Hackney Marshes is 136 hectares of protected common on the Lea flood plain, bought by the London County Council in 1890 and opened to the public in 1893. The council's own count puts 82 football, rugby and cricket pitches across North Marsh, South Marsh and Mabley Green, alongside changing rooms at the Hackney Marshes Centre and the Hackney Marshes Pavilion, a cafe bar, a conservation area and a tree nursery. Nothing here trades from a shop: the businesses that work this ground are coaches, groundskeepers, league organisers, physios and caterers, found by someone already standing on the grass with a phone. We design, build, host and manage a professional WordPress website for £49.99 a month built for exactly that moment, and we can work on your Google visibility once it is live.

The price is the same on Hackney Marshes as it is anywhere else in the UK. Not sure which fits? Talk to someone first or see the full pricing details.
The search happens standing on the grass, minutes before kick-off.
"Sunday league coach Hackney Marshes", "pitch booking Mabley Green", "5-a-side near me": every one of these is typed on a phone at pitch side, not at a desk. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these.
- 01“sunday league coach Hackney Marshes”
Typed by a parent or player standing on North Marsh or South Marsh before a match, who needs to know which pitch you coach on and how to book, not a general description of the marshes.
- 02“pitch booking Mabley Green”
Searched by a team organiser who wants to see availability and a number that gets answered on a Sunday morning, since nobody is walking past a booking office here.
- 03“sports physio Hackney Marshes Centre”
Made by an injured player at the changing rooms who needs a same-day appointment nearby, found on a phone with no shopfront to point them there.
Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people on the marshes actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

Hackney Marshes
136 hectares of protected common, 82 pitches, and no parade anywhere on it.
Hackney Marshes is 136.01 hectares of protected commons on the River Lea flood plain, formed by periodic flooding that historically kept the land from being permanently occupied. The London County Council bought 337 acres of it in 1890 and opened the site to the public in 1893. Hackney Council's own description puts 82 football, rugby and cricket pitches across North Marsh, South Marsh and Mabley Green, along with 31 changing rooms at the Hackney Marshes Centre and 16 at the Hackney Marshes Pavilion, a cafe bar with a roof terrace, meeting rooms, a trim trail, a bird hide, a conservation area and a tree nursery. Mabley Green itself has its own history: taken in 1915 for the National Projectile Factory and converted to a recreation ground in 1922.
None of that is a shopping street, and nothing here trades like one. The businesses working the marshes are coaches running Sunday league sides, groundskeepers maintaining the pitches, league administrators booking them out, physios treating players between matches, caterers running the cafe bar and functions, and the conservation and tree-nursery work the site needs. A customer for any of them is standing on open grass, not walking past a window, and the only sign they will ever read is whatever comes up on their phone.
That decides what the website has to do. It has to say exactly which marsh - North, South or Mabley Green - and which building, load fast on a phone with patchy signal at pitch side, and give a number somebody actually answers, including on a Sunday morning before a nine o'clock kick-off. A generic "Hackney football coaching" page that could describe any park in London does none of that; a page that names the marsh and the building does the whole job a shopfront would have done anywhere else.

Hackney Marshes industries
The ground decides the business. The website has to do the job a shopfront can't.
A Sunday league coach on North Marsh and a caterer working the Hackney Marshes Centre both trade with no passing footfall and no sign, and both are found the same way: a phone search on the grass.
Everything a Hackney Marshes business needs from its website, in one monthly plan.
Design, build, hosting, security and the ongoing technical work are all part of the same plan, so there is nothing to add on and nothing to remember to renew.
