reaches Chingford.

1844

St Peter and St Paul's Church is built on the green

Designed by Lewis Vulliamy, with later additions by Sir Reginald Blomfield in 1903, it replaces the old church as Chingford's parish church once that building becomes structurally unsafe.

1928

The old church is restored and reconsecrated

Rebuilt as new housing spreads around it, the old church takes back its original name, All Saints, and still stands a short walk from the green today.

What this means for your website today

The old town centre, named specifically.

Chingford Green is genuinely older than the Victorian station development — worth naming precisely rather than folding into "Chingford" generally.

Two churches, two landmarks.

St Peter and St Paul's (1844) and All Saints (12th–13th century, restored 1928) are both well known locally, and naming the right one helps the right search find you.

Not Chingford Mount.

The Chingford Mount crossroads sits roughly a mile south — a different commercial area entirely, worth distinguishing clearly if there's any risk of confusion.

Getting found locally

Chingford Green, Chingford Mount and Station Road are searched differently, even in the same postcode.

"Solicitor chingford green", "estate agent kings head hill", "accountant chingford old town" — each is a specific, different search. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of making sure the old town centre gets found on its own terms.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, "solicitor chingford green", "estate agent kings head hill" and "accountant chingford old town" — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current so you appear on the map for Chingford Green specifically, with your hours, your work and a way to reach you.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask satisfied clients for a Google review once a job completes — read closely by anyone comparing local businesses near the green.
  • Pages that name the old town centre precisely. The green, Kings Head Hill, The Ridgeway — written properly for each, not one page that lumps the whole Chingford name together.
  • A monthly report you can read. A straightforward account each month of what changed and what's next, written the way you'd explain a job to a client — in your Client Platform.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found locally — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

A search for the old town centre and a search for Chingford Mount need different answers. Web design here has to know which is which.

A solicitor near the green, an estate agent on Kings Head Hill, and an accountant serving the older streets around the churches all need a site that's honest about being at Chingford Green specifically, not Station Road, not Chingford Mount. A template can't make that distinction. We can.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in. Built with the same regard for the specific and the local as the parish that has centred on this green since 1844.

“The green isn't the station end, and it isn't Chingford Mount. Say which one you are, and the right search finds you.”

Isn't Chingford Green just part of Chingford? Does it need its own page?
It's worth treating separately. Chingford Green is the historic core — older than the Victorian station development around Station Road, and a different place entirely from the Chingford Mount crossroads a mile south. A business here benefits from naming the green specifically rather than being folded into "Chingford" generally.
We're near the old All Saints Church. Does the website need to mention that?
It can help, if it's genuinely relevant to your business or your address. All Saints is the medieval former parish church, restored in 1928 after decades of dereliction, and it's a well-known local landmark — naming it precisely, rather than vaguely, helps a search that includes it.
How much does a website cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £79.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £815.90 paid once. Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £2,192.90 paid upfront. After the first 12 months, the service continues automatically at £49.99 a month with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
How is Chingford Green different from Chingford Mount on your site?
They're treated as genuinely different places, because they are — Chingford Green is the historic centre around the old churches and the King's Head, roughly a mile north of the Chingford Mount crossroads. If your business could be confused with the other, tell us and we'll make sure the website is specific about which one you are.
Can the site show our trade body membership and insurance clearly?
Yes. Trade body membership, public liability insurance and any accreditations you hold are set out as normal content, placed where a client checking your name will actually look for them, using the wording and any logos you're entitled to use.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
