Web design for driveway and paving companies
The cheapest drive on the street is the one relaid first.
Block paving laid on sand sinks in three winters. Resin over a failing base cracks. Your customer cannot see any of that, so they compare a photograph and a number, and the firm doing it properly loses. A driveway website has one job: make the sub-base part of the sale. We build it that way, then host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.
- Per month: £49.99
- Upfront website design fee: £0

The materials
Five surfaces, and the honest case for each.
Most driveway websites list materials as if they were flavours. Customers want to know which one suits their house, their budget and how much scrubbing it will need in year five. Say that, and you are the only firm that has been straight with them.
This section wins the jobs where somebody has already had three quotes and cannot tell them apart. It also quietly filters out the customer who was only ever going to buy the cheapest square metre.
- 01
Block paving
The default for a reason: repairable a block at a time, endless colours and laying patterns, and it copes with a car turning on it. Needs the joints kept sanded and a wash every couple of years, and it will settle if the base was skimped.
- 02
Resin bound
Smooth, permeable and modern-looking, laid over a solid base — usually tarmac or concrete. It is only ever as good as what is underneath, which is why the failures people have read about are base failures, not resin failures.
- 03
Tarmac
Fast, cost-effective and right for a long or awkward drive. Laid hot and rolled in one go, so there is no jointing to maintain, but it wants edging restraints or it spreads.
- 04
Imprinted concrete
One continuous slab, patterned and sealed. Nothing grows through it and nothing sinks, but a crack is a repair you can see, and it needs resealing every few years to keep the colour.
- 05
Gravel and permeable build-ups
The cheapest surface, the best for drainage, and the one that needs a grid to stop it migrating onto the pavement. Worth showing properly because it solves the planning question for a lot of front gardens.
You tell us which surfaces you lay and which you will not touch. Nothing appears on the site that sends you to a job you would rather not do.
Credentials
A drive is four figures paid to somebody who knocked or was found online.
This trade carries a reputation it did not all earn, and your customer has read the same stories. Insurance, waste carrier registration and a written guarantee are not paperwork. They are the reason somebody chooses the quote that is not the cheapest.
We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no claims about how long you have been trading.
Things we'll display if you hold them
- Public liability insurance, with the level you carry
- Employers' liability insurance if you have a team
- Waste carrier registration with the Environment Agency
- Manufacturer approval or installer training for the resin systems you lay
- Interlay, Marshalls or Brett registered installer status
- Your written guarantee, with what it covers and for how long
- Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Checkatrade, Trustpilot
Scheme names here are illustrative. You tell us what you hold during onboarding, and that is exactly what appears.
Where the work comes from
One drive on a street sells the next three.
This is the most visible trade there is. A finished drive is on show every day to everyone who walks past, which is why so much of your work arrives as "you did number 14". A website turns that into something you can measure: the neighbour who has been meaning to ask can look you up at nine at night, see the same job in your gallery and send a photograph of their own.
It works locally too. Somebody in Coventry types driveways near me, somebody in Kenilworth types resin driveway because they have seen one and liked it, and somebody in Leamington types the problem — cracked, sinking, weeds. Each should land on a page that already looks like the drive they are picturing, with the towns you work in written where they can see them.

The enquiry
Two numbers and a photograph make a quote possible.
Nobody prices a driveway from an email, but you can decide in ten seconds whether a job is worth a measure-up. The form asks for the size, the slope and what is there now, so your evenings stop disappearing into phone calls that go nowhere.
- 1Size, even approximately
Cars, not square metres. "Room for two cars" tells you as much as a tape would at this stage, and people will actually answer it.
- 2What is there now
Concrete, tarmac, gravel or grass. It changes the dig, the muck-away and half the price, and it is the question most forms never ask.
- 3Which way the water goes
Falling towards the house or the garage changes the job completely, and it is the difference between a drive that works and a claim.
- 4Three photographs from the pavement
Access, kerb, levels and what the neighbours have. It arrives as one message and you decide which measure-ups are worth the diary.
If you would rather people rang, your number stays the biggest thing on every page. The form is for the ones who never will.
Your site plan
Five pages, led by the material people have already decided on.
By the time somebody searches, they usually have a surface in mind and a picture saved. The site meets them there rather than making them read a company profile first.

SEO
Three searches, and the material decides the margin.
Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. In this trade the searches are unusually literal, because people search for the surface they have already chosen.
- £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
- 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
- Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
- 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
This is an illustration of a results page, not a promise of a position. Nobody can guarantee where a website appears on Google, and we do not.
Three example searches
- driveways Kenilworth
- block paving Kenilworth
- resin driveways Kenilworth
We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.
Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.
The plans
The same driveway website, with or without the monthly SEO work.
The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.
A driveway and paving website built around before-and-after pairs, honest material comparisons and a measure-up form.
Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.
Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works
Your part is one evening, not one of your weeks.
Choose a plan, send us the photographs already on your phone and a few facts about what you lay, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.
- 1
Choose your plan
Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.
- 2
Send us three drives
A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the surfaces you lay, your guarantee, the towns you cover, before-and-after photographs, and where enquiries should land.
- 3
Ready to Build
We check we have what we need. If a material has no photograph or your guarantee wording needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.
- 4
First draft
A working draft on a phone and a laptop: the pairs, the materials compared, and the measure-up form.
- 5
Approve and launch
Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.
You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.
