Web design for pest control companies

Nobody browses for a pest controller. They search once.

Somebody has just seen a rat cross the kitchen, or found bites on their arms, or been stung in their own loft. They are not comparing five companies. They open the first two results, look for the pest they have, and ring whichever one looks like it deals with that specific problem. A page per pest is worth more than any amount of company copy. We build it that way, host it and look after it, with a £0 upfront website design fee.

  • Per month: £49.99
  • Upfront website design fee: £0

Two kinds of call

A wasp nest and a rodent contract are not the same business.

One customer wants somebody today and will pay whatever it costs. The other is a letting agent or a restaurant manager setting up a schedule for the year. The site has to answer both without making either feel they are on the wrong page.

Today
The emergency

A wasp nest by the front door, a rat in the kitchen, bites appearing overnight. They are frightened or angry, they are on a phone, and they will ring whoever answers first and sounds like they have done it before.

  • Your number at the top of every page, tappable
  • Same-day and out-of-hours stated honestly
  • A page for the exact pest they have
  • What to do before you arrive, and what not to do
This year
Contracts and prevention

Restaurants, shops, letting agents, schools and food premises needing scheduled visits, documentation and somebody who will turn up when an inspector asks for records.

  • Scheduled visits with reports the customer can file
  • Qualifications and association membership shown clearly
  • Proofing work, not just treatment
  • A named contact and a route to a site survey

Both routes live on the site at once: the emergency stays one tap away on every page, and the contract work gets the detail it needs to be taken seriously.

The pests

People search for the animal, not for pest control.

Almost nobody types "pest control" first. They type rat, wasp nest, bed bugs or squirrels in the loft, because that is the thing frightening them. A page for each is the single most effective structure a pest control website can have, and most competitors do not bother.

  1. 01

    Rats and mice

The biggest search volume and the most repeat work. The page explains the difference between treatment and proofing, why baiting alone rarely ends it, and what a technician actually does on the first visit.

  2. 02

    Wasps and hornets

The summer emergency, priced per nest and usually done the same day. It funds a third of the year, so the page should be live and ready long before the first hot week.

  3. 03

    Bed bugs

The most distressing and the most expensive to get wrong. Explaining preparation, heat or insecticide treatment, follow-up visits and why one visit is rarely enough sets expectations that protect you later.

  4. 04

    Cockroaches, fleas and ants

Often connected to a property rather than a person, which makes landlords and agents a natural audience for this page.

  5. 05

    Squirrels, birds and moles

Wildlife work where the law matters. Written carefully, because some species and their nests are protected and the page has to say so.

  6. 06

    Commercial and food premises

Scheduled visits, bait station records and documentation for inspections. A different reader entirely, and one who will read the whole page.

Each pest gets its own page with its own signs, its own treatment and its own price guide, so the search that brought somebody in lands exactly where it should.

Credentials

You are putting professional-use products in somebody's home.

This is a regulated trade and customers half know it. They are letting somebody use rodenticides near their children and pets, and the difference between a qualified technician and a man with a can from a hardware shop is the whole decision. Say what you hold.

We display exactly what you hold and nothing beyond it: no borrowed badges, no invented ratings, no claims about how long you have been trading.

  • RSPH or equivalent Level 2 award in pest management
  • Rodenticide stewardship certification
  • Public liability insurance, with the level you carry
  • Safe use, storage and disposal procedures
  • DBS checks where you work in schools or care settings
  • Reviews wherever they already live: Google, Checkatrade, Trustpilot

Where you go

Same-day only means something if you say where.

"Fast response" is what every pest control website says and it persuades nobody. Naming the towns you can reach today, and being honest about the ones you cannot, is far more convincing than a promise with no geography attached.

  • Say what today actually means

Same-day in the inner towns, next morning further out. Customers forgive a boundary. They do not forgive being told two hours and waiting until tomorrow.

  • Wasps are a summer radius

In August you can fill a day inside five miles. In February the same day covers the county. The site can carry both without contradiction.

  • Contracts justify the distance

A scheduled commercial customer forty minutes away is worth the drive in a way a single mouse job is not.

Same-day where you can reach, next-day where you cannot.

Your site plan

Five pages, named after the thing in the kitchen.

Structure the site the way people search and you will be found by people your competitors never see, because they put everything on one "services" page.

More about the Client Platform

Illustration of the Client Platform for a fictional pest control companies business. SEO reporting is included with Website + SEO.

SEO

Three searches, and one of them only matters for ten weeks.

Website + SEO is optional monthly work on how easily local customers find you, aimed at three searches agreed with you. Pest control is unusually seasonal, so when the work happens matters as much as which searches you pick.

  • £349.99/monthTotal. The website is included: the £49.99 Website is not added on top.
  • 3 searchesAgreed with you at the start. Additional agreed search targets are £50/month each.
  • Monthly workSearch and competitor research, website improvements, Google Business Profile work, local listings, technical monitoring and a clear monthly report in your Client Platform.
  • 6-month minimumAfter the SEO minimum you can continue, or stop the SEO work and keep the Website for the rest of its 18-month term. Every month of it counts towards both.
What we don’t promise

Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not. What we commit to is the agreed work every month, tracking what happens, and changing course when the evidence says to.

  1. pest control near me
  2. wasp nest removal near me
  3. rat control near me

Wasp searches collapse into about ten weeks of the year, so the visibility has to be built months before it is needed. We research your area first, recommend three that make commercial sense, explain why, and agree them with you before any work starts. Additional agreed searches are +£50 a month each.

Already have a website you are happy with? Ongoing SEO is only available with the managed website, as Website + SEO — PrimeStart does not run SEO on a site it does not host. If you would rather keep your current site, talk to us first and we will tell you honestly whether moving it across is worth it.

The plans

The same pest control website, with or without the monthly SEO work.

The Website is the whole thing: designed, built, hosted, managed and kept current, with your domain name included. Website + SEO adds monthly work on how easily local customers find it. Clear pricing. Straightforward terms. No surprises.

A pest control website built around a page per pest, an emergency route and the qualifications that separate you from a can from a hardware shop.

Designers usually charge for the build before the website exists. We absorb that cost and recover it through the monthly service, which is why the plan carries a minimum term, and why there is nothing to pay up front beyond the first month.

Complete the term and the website is yours: stay with us on a rolling basis with no new minimum, or move it to hosting of your own.

How it works

Your part takes one evening.

Choose a plan, tell us which pests you treat and what you hold, then tell us what to change on the draft. We do the rest.

See the full process, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Website, or Website + SEO. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first monthly payment is taken at signup.

  2. 2

    Tell us what you treat

A short onboarding in your Client Platform: the pests you handle, your certifications and insurance, the towns you reach same-day, your prices where you publish them, and where enquiries should land.

  3. 3

    Ready to Build

We check we have what we need. If a certification or a price needs a decision, we say exactly which, and get on with the rest.

  4. 4

    First draft

A working draft on a phone and a laptop: a page per pest, the emergency route, and the commercial section.

  5. 5

    Approve and launch

Reasonable in-scope changes, then you approve it. Nothing is published until you say so.

Timing, stated properly

We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment alone doesn’t start the clock; missing details, revisions or domain delays can extend it.

Before you approve

You review the draft and request reasonable in-scope changes. If there’s a genuine problem we can’t put right within scope after reasonable attempts, we can cancel the agreement and refund Website subscription payments made, subject to any disclosed non-recoverable third-party costs.

Questions pest control companies ask us

How much does a website for a pest control company cost?
£49.99 a month. The upfront website design fee is £0 and your first £49.99 payment is taken at signup. The Website runs on an 18-month minimum term: 18 monthly payments of £49.99, or £899.82 in total. That covers the design and build, managed hosting, your domain name, SSL, security, backups, WordPress and plugin updates, enquiry forms, basic Google foundations, reasonable small changes subject to fair use, and your Client Platform.
What happens at the end of the 18 months?
The website is yours. Once the minimum term is complete and the payments due under it have been made, you can stay with PrimeStart at £49.99 a month on a rolling basis with no new minimum term, or move the website elsewhere and arrange your own hosting. Transfer is subject to the relevant third-party licences, which we explain at the time.
Is the domain name included?
Yes. Your domain name is included in the Website and managed by PrimeStart alongside the hosting and the SSL certificate. If you already own one, we work with the domain you have.
The Website is generally up to five pages. I want a page per pest.
That is exactly how we would spend them. A page each for rodents, wasps, bed bugs and commercial work, plus the home page, uses the five better than a generic services page ever would. We agree the structure with you during onboarding, and if the shape of your business changes later you can ask for changes through your Client Platform.
Should I publish prices for wasp nests?
For wasps, usually yes — it is close to a fixed job and a published price wins the call. For rodents and bed bugs we would show a starting price with the things that change it, because a two-visit mouse job and a whole-house bed bug treatment are not comparable and a single figure would mislead.
Can the site say I am BPCA registered?
If you are, yes. You tell us during onboarding exactly which memberships, certifications and insurances you hold, and we display those and nothing else. We never add an association badge you are not entitled to use.
How quickly will I see a first draft?
We aim to have your first website draft ready within 5 working days once PrimeStart has everything needed and confirms your project is Ready to Build. Payment and onboarding alone do not start that period. Nothing is published until you have reviewed and approved it.
What is SEO, and do I need it to start?
SEO is optional ongoing work on your visibility for three agreed local searches, at £349.99 a month in total with the Website included: the £49.99 is not charged on top. The SEO work has a 6-month minimum, and every month of it also counts towards the 18-month Website term. It suits this trade because seasonal visibility has to be built before the season arrives. Nobody can promise a position on Google or a number of enquiries, and we do not.
