Web design for caterers
They are feeding 90 people and it cannot go wrong.
Nobody books catering casually. Somebody is responsible for a wedding, a funeral or a company day, and their reputation is attached to your food. What they need from a website is evidence that you have done this before, a menu with a price beside it, and an enquiry form that asks the right questions instead of "tell us about your event". We build that, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

The enquiry
Ask the six things you always have to ask anyway.
The standard catering enquiry form has a name, an email and a big empty box. What comes back is "Hi, do you do weddings?", and then four emails before you know whether the date is even free. Ask properly the first time and you can reply with a real answer.
- Date first, because it decides everything
If the day is gone, nothing else matters. Putting it at the top means you can say so in one line rather than after a week of messages.
- The venue changes the price
A kitchen on site, a field with a generator, a listed building with no access after six. Knowing which one you are dealing with before you quote saves the whole conversation.
- Day and evening numbers
They are almost never the same and the difference is thousands of pounds. Asking for both is the mark of somebody who has actually catered a wedding.
PrimeStart sites do not take payments or deposits. The enquiry arrives as an email, and your own contracts and invoicing carry on exactly as they do now.
The work
Photographs of your food, on the day, in the venue.
Studio shots of a plate on a white background prove nothing. A long table laid up in a barn, canapés going out on trays, a chef finishing plates in a marquee kitchen — that is what tells somebody you can actually do this at scale.

Photographs here are illustrative. Your own events replace them, and we can lay the strip out so the biggest jobs lead.
Why they can rely on you
The things a nervous organiser checks before they email anyone.
Catering is bought on confidence. The person enquiring is imagining what happens if the food is late, if it runs out, or if somebody has a reaction. Every one of these answers that fear before it becomes a reason not to enquire.
We publish exactly what you hold and nothing more. No invented awards, no fabricated reviews, no accreditation you cannot evidence.
Things we'll display if they apply to you
- Your food hygiene rating, and the local authority you are registered with
- Public liability and employer's liability insurance, if you hold them
- Allergen handling and how you manage dietary requirements
- Which venues you have worked at, or are on the approved list for
- Whether you bring your own equipment, staff, mobile kitchen or bar
- How far you travel, and what happens with venues that have no kitchen
- Genuine reviews and photographs from past events, with permission
Venue approved-supplier lists are worth naming individually. It is often the single strongest thing on a caterer's site, and it costs nothing to say.
How far you travel
Distance is a cost, and pretending otherwise loses money.
Moving a kitchen, a team and cold storage two hours each way is a different job from one twenty minutes down the road. Saying where you work, and where you will travel for the right event, means the enquiries that arrive already make sense.
- Name a radius, then say what extends it
"Within an hour of Harrogate as standard, further for weddings and multi-day events." Honest, easy to understand, and it does not turn away the job worth doing.
- List the venues you know
Somebody who has already booked a venue searches for the venue name and the word caterer. Being on that page is one of the most valuable things a caterer's site can do.
- Be clear about kit and kitchens
Whether you can work from a field, what you bring, and what the venue must provide. It is the question every dry-hire venue booking runs into.
- Harrogate
- Wetherby
- Knaresborough
- Ripon
- Boroughbridge
- Otley
- Leeds
- York
The core area first, then the towns you will travel to for a full event.
Your site plan
Five pages, split by the kind of event.
A wedding client and an office manager want completely different things and should never land on the same page. Splitting them is the single biggest improvement most catering websites can make.

Your Client Platform
Change a menu in March without ringing anyone.
Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives while it is being built, and where you ask for changes once it is live.
- Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
- Send new menus, prices and event photographs from your phone
- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft before anybody else sees it
- Approve the website before it goes live
- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
Catering is seasonal and menus move. Sending the new one is a message, not a project.

Website + SEO
Three searches, and one of them is somebody with a venue already booked.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Catering searches are made by people with a date, a venue and a budget, which is about as qualified as an enquiry gets.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not. What we commit to is the agreed work every month, tracking what happens, and changing course when the evidence says to.
- wedding catering near me
- event catering near me
- buffet catering near me
For caterers, the search that converts best is often the venue-plus-caterer one, because the person has already committed to the date. We research your area and the venues near you first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
The plans
The same catering website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A catering website that shows the food, gives a per-head starting point and turns enquiries into something you can answer in one reply.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.
Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed searches, including the venue searches that reach people who already have a date. How SEO works

How it works
Your part happens between events, not during one.
Choose a plan, send us your menus and photographs, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us the detail
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: menus and per-head prices, the events you cater, venues you work at, your hygiene rating and insurance, photographs, and where enquiries should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a price or a policy needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft with the menus and the enquiry form in place, so you can see the whole journey.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
