Web design around Tottenham Green
There is no high street here. CONEL's timetable and the Bernie Grant Arts Centre's programme decide when your customers are actually around.
A Tottenham Green website built around a college and theatre timetable, for £49.99 a month.
- Website: £49.99/month

Tottenham Green is a civic square, not a shopping street: the Grade II listed Town Hall, the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, the Marcus Garvey Library, a leisure centre and a further education college campus all sit around the green, and retail is limited to the High Road frontage passing it plus a monthly Sunday market. Footfall here is institutional and rhythmic, driven by term dates, class schedules, library hours and an evening theatre programme, rather than by a parade of shops holding people between errands. We design, build, host and look after a professional WordPress website for £49.99 a month that publishes the hours you actually trade to and reaches the people whose day is set by the buildings around the green, and we can work on your Google visibility as well.

Tottenham Green
Tottenham Town Hall, the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, the Marcus Garvey Library, the leisure centre and the college: five public buildings around a green, and almost no shopping between them.
Tottenham Green is genuinely small, and it should be described that way rather than inflated into something it isn't. The area around the green is home to the Grade II listed Tottenham Town Hall, the Marcus Garvey Library, The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London, Tottenham Green Leisure Centre and the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, a £15 million purpose-built multi-arts centre at Town Hall Approach Road designed by David Adjaye and opened in September 2007, with a 274-seat auditorium, studio and rehearsal space, a cafe and bar, and an enterprise centre. That is a genuine cultural and civic cluster. It is not a retail centre. There is no shopping parade of any depth, only the High Road frontage passing the green and a Sunday market on the second Sunday of the month.
That shapes trade completely differently from the working high street at Bruce Grove a few hundred metres south, or the market and interchange at Seven Sisters just beyond it. Here, the businesses that do well are the ones built around the institutions rather than in competition with a shopping street that doesn't exist: cafes and food near the college and the library, print and creative services near the arts centre's enterprise space, childcare and professional services on the surrounding streets, and community and training organisations that use the green's own buildings. Tottenham Green was designated a conservation area in 1976 and sits within the wider Tottenham High Road Historic Corridor, so what change is possible to the buildings themselves is limited in the same way it is at Bruce Grove.
The practical consequence is that opening hours here have to match a timetable nobody in the business sets. A college day starts and ends at fixed times; the library and leisure centre run to their own weekly schedule; the arts centre's programme creates evening surges around performance start times that have nothing to do with a normal closing time. A website that publishes real hours against that rhythm, and says plainly whether a business is open before an evening show or during college holidays, does the job a passing shopper would otherwise do by simply looking in the window — except there is no window to look in.
Two ways to start around the green.
A professional website, or that website with ongoing SEO from the start. The website is the same standard whichever route you take.

Searches here follow the college timetable and the Bernie Grant programme, not shop hours.
"Cafe near Tottenham Green", "photographer N15", "nursery near the college": people search around what's on at the institutions, at the moment their class, shift or show is starting or ending. Ongoing SEO is monthly work on three agreed searches like these, so more of those customers get the chance to find you.
- 01“cafe near Tottenham Green”
A search made minutes before a class at CONEL, a visit to the Marcus Garvey Library or a show at the Bernie Grant. It is decided on whether the place is actually open right then, which means real, current hours matter more here than almost anywhere else on the corridor.
- 02“photographer N15”
Often booked around an event at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre or a CONEL graduation, so the search is time-pressured and specific. A portfolio and a fast reply close it, not proximity alone.
- 03“nursery near the college”
Parents studying or working around the CONEL campus need childcare that fits term dates and class times, not standard 9-to-5 hours, so the site has to say plainly how the hours match a college day.
Examples only. The three searches are agreed with you around the work you want more of and what people around the green actually type. Nobody can promise a position, and we don't.

Tottenham Green industries
The trade decides the shape of the site. The institutions decide when anyone is around.
A cafe timed to the Marcus Garvey Library's opening hours and a creative practice pitching to the Bernie Grant's enterprise space need very different websites. Each starts from how its customers choose, then adds the institution that sets its rhythm.
