Web design at the Stamford Hill seam

The same shop can be a household name on St Ann's Road and invisible half a mile up toward Seven Sisters, and the reason is usually the website.

A website built for two audiences on the same street, for £49.99 a month.

  • Website: £49.99/month
  • Website design fee: £0 upfront
  • Minimum term, then it is yours: 18 months

Illustration: South Tottenham marked on a map of Greater London, beside a listing card for a local business whose website PrimeStart looks after.

Two audiences, two sets of searches, on the same stretch of St Ann's Road.

"Bakery South Tottenham", "kosher bakery N15", "nursery near Seven Sisters Road": the same business can appear in two very different search patterns. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these, chosen around who you actually want to reach more of, so more of the right customers find you.

  1. 01
    “bakery South Tottenham

A general local search decided on distance, photographs and current opening hours, in the same way as anywhere else in N15.

  2. 02
    “kosher bakery N15

A specific search from within the community around the Stamford Hill seam, where the right listing in the right directory matters as much as the website itself, and correct hours around Shabbat and festivals prevent a wasted trip.

  3. 03
    “nursery near Seven Sisters Road

Families in the streets around St Ann's Road and Markfield Park choose on proximity and trust, and want the site to answer plainly whether the setting suits their own household's needs.

Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and the actual audiences you serve here. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

South Tottenham

The seam between Seven Sisters and Stamford Hill, belonging to neither.

This area has no single dominant retail spine. Trade runs in runs and clusters around the local station, a small Overground stop on the Suffragette line 350 metres from Seven Sisters, and along the High Road, Seven Sisters Road and St Ann's Road. It is not a designated district centre in its own right, and it should be described honestly as what it is: a dense residential area between two much stronger identities, Seven Sisters to the north with its market and interchange, and Stamford Hill immediately south, which sits mostly in Hackney and is the centre of an Ashkenazi strictly Orthodox Jewish community with its own commercial artery along Stamford Hill Broadway.

That position gives the area a genuinely unusual commercial character. Haringey's own Jewish Population Needs Analysis of January 2024 covers the local Jewish population and records that the Seven Sisters ward has the largest proportion of Jewish residents of any Haringey ward, at 18.1%. Alongside the everyday retail and services that any dense N15 residential area needs, the trade here includes kosher food retail, bakeries and fishmongers, modest clothing, bookshops and Judaica, and family-run services serving that community specifically. A general N15 customer and a strictly Orthodox customer can be shopping on the same stretch of road for entirely different things, checked in entirely different places.

The consequence for a website is unglamorous but real: a business on the High Road or St Ann's Road often has two audiences with different expectations of how information is presented, and building for only one silently switches off the other. That doesn't mean guessing at religious practice or presenting an audience as more than it is — it means clear, fast, dependable pages that carry the essential information without relying on video or social platforms to do it, correct listings in the places each audience actually looks, including community directories, and honest opening hours around Shabbat and festivals so nobody turns up to a closed door at a shop near Markfield Park or the station. Getting this right roughly doubles the addressable market of a business that already has one.

The trade decides the shape of the site. Two audiences decide how it's found.

A bakery serving both a general N15 customer and the Stamford Hill community, and a nursery serving families in the streets around St Ann's Road, need sites built around who actually walks in. Each starts from how its customers choose, then makes sure neither audience is invisible to it.

Questions from South Tottenham businesses

Do you work with businesses here?
Yes, around South Tottenham station, the High Road and St Ann's Road, and along the seam toward the Stamford Hill boundary, as well as businesses that cover the wider Seven Sisters area. Everything is designed, built and managed remotely, so there is no office to visit.
We serve both a general customer and the local Jewish community. Can one website do both?
Yes, and it usually should. This area sits at the seam between the two, and Haringey's own Jewish Population Needs Analysis of January 2024 records that the Seven Sisters ward has the largest proportion of Jewish residents of any Haringey ward, at 18.1%. A site here can carry clear, fast pages and correct listings for both audiences without treating either as secondary, and doing that properly can roughly double the addressable market of a business that already has one.
Do you handle sensitive things like Shabbat and festival opening hours?
We describe an audience, we don't presume anything about individual observance or religious practice. What we do build is honest, current opening hours around Shabbat and festivals where that's relevant to a shop near the Stamford Hill boundary, so a customer isn't left arriving at a closed door. The details always come from you.
We already have a website we like. Can you just do the SEO?
No. SEO is not sold on its own any more — it is only available as part of Website + SEO, £349.99 a month in total, and that means building you a new PrimeStart website rather than adding search work onto the one you have now. For a shop on St Ann's Road or the High Road that already looks right, that's exactly what Website + SEO is built for. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
What does a business website cost here?
Website is £49.99 a month with a £0 upfront website design fee, and it costs the same near St Ann's Road as it does anywhere else. The first £49.99 is taken at signup, and there is an 18-month minimum term, £899.82 in total. Once that term is complete, the website is yours.
How does ongoing SEO work?
Website + SEO is £349.99 a month total, with the website included rather than charged on top. Each month we work on three agreed local searches, for example "kosher bakery N15" alongside a more general local search, plus your Google Business Profile and the website itself. Nobody can promise rankings, and we don't.
Is this area part of Stamford Hill?
No. Stamford Hill is mostly in the London Borough of Hackney and has its own commercial artery along Stamford Hill Broadway. This area is in Haringey, sits at the seam next to it, and is shaped by that proximity without being the same place. We keep that distinction accurate in your site's copy and listings.
