Websites for haulage companies

One load needs a spot-hire quote this afternoon. One customer wants the whole fleet on contract for the next two years.

PrimeStart designs a website around your haulage business, then hosts it, updates it and looks after it for you. Built to give a real quote for a real load and state your fleet and licensing honestly — from £99.99 a month with £0 upfront design fee.

Why a website

A spot-hire load and a fleet contract are both decided on the same two facts: what you run, and what it costs.

No business hands a load to a haulier without checking the licence and the fleet first. A website that hides this behind a bare contact form loses that load to whoever states it plainly.

01

A spot-hire customer wants a real quote, fast

Weight, dimensions and route gathered up front, so the quote reflects the actual load, not a phone call to find out whether a truck is even free.

02

A contract customer wants trucks committed to their work

A business wanting the fleet on contract wants a route to discuss volume and duration, not the same form as a one-off load.

03

The licence and the fleet are stated honestly, not assumed

Being clear about your operator's licence, your Transport Manager CPC and the vehicles you actually run is what turns an enquiry into a booked load rather than a wasted one.

04

The right trade is named clearly

HGV loads needing an operator's licence is a different trade to same-day and multi-drop van work, and the site should say so.

Getting customers

Somebody with a load to place is searching right now.

“Haulage company near me”, “contract haulage Yorkshire”, “tipper hire Wakefield” — different searches, different urgency. Website + SEO is the ongoing work of being found for each one.

  • Local searches, agreed with you. We pick the three searches that matter most to your business — say, “haulage company Wakefield”, “contract haulage Yorkshire” and “tipper hire near me” — and work on them every month.
  • Google Business Profile. Set up and kept current, so your fleet, coverage and contact details show up correctly on the map when a business is comparing hauliers.
  • Reviews from genuine customers. A simple way to ask satisfied customers for a Google review, because a review is what a business checks before committing a load to a new haulier.
  • Content that answers real questions. What a spot-hire load actually costs, and how a fleet contract works — the things businesses search for before they're ready to commit.
  • A monthly report you can read. What we did, what moved, and what's next — in your Client Platform, in clear, straightforward language.

We never promise rankings or a number of customers. We do promise consistent, honest work on being found — and to show you exactly what we did.

Built for you

The licence and the fleet need to sit where a business placing a load actually looks.

Someone with a load to place this week and someone reviewing a two-year fleet contract are both making a considered, practical decision, and both deserve your licence and fleet stated plainly rather than buried behind a bare contact form. A template can't put the right facts in the right place. We can.

Every PrimeStart website is designed from scratch and custom coded on WordPress in HTML and PHP — no page builders, no theme bought off a shelf with your name typed in. It's built around a quote form that gathers the real load, fleet and licensing stated honestly, and spot-hire and contract work set out as the different services they are.

“One load needs a truck this week. One business wants the fleet on contract for two years. Neither wants to guess at a price.”

  • 1

    Weight, dimensions, route

Gathered through the form, so the quote sent back reflects the actual load rather than a flat-rate guess.

  • 2

What you run, and what you don't

Your real fleet and operator's licence position, so a customer with a load knows before they commit.

  • 3

    Spot-hire and contract

Most businesses on this page run both, and the site sets them out separately rather than blurring them together.

  • 4

    A form built for a long-term commitment

Volume and duration asked up front, so a business wanting the fleet on contract is quoted properly, not as a single load.

Most of our work comes from repeat contract customers. Do we need a website?
Repeat contracts keep the fleet moving until a customer changes supplier or a competitor turns up first in a search. A website is where a new business checks your fleet and your operator's licence and Transport Manager CPC position, before they hand over a load.
How much does a website for a haulage company cost with PrimeStart?
Website is £99.99 a month for 12 months with no upfront design fee, or £899.91 paid upfront for the year (save 25%). Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, or £3,149.91 paid upfront for 12 months of Website and SEO. For new agreements, after the first 12 months the website continues automatically at £49.99 a month for hosting and aftercare, with no new minimum term, unless you give 30 days' notice; Website + SEO continues at £299.99 a month while SEO is still running. Existing customers keep the pricing in their own agreement.
Can the site quote a load automatically?
No. The site gathers weight, dimensions, pickup and drop-off through a quote form, and sends it to you — a genuine haulage quote depends on the actual load, not a flat-rate calculator.
Can the site show our fleet and licensing clearly?
Yes. Your fleet, vehicle types and operator's licence position are stated plainly, so a customer with a load to place knows before they commit rather than after.
We do spot-hire loads and long-term contracts. Can the site show both properly?
Yes. Most businesses on this page run both, so the site sets them out separately — a quote route for a one-off load, and a contract enquiry route for a business wanting the fleet committed long-term.
We're a haulage firm, not a courier. Will the site make that clear?
Yes. Haulage here means loads that need an HGV and an operator's licence — a different trade to same-day and multi-drop courier work, and the site is written for the trade you actually do.
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan the site is yours after the agreed 12-month term, subject to the contract. If you pay upfront you can choose an early handover once the site is complete and approved, or keep it managed with us.
How long until my site is live?
Once we have your details and photos we design your site, show it to you, make your amendments and go live only when you've approved it. You'll see the first design before anything is public.
