Web design for florists

Weddings are planned. Funerals are not. Both need answering.

No other shop serves two customers this far apart on the same afternoon. One is eighteen months out with a mood board; the other has been given an hour by a funeral director and needs to know whether you can deliver to a crematorium on Thursday. A florist's website has to hold both without either feeling like an afterthought. We build that, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

Weddings and events

The wedding enquiry is worth more than a hundred bouquets.

One wedding is a month of hand-tieds. The enquiry needs to arrive with enough detail to reply properly, and it needs to feel like the beginning of a conversation rather than an order form for a large bunch.

  • Ask what they need, not what they want

Bouquets, buttonholes, table flowers, an arch, church or venue. A short checklist is far easier to fill in than an empty box, and it produces an enquiry you can actually price.

  • Colours and feel, in their words

"Soft, mostly white and green" tells you more than any dropdown of flower names, and it lets somebody who knows nothing about flowers describe what they want.

  • Invite them into the shop

Weddings are won across a counter with a bucket of stems on it. The form's job is to get somebody through the door, not to close the sale.

Funeral work is handled the opposite way: a phone number at the top of the page, the funeral directors you work with named, and the delivery deadlines said plainly.

Delivery

Where you deliver, and by when, decides half the orders.

Somebody ordering flowers is almost always ordering them for an address that is not their own, often in a hurry, and often from another part of the country. If the site cannot tell them quickly whether you cover that postcode and whether it can go today, they ring somebody else.

  • Publish the cut-off time

"Order by 11am for same-day delivery" is the single most useful line on a florist's website, and roughly half of them do not have it anywhere.

  • Name the villages

People search for a florist by the place they are sending flowers to, not by the place you are in. Listing the villages you cover is how those searches find you.

  • Hospitals, care homes and crematoria

The delivery addresses with rules of their own. Saying which ones you deliver to, and what they allow, saves a difficult phone call at a difficult moment.

Stamford, Rutland and south Lincolnshire
  • Stamford
  • Oakham
  • Bourne
  • Uppingham
  • Ketton
  • Market Deeping
  • Ryhall
  • Empingham

Your site plan

Five pages, and two of them serve completely different customers.

Weddings and funerals both deserve a proper page of their own. Everything else is the shop: what you make, where you deliver and how to reach you before the cut-off.

Website + SEO

Why a shop with a good window still needs finding.

SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. A florist's window sells to the people walking past it; most of the orders that matter come from somebody two hundred miles away searching for a town they are not in.

The kind of searches SEO works on

  1. florist near me Stamford
  2. funeral flowers Stamford
  3. wedding florist Stamford

£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

  1. 1

A site that looks like your flowers

Your own work, photographed on the bench, tells somebody in Aberdeen that the flowers arriving at their mother's house in Stamford will be worth having.

  2. 2

Found by the people already searching

"Florist near me", "funeral flowers" and the wedding searches are all made by people who are definitely buying flowers today or on a fixed date. There is no browsing audience to persuade.

  3. 3

The right enquiries, not more of them

Weddings and funeral work are worth targeting properly. Being visible for the searches that carry real value beats being vaguely visible for everything.

  4. 4

A page built to convert once they arrive

Delivery area, cut-off time, a tappable phone number and a wedding enquiry that asks the right things. There is nothing to work out, which matters when somebody is upset or in a rush.

The Google Business Profile does a great deal of the work for a shop with a door on the street — hours, photographs, replies to reviews — and the SEO work includes keeping it accurate alongside the site.

Your Client Platform

Change this week's flowers from the bench.

Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives while it is being built, and where you ask for changes once it is live.

  • Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
  • Send new photographs and prices straight from your phone
  • Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
  • Preview the draft on a phone before anybody else sees it
  • Approve the website before it goes live
  • Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
  • See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)

Prices move with the market and the flowers move with the season. Sending an update is a message, not a project.

The plans

The same florist's website, with or without the monthly SEO work.

The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.

A florist's website that answers delivery and cut-off instantly, sells by occasion, and treats weddings and funerals as the different jobs they are.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

Want PrimeStart working on how customers find you? Website + SEO is £349.99 a month in total, with the same website included. The same managed website, plus monthly work on three agreed searches and the Business Profile that carries most shop traffic. How SEO works

How it works

Your part takes an afternoon in the quiet week after Valentine's.

Choose a plan, send us your collections and photographs, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

  2. 2

    Send us the shop

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: your collections and prices, the delivery area and cut-off, the funeral directors you work with, wedding photographs, opening hours, and where enquiries should land.

  3. 3

    Ready to Build

We check we have what we need. If a price or a delivery rule needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.

  4. 4

    First draft

A working draft on a phone first, because that is where nearly every order starts.

  5. 5

    Approve and launch

Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions florists ask us

How much does a website for a florist cost?
£49.99 a month. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first £49.99 payment is taken at signup. The Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 monthly payments of £49.99, or £899.82 in total. That covers the design and build, managed hosting, your domain name, SSL, security, backups, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry forms, basic Google foundations, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, and your Client Platform.
What happens at the end of the 18 months?
The website is yours. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, you can stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the relevant third-party licences, which we explain at the time.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is included in the Website and managed by PrimeStart alongside the hosting and the SSL certificate. If you already own one, we work with the domain you have.
Can people order and pay on the website?
No. PrimeStart sites do not include a shop or payments. What they do very well is show your collections and prices, make the phone number tappable, and send you a properly detailed enquiry. If you already use an ordering platform or a relay service, we link straight to it so the site stays fast and you keep the system you know.
Should I show prices when the market moves?
Show three sizes with a price each, and say that seasonal availability varies. Customers are trying to work out whether a £35 bouquet or a £65 one is right for the occasion, not to hold you to a stem count. It is also what stops the phone call that begins "how much are your flowers?".
How do I handle funeral work without it feeling commercial?
Give it its own page, keep the tone quiet, and lead with the practical things somebody needs at that moment: what you make, what it costs, which funeral directors you work with, and by when you need the order. Being clear is a kindness when somebody is trying to get it right and has very little time.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment and onboarding alone do not start that period. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
SEO is optional ongoing work on your visibility for three agreed local searches, at £349.99 a month in total with the Website included: the £49.99 is not charged on top. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it also counts towards the 18-month Website term. For a shop with a door on the street, much of the value sits in the Business Profile alongside the site. Nobody can promise a position on Google or a number of orders, and we do not.
