Web design for tilers
People choose a tiler on the cuts and the grout lines.
Somebody is standing in a half-stripped bathroom with a pallet of 600×1200 porcelain and one question: can this person set it out properly? They will not read a services list to find out. They open your photographs, look at how a tile meets the shower tray and where the cut lands beside a socket, and decide from that. We build the site around your finished rooms, then host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

The work
A tiler's website is a gallery with a phone number on it.
Nobody has ever chosen a tiler from a paragraph. They open the photographs, zoom into a corner, look at where the pattern lands at the window, then they ring. So the gallery gets the width of the screen, and every job is captioned with the room, the tile and the size.

Photographs here are illustrative. Your gallery is your own work, and we add rooms as you send them.

The detail
Good tiling is decided before the first tile goes on.
Most customers cannot explain why one bathroom looks right and another looks wrong. Your website can, in five short paragraphs, and it puts you in front of every price that turned up with nothing behind it.
This is the section that separates you from the man with a wet saw in the back of a van. It also puts off the customer who only wants the lowest number.
- 01
Setting out
Where the first full tile lands, which wall carries the cuts and how the pattern meets the door. Set out badly, there is a sliver beside the frame and a half tile at eye level. Set out properly, nobody notices anything, which is the point.
- 02
Cuts around sockets, pipes and valves
A straight edge is easy. The job is judged on the hole around the shower valve, the notch behind a pipe and the socket sitting square in one tile instead of straddling a joint.
- 03
Levels, lippage and large formats
600×1200 porcelain shows every millimetre of a wall that is out. A flat substrate, a levelling system and a full bed of adhesive keep an edge from catching the light, and a close-up is where a customer sees it.
- 04
Tanking and preparation
Shower enclosures and wet rooms are waterproofed before a tile is lifted, over boarded walls and a floor levelled first. This is where failures come from, and where somebody who has had a leak through a ceiling is searching hardest.
- 05
Grout, trims and the silicone line
Even joints, a grout colour chosen against the tile, mitred edges or a trim, and a silicone line straight the whole way round. The last hour of the job is what they look at every morning for ten years.
You tell us which of these you take on and which to leave off. Nothing appears on the site that you do not do.
Three rooms, three jobs
A wet room, a splashback and a hall floor are not the same work.
A wet room is waterproofing that happens to finish in tiles. A splashback is half a day around a hob and a run of sockets. A hall floor is levelling, setting out and two hundred kilos of porcelain carried through a house somebody is living in. Customers search for them separately and worry about different things, so the site keeps them on separate pages with their own photographs.
That is also how people find you. Somebody in Sheffield types tiler near me, somebody in Chesterfield types bathroom tiler because their fitter has let them down, and somebody who has seen a herringbone floor types the pattern. Each should land on a page that already looks like the room in their head, with the towns you cover written where they can see them.
And if half your week is tiling for bathroom fitters or a builder, there is a short trade page too: the rates you work to, how far you travel and how you fit around a programme.

The enquiry
A form that asks what you would ask on the phone.
"How much to tile a bathroom?" is not a question anybody can answer, and answering it badly costs you an evening. The form asks the four things that decide the price, so an enquiry arrives ready to price or ready to book a measure.
- 1The room, and what is in it
Walls, floor or both. Shower, wet room, splashback or hallway. Enough to know whether this is a morning or a fortnight.
- 2A rough size, or photos instead
Most people cannot give you square metres. The form says so, and asks for the width of a wall and a photo from the doorway instead.
- 3Tiles bought, ordered, or still a pinboard
Whether the tiles exist yet changes the lead time, the adhesive and the conversation. Better to know before the visit.
- 4You answer from the van
It all lands in your inbox as one message: room, size, tiles, photos and a number to ring. Ten minutes at the end of the day clears the lot.
If you would rather people rang, your number stays the biggest thing on every page. The form is for the ones who never will.
Your site plan
Five pages, split the way tiling is actually searched for.
People do not search for a tiler and then read a list. They search for the room they are standing in. A page each for bathrooms, kitchens and floors gives every one of those searches somewhere to land.

Credentials
Insurance and training belong beside the photographs.
A tiler works alone in somebody's house for a week, with a wet saw and three thousand pounds of their tiles. The photographs make them want you. What you hold makes them comfortable booking, so it sits beside the gallery and beside the form rather than on a page nobody opens.
We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no claims about how long you have been trading.
Things we'll display if you hold them
- Public liability insurance, with the level you carry
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in wall and floor tiling
- The Tile Association membership
- Manufacturer training or approved-installer status, such as BAL, Mapei or Schlüter
- Wet room and waterproofing system training
- TrustMark or Which? Trusted Trader registration
- Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Checkatrade, MyBuilder
Scheme names here are illustrative. You tell us what you hold during onboarding, and that is exactly what appears.
The logic of SEO
The searches that decide who gets the bathroom.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. For a tiler those three usually split between the trade word everybody types, the room you want more of, and the pattern somebody searches once they have decided.
The kind of searches SEO works on
- bathroom tiler Sheffield
- floor tiling Sheffield
- wet room tiler Sheffield
£349.99/month total, website included. SEO never promises a position, a number of enquiries or a revenue figure. It promises the work, every month.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
- 1
A website that looks like your work
Three tilers get compared on a phone before anybody makes a call. The one whose photographs are large, current and captioned tends to get it, whatever the other two were going to charge.
- 2
Found by the people already looking
The SEO work is monthly work on the local searches, your Google Business Profile and the listings that decide who turns up when somebody near you types tiler near me.
- 3
More of the rooms you want
Visibility for bathroom tiler brings bathrooms. Visibility for a pattern or a format brings floors. Choosing the three searches is really choosing the kind of work that arrives.
- 4
A site built to turn a look into a message
Photographs at the top, the towns you cover in the header, and a form that asks for a size and three pictures. Attention is no use unless the enquiry arrives ready to price.
Your Client Platform
One place to watch it being built, and to send the next room.
Every PrimeStart customer gets their own Client Platform. It is where the project lives: the stage it has reached, what we are waiting on, the draft to look through, and the button that says you are happy with it.
- Follow the build stage by stage, without emailing to ask
- Send photographs of a finished room straight from your phone
- Message PrimeStart directly, with the whole thread in one place
- Preview the draft on a laptop and a phone, and mark up changes
- Approve the website before anything goes live
- Ask for changes afterwards, and order services when you need them
- See your SEO report, tracked searches and recommendations each month (Website + SEO)
There is nothing technical to learn. One login to your Client Platform, and you never have to open WordPress.

The plans
The same tiling website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A tiler's website built around finished rooms, close-up detail and a form that asks for sizes and photos.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works
Your part takes less time than setting out one wall.
Choose a plan, send us the photographs already on your phone and a few facts about the business, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us the rooms
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the work you take on, the towns you cover, your photographs, your logo if you have one, and where enquiries should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a room has no photograph or a service needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a laptop and a phone: gallery, room pages and the enquiry form, with your own work in it.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
