Web design for drainage companies

Drainage web design for the problem nobody can see.

Drainage is bought in the dark. Someone is standing over a gully that will not clear, or they are three weeks from exchange and a surveyor has written that the drains were never inspected. Neither can see the thing they are about to pay you to put right, so the website does it for them: where you go, what happens when you arrive, and how a camera turns a guess into evidence.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

The first ten seconds

Six answers people want while the gully is still filling.

Nobody reads a drainage website. They check it, standing outside, on a phone, and leave the second an answer is missing. Each one sits where the question gets asked.

  1. 01

"Do you come to my street?"

Your towns, postcode districts or a radius from the yard, in the opening line and on every page after it. You set the patch. We put it where they look first.

  2. 02

    "Can somebody come today?"

The hours you genuinely keep, beside a number they can tap. If today depends on where the van already is, the site says so rather than promising something you would have to defend. Honest beats heroic at seven in the morning.

  3. 03

"How do you charge for a blockage?"

A fixed price for a standard clearance, a call-out plus an hourly rate, or a look-first approach: whichever you use, in your own words, and what would change it. Silence about money costs you the call.

  4. 04

"Will you clear it, or find out why?"

Clearing, surveying and repair shown as one chain of work, so somebody on their third blockage this year can see there is an end to it. The recurring blockage is the job worth having.

  5. 05

    "Is it even my drain?"

A short, straight section on shared drains, lateral drains and where the water company takes over. It saves wasted call-outs and wins the ones that are real. The firm that explained it is the firm they ring back.

  6. 06

    "Who is actually turning up?"

Your name, your vehicles, the training and insurance you hold and your reviews if you have them, not a switchboard passing the job to whoever answers. Only ever what you have genuinely got.

Your work, your words

Clear it. Find out why. Put it right.

Drainage is one chain of work and most websites show only the first link. Yours shows all three, because the customer ringing about a blocked toilet is very often the one who needs the other two.

Clearing the blockage

The urgent end of the work, written the way somebody describes their own morning.

  • Blocked toilets, sinks and baths
  • Outside gullies and overflowing chambers
  • High-pressure water jetting
  • Fat, scale and wet-wipe build-up
  • Manhole and chamber clearing

Finding out why

The part that separates a drainage company from somebody with a set of rods.

  • CCTV drain surveys
  • Pre-purchase and homebuyer surveys
  • Drain tracing and mapping
  • Reports for insurers and solicitors
  • Recurring blockage investigations

Putting it right

The considered work, set out so the choice between lining and digging makes sense to a homeowner.

  • Patch repairs and full relining
  • Excavation and pipe replacement
  • Collapsed and displaced pipework
  • Root ingress repairs
  • Reinstating the ground afterwards

Septic tanks, treatment plants, tankering and commercial contracts appear only where you do them. Nothing is listed that you would turn down.

The evidence

Nobody buys a repair they cannot see. So show them the drain.

A survey is the one thing in this trade that cannot be argued with. Footage, a plan of the run and a written report turn an invisible problem into something a homeowner, a solicitor or an insurer can act on. That earns a page of its own, not three lines in a list.

  1. 1
They want proof, not a price

The page explains what the camera does, how long it takes on a normal house, what the report contains and who asks for one. Somebody three weeks from exchange stops comparing firms there.

  2. 2
    The request arrives complete

Address, reason, deadline, and room to attach a photograph or a video of the water standing where it should not. You work the job out before you ring back.

  3. 3
    The footage does the selling

Root ingress at four metres, a displaced joint, a cracked salt-glazed run under a patio. Once a customer has seen it, the question is no longer whether the work is needed.

  4. 4
The report ends in a decision

The same site sets out patching, relining and excavation in everyday language, so a survey finishes with a customer who knows what they want.

An illustration of the layout. Yours asks what you need answered before you set off.

Where you actually go

How far the jetter travels, and how far the camera travels.

Most drainage firms will drive twice as far for a booked survey as for a blockage at eight in the morning, and almost no website admits it. Yours can, which is how the wrong calls stop.

  • Towns and postcodes, not a county

The names local people actually say, plus the postcode districts, so a customer recognises their own road before they scroll.

  • Two distances, both stated

Same-day clearing close to the yard, booked work further out. One honest sentence saves an argument on the phone.

  • Response in your words only

If you are usually there within the hour first thing and it depends on traffic after that, the site says exactly that, and nothing more.

Blockages across Brighton, Hove and the coast. Surveys, lining and excavation across Sussex by arrangement.

Credentials

Everyone has heard about the survey that found something expensive.

Drainage customers arrive braced. They have heard about the camera that goes down a sound drain and comes back with four thousand pounds of work, and they cannot check the footage themselves. Training, insurance, a written report and reviews from real people settle that, so they go where a doubtful customer looks.

We never put a scheme, a review or an approval on your site that you have not given us. Every line can be checked.

What goes on the site, if you hold it

  • National Association of Drainage Contractors membership
  • WRc-approved survey training and reporting
  • Water Jetting Association training
  • Confined space entry qualifications
  • Public liability insurance
  • Waste carrier registration, where you take waste away
  • Your Google, Checkatrade or Which? Trusted Trader reviews

Scheme names are shown for illustration. You tell us what you hold, and the site shows exactly that.

The plan

Five pages that follow a drain from the gully to the repair.

For a drainage company the pages nearly always fall the same way: the emergency, the evidence, the repair, and where you work.

Your Client Platform

Where your website is up to, without ringing anyone.

Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. The build happens there: the stage you are at, the draft to look at, and one message thread instead of a lost email.

  • Follow the build stage by stage, from onboarding to launch
  • Message PrimeStart instead of hunting through an email thread
  • Send your logo, insurance details and photographs from jobs
  • Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and ask for changes
  • Approve the website before a single page is published
  • Ask for changes after launch, and order further work when you need it
  • See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)

Most drainage firms look at it from the cab, with the engine still running.

More about the Client Platform

Website + SEO

The surveys are the work worth being found for.

Blockage calls find you because somebody is desperate. Surveys, lining and commercial contracts get chosen, by people who searched, read three websites and picked one. SEO is the work behind being one of the three.

The kind of searches SEO works on

  1. cctv drain survey Brighton
  2. blocked drain Brighton
  3. drain lining Brighton

£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

  1. 1

A site that reads like a company

Letting agents, facilities managers and buying solicitors judge a drainage contractor on the website before anyone picks up the phone. That filter costs nothing to pass.

  2. 2

Found for the work you want more of

Monthly work on how easily local customers reach that website: the searches agreed with you, your Google Business Profile, your listings and the pages behind them.

  3. 3

    Better enquiries, not simply more

Being found by somebody typing a survey search rather than a panic search changes the shape of the week. For most drainage firms that is the point.

  4. 4

A page that turns the click into a call

Clear services, honest coverage, a number in reach and a request form that captures the address and the deadline.

The price

The whole plan, itemised. No line you find out about later.

For a drainage company that needs a website customers trust enough to ring, without a design invoice before a page exists.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works

Your side of it fits between two jobs.

Choose a plan, tell us about the business, look at the draft. We write the words, including the ones that explain a survey to somebody who has never seen one.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Website, or Website + SEO. Your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

  2. 2

    Tell us about the business

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the work you take on, your patch and hours, how you charge, anything you hold, your logo and job photographs.

  3. 3

    Ready to Build

We check we have everything, and say exactly what is missing rather than letting the job sit quietly.

  4. 4

    First draft

A working draft on a laptop and a phone. Look at it the way your customers will: outside, one-handed, in a hurry.

  5. 5

    Approve and launch

Reasonable in-scope revisions, then you approve. Nothing goes live until you say so.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions drainage companies ask us

How much does a website for a drainage company cost?
£49.99 a month, with a £0 upfront website design fee. Your first monthly payment is taken at signup, and the Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 payments of £49.99, £899.82 in total. No design bill at the start, no separate build charge later.
What does the monthly plan actually cover?
A custom-built WordPress website, generally up to five pages, written around the work you take on and the areas you cover. It includes your domain name, managed hosting and SSL, regular backups, security kept current, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry and survey request forms that reach you, basic Google foundations, ongoing technical management, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, support and your own Client Platform. You never touch WordPress.
Is the website mine at the end of the 18 months?
Yes. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, the finished website is yours. Stay with PrimeStart on a rolling monthly basis at the same £49.99, with no new minimum term starting, or take it elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the licences behind third-party parts of a site, such as plugins and fonts.
Can the site explain what a CCTV survey is and who needs one?
Yes, and on most drainage sites it is the page that earns the best work. Very few customers have seen a drain camera, so we write a straight explanation of what the survey involves, what the report shows and who asks for one: buyers, sellers, landlords, insurers, and anyone whose drain keeps blocking. It comes from what you tell us, and never pushes a survey at somebody who needs a jetter.
Can the site show a fixed price for clearing a blockage?
If that is how you charge, yes. Plenty of drainage firms publish a fixed price for a standard clearance and explain what would change it: access, a collapsed pipe, a second visit. We state it exactly as you give it to us. If you charge a call-out plus an hourly rate, or price it on arrival, the site says that instead. We never invent a figure, a fee or a response time.
Who writes the words, and how soon will I see a first draft?
We write them. You tell us what you take on, where you go and how you charge, and we turn that into pages in everyday language. We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build; payment alone does not start that period. You review the draft in your Client Platform, and nothing is published until you approve it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
You do not need it to start. Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the website included rather than charged on top. It is monthly work on how easily local customers find you: three priority searches agreed with you, your Google Business Profile and local listings, monthly improvements to the site, and a clear report in your Client Platform. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it counts towards the 18-month Website term as well. Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not.
